The old lady of the Bo family saw her son hadn’t spoken for a long ti, and a soft string in her heart seed to be plucked. She said lightly, "People, you know, can only find happiness if they are content. What’s yours won’t run away."

That’s all she could say.

However, whether certain soone could understand the aning behind her words was another matter.

"Mom, I understand." The third Bo brother admitted he wasn’t as clever as his two brothers, but being born into a rchant family, he could always detect so hints in others’ words. The next second, he slowly stood up, "Then I won’t disturb your rest any longer."

"Hmm." The old lady of the Bo family nodded.

The third Bo brother glanced at the old lady lying on the bed and, seeing she had already closed her eyes, turned around and walked outside step by step.

As he passed through the corridor and saw Housekeeper Liu approaching, the third Bo brother smiled kindly, "Housekeeper, is A Xun adapting well since he returned ho?"

At the mont he saw the other party, Housekeeper Liu stepped aside and, upon hearing the question, replied slowly, "Just fine."

"That’s good. The boy has been away for so many years, I was worried he wouldn’t get used to being ho." The third Bo brother tried to extract so information from Housekeeper Liu but didn’t expect him to be so tight-lipped.

Housekeeper Liu just smiled, "Second Young Master grew up here, how could he not like it? You’re joking, Third Master."

Hearing this, the third Bo brother’s face gradually turned cold. However, rembering the other was soone by the old lady’s side, his expression instantly softened, "That’s right, then I’m relieved."

After saying that, the third Bo brother waved his hand and strode towards the outside.

Only after the other walked far did Housekeeper Liu raise his head. The mansion had not been quiet lately. Nurous guests ca and went, each with their own agenda, which was truly exhausting.

Since Jiang Keke took a break from school, An Yin had beco solitary at school, going everywhere alone. Although it was like this for most of the last sester too, she could still run into Jiang Keke at school.

Now, her routine involved attending classes during the day and rushing back to the dorm after spending so ti in the library at night.

This day after school, just as she was heading to the cafeteria, she received a call from Shen Jingrou, asking her out for a al. Perhaps because she wasn’t in a great mood either, she readily agreed to her request.

Shen Jingrou initially wanted to pick her up, but An Yin declined, so Shen Jingrou sent an address instead.

Looking at the address Shen Jingrou sent over, An Yin thought she must have read it wrong. She rubbed her eyes and looked carefully. It was indeed "South Lane," just a few hundred ters opposite the gate of T University.

An Yin decided to walk there.

Afraid of making Shen Jingrou wait too long, she deliberately quickened her pace and managed to arrive at the alley in about twenty minutes.

At this mont, the sky hadn’t completely darkened, and there weren’t many people on the street, as it usually only got lively at night.

The address Shen Jingrou had sent was a small restaurant, and when An Yin arrived at the entrance, she checked the na a few tis before going in.

The waiter at the door was very enthusiastic, and with his guidance, An Yin finally found the table where Shen Jingrou was sitting.

To An Yin’s surprise, Gu Qingyun was there too.

"Jingrou sister, senior!" An Yin smiled shyly at the two.

Shen Jingrou returned her smile, "Sit down, we’re all friends here, no need to be reserved."

Compared to Shen Jingrou’s ease, Gu Qingyun seed much more rigid. He looked at An Yin with a tense expression and simply said, "Junior An!"

After An Yin sat down, Shen Jingrou laughed, covering her mouth, "You both might as well just call each other by your nas instead of junior and senior. Watching your formal greetings was amusing."

After Shen Jingrou’s remark, a touch of red appeared on An Yin and Gu Qingyun’s cheeks.

In the end, Gu Qingyun was the first to speak, breaking the ice, "Alright."

An Yin also nodded.

The restaurant didn’t have private rooms; all diners ate in the hall. Small wooden tables were arranged neatly, with small tables accommodating four and large tables seating eight.

At the mont, An Yin and her companions were seated at a small table. Perhaps because they arrived early, they were placed near the window, avoiding any crowding.

During the ordering process, seeing them push the nu back and forth, Shen Jingrou took the initiative to order so dishes.

As they waited for their al, the restaurant gradually filled with more guests, mostly students. Occasionally, there were a few familiar faces, but An Yin didn’t know them, only having seen them before.

Gu Qingyun’s hands were placed under the table. With a face full of tension, he occasionally glanced in Shen Jingrou’s direction. His actions were very cautious, as if he was always paying attention to the surrounding situation, afraid of anyone catching his indiscreet glances.

Beside him, Shen Jingrou was chatting casually with An Yin.

Regarding the previous misunderstanding, Shen Jingrou dared not confess to An Yin, didn’t even have the courage to ask who An Yin had hot pot with that day. As for whether her elder brother went to Hai Di Lao to look for An Yin later, Shen Jingrou figured she might as well play dead!

This al was to make up for the guilt she felt towards An Yin on her mind, Shen Jingrou mused to herself.

"Jingrou sister, how did you two run into each other today?" An Yin asked curiously, interrupting Shen Jingrou’s reverie.

Upon hearing An Yin’s question, Gu Qingyun’s figure jolted. To cover up his inner panic, he picked up the teapot on the table and poured water for everyone.

The two girls present didn’t think much of his thoughtful gesture.

Looking at the tea Gu Qingyun handed over, Shen Jingrou offered a slight smile, "Thank you."

Gu Qingyun kept his eyes down, not daring to look at her.

At this mont, Shen Jingrou looked at An Yin, "I helped Qingyun with sothing before, and he said he wanted to thank and invited for a al."

"Oh."

"I thought since you also study around here, we could have a gathering." Shen Jingrou took a small sip from her teacup, and as she swallowed, she furrowed her brow lightly, though she covered it up well. The next second, she nonchalantly put down her cup, noticing so floating debris inside, realizing that the tea leaves were of poor quality.

Beside her, Gu Qingyun, seeing Shen Jingrou drink so tea, also picked up his cup and took a big gulp, easing so of his inner anxiety.

At this mont, the waitress ca briskly down the aisle, carrying dishes in both hands.

Their conversation was interrupted by the arrival of the food.

"The rice is over by the cashier; take however much you want. We don’t waste food here, and there’s free kelp soup over there too." The waitress glanced at the properly dressed Shen Jingrou. Usually, this place was frequented by students, regular custors, whereas the three before her seed unfamiliar, prompting her to add a few more words.

"Okay," Gu Qingyun nodded. The next second, he stood up, "You two sit down; I’ll go get the rice."

After speaking, he took the three bowls and headed towards the narrow aisle.

It was Shen Jingrou’s first ti dining at such a place, and she found it rather novel.
