ng Heming listened to the little girl’s words, his expression sowhat stiff, then he spoke faintly, "This shop is mine."
"This shop is yours?" An Yin’s eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at the man, as if it was an incredible thing.
ng Heming saw the girl’s strong reaction, the gloomy look in his eyes gradually faded, and he pretended to be puzzled, "Why, don’t I look like the owner of this shop?"
"No, of course not." An Yin smiled awkwardly, muttering.
"Do you like the food here?"
Seeing the two were about to reach the front desk, ng Heming felt a sense of lancholy; their ti together was always so short.
"I like it." An Yin’s eyes sparkled, her face full of joy, "I also really like the environnt here." An Yin added.
Seeing her enjoynt, ng Heming seed encouraged, "Next ti you co, I’ll treat you to a al." ng Heming’s tall figure stood beside the girl, giving an invisible sense of pressure.
An Yin occasionally tilted her head, looking at the man’s well-defined side profile, trying to find sothing in her mind, because this man’s face seed familiar to her, but she couldn’t recall where she had seen it.
"Okay." Seeing that the other was so sincere, An Yin nodded her head.
She knew very well that given her spending habits, she shouldn’t be coming here to eat in the future.
At this mont, An Yin saw the cashier’s counter a few ters away, "I’ll go pay now, goodbye."
ng Heming stopped in his tracks, the little girl’s words tightening his heart, and he waved at her, "Mm."
An Yin glanced at him, then turned to leave.
After walking a few steps, she could feel a warm gaze on her back. She didn’t find it abrupt, instead, it made her feel a warm sensation inside.
Once ng Heming was left with only one person beside him, an attendant approached and walked up to him.
"Mr. ng, do you have any orders?" It was rare for Mr. ng to appear alone in a public place; seeing him standing still, the attendant mustered up the courage to ask, afraid of neglecting him.
ng Heming lowered his gaze, moving his eyes away from the girl’s back. His body seed to have exhausted all its strength, and he waved his hand, "Leave , I want to walk alone."
The mont he intended to go downstairs, when he saw the girl, he forgot his purpose. Now, he only wanted to be alone for a while.
An Yin approached the counter to pay. As she stated her room number, the cashier lady imdiately showed a sweet smile, "Miss, your table’s total is 108 yuan!"
After the cashier lady spoke, the security guard standing nearby cast a strange glance over them, but upon seeing the cashier’s serious expression, they rearranged their formal looks and didn’t let it slip.
"One-hundred and eight." An Yin’s large, sparkling eyes blinked, finding the number hard to believe.
"Yes, miss, you spent a total of one hundred and eight. Would you like to pay by scanning the code or in cash?" The cashier lady displayed a signature smile, her voice crisp.
"Scanning the code." An Yin said hurriedly, then nervously took out her phone from her bag to make the paynt.
After completing the paynt, she even forgot to take the bill. Her steps light and brisk through the lobby, she intentionally glanced around. When she noticed the man was no longer present, the smile on her face gradually faded, she felt as though a piece of her heart was missing.
Nonetheless, thinking that the al only cost over a hundred, her mood instantly turned joyous again.
Upon reaching the elevator, worried that wearing a mask might catch Bao Shaojin’s attention, she took it off.
Returning to the room, she talked about the price with the man. On the sofa, he sat gracefully, listening to her description without any expression, rely responding in a flat tone, "I told you, this place is great value for money."
An Yin pouted.
The little girl’s courage had grown increasingly bold now, often sneaking around him with little stunts, yet Bao Shaojin didn’t mind her antics.
At this mont, An Yin realized it had already gotten late outside, she ca to the table, put the pastries given by the elderly into her bag, and looking at the man, she said, "Let’s go."
Bao Shaojin stood up and slowly walked towards her.
The man’s steps were steady and full of masculine vigor, his solemn face without a smile. Making eye contact with him always made people feel unapproachable, exuding an innate sense of alienation.
The plan was to pack a portion of pastries to take away, but since soone had given her so, it was ultimately unnecessary.
The two walked out of the suite one after the other.
While taking the elevator, Bao Shaojin shielded the girl in the corner, standing in front of her.
The elevator paused on the fifth floor, indicating that soone was entering.
As the door opened, two elegantly dressed ladies stood outside, each carrying an exquisite handbag, one slightly frailer than the other being supported, showing they shared a good relationship.
As they entered the elevator, the two didn’t notice inside; one lady was absorbed in voicing her grievances.
"Sister, don’t you think he’s a scoundrel?" Mrs. Su’s face was full of resentnt, speaking with determination as her eyes locked onto Xu Ming.
Xu Ming wore a traditional jacket paired with a Chanel style dress. Her thin, bony fra clad in the fitted outfit gave an oddly uncomfortable appearance.
Xu Ming’s eyes appeared slightly dulled, staring blankly at the elevator door, clearly not taking her sister’s words to heart.
Seeing her sister remain silent for a long ti, Mrs. Su also noticed the strangers in the elevator, letting out a cold snort as she complained to her sister, "Anyway, I can’t handle him; from now on, I’ll just muddle through the days." After speaking, she put on a pitiful expression.
At this mont, Xu Ming, who hadn’t spoken for a while, turned her head to look at her sister’s red-rimd eyes, sighed, and said with a hint of helplessness, "I can’t help you with your problem."
"You can help." Mrs. Su excitedly raised her head, her voice sharp. Realizing her overreaction, she sheepishly lowered her gaze, her tone softening, "As long as brother-in-law intervenes, he’ll listen."
Finishing her words, Mrs. Su looked darkly at Xu Ming, trying to decipher Xu Ming’s thoughts from her face.
Upon hearing the words "brother-in-law," Xu Ming’s eyes flickered slightly, her bloodless face tinged with sorrow.
Seeing her sister keep silent, Mrs. Su shook her sister’s hand and pleaded coquettishly, "Sister, please help , you are the only one I can rely on now."
Mrs. Su implored with a face full of distress, deliberately lowering her voice to hide her dismay from others.
