Is this a girl’s bedroom?
What is the relationship between the girl living here and Bao Shaojin?
An Yin couldn’t help but let her mind wander.
She stood by the bed, looking at the brand-new interior decoration, and her heart was filled with a bittersweet feeling.
An Yin stood there dazed and in a stupor.
The hall.
The aunt stood respectfully to the side, cleaning stains on the floor. As for the stain on the sofa, the man glanced at it and simply said, "Replace it."
The aunt was shocked by his words, but considering his identity, she quickly agreed, "Okay."
"Also, brew another batch of the dicine."
The aunt hesitated to speak, but ultimately swallowed her complaints.
God knows, she had boiled that batch of dicine for six hours, and the heat couldn’t be too high. She practically stood by the stove the entire ti, occasionally stirring it.
"Then I’ll go prepare the dicine."
"Hmm."
The aunt withdrew.
The man walked over to the window, overlooking the green, clear river outside.
Just then, the phone in his pocket rang a few tis. The man leisurely took out his phone and, upon seeing the caller ID, his eyes darkened with a fierce look.
He took the call.
"Brother..." The other person called nervously. Not hearing a response, the other person continued anxiously, "Brother, are you listening?"
"No longer hiding like a coward?" Bao Shaojin sneered.
"Brother, I was wrong." Bao Cheng pleaded with a hint of desperation.
"Show up with people in front of tomorrow." Bao Shaojin’s voice was cold, with an underlying warning tone.
"Brother, Keke hasn’t been feeling well these days, she..."
Bao Cheng wanted to say more, but Bao Shaojin ruthlessly hung up.
Ever since Bao Cheng and Jiang Keke sched against the young girl, Bao Shaojin had been keeping tabs on this debt. He hadn’t sought trouble with them imdiately because he wanted them to feel fear during this period, which was undoubtedly a tornt for them.
And now, that brat Bao Cheng finally called him?
Holding the phone, he glanced at the ti.
Half an hour had passed, and the young girl hadn’t co out of the bedroom. Thinking of her usually hasty deanor, Bao Shaojin’s face darkened, and he quickly headed toward the young girl’s bedroom.
"Thump thump..."
The dull knocking interrupted An Yin’s daydreaming. She opened the door with a lost look and saw a man standing sternly at the door, his brows exuding an aura of pride.
Seeing the young girl’s deer-like bewildered eyes, Bao Shaojin couldn’t understand her confusion. His gaze fell on her still-damp pants, frowning, "Didn’t I tell you to change your clothes?"
The man’s tone was a bit heavy, and his words sounded like a reprimand.
"I don’t want to." An Yin lowered her head and squeezed out three words.
The young girl was becoming more rebellious, daring to defy him repeatedly? She was becoming quite audacious.
Seeing her timid deanor, Bao Shaojin tried to adjust his tone, "What if you catch a cold from the dampness later?"
"It’s none of your business." An Yin sulked, biting her lip as she retorted.
"An Yin, don’t take it out on ." Bao Shaojin stood in front of her, speaking with an inherent commanding presence.
"I’m not." An Yin stubbornly denied.
Just thinking about the owner of this bedroom made An Yin feel suffocated as if soone had taken her favorite toy, making her uncomfortable.
"Are you sure?" The man’s eyebrows drew together.
An Yin hesitated, stamring, "Su... sure."
"Since that’s the case, I’ll help you change myself." The man threatened, and after speaking, he took a step forward, closing the distance between them.
An Yin stepped back in fright, "You... what are you doing? Don’t co any closer..."
"Change by yourself? Or should I help you?" The man stood firm, his expression like ice, making the atmosphere frosty.
"I... I’ll do it myself." An Yin blushed with embarrassnt, looking at the man warily. Seeing him staring at her, she whispered, "You, go out."
The man stepped into the room with one foot.
Bao Shaojin gave her a deep look before retreating.
An Yin reluctantly went to the walk-in closet, found a pair of sweatpants, and paired them with a white long plush sweater.
After changing, holding her clothes, she hurriedly left the bedroom.
As she stepped out, she found the man standing in the hallway.
The young girl’s slender figure and the stunning face made her white clothes highlight her snow-like skin even more.
"Changed." An Yin murmured.
Bao Shaojin quietly observed the young girl’s resentful gaze. Was it worth getting worked up over just changing clothes? The whims of a young girl were indeed unpredictable.
"Hmm." Bao Shaojin responded and, after a mont’s pause, said, "Let’s have dinner first."
"I’ll eat at school." An Yin declined his offer.
"You’ll need to co back later to drink the dicine, so you can’t go back to school yet."
Can’t!
The man used the word "can’t," and such domineering behavior sent a chill down An Yin’s spine.
"I..."
"Let’s go."
The man didn’t give her a chance to refuse. By the ti they were both in the elevator going downstairs, An Yin was still in a daze, leaving her changed clothes at the man’s house.
Underground parking lot.
When Assistant Lin saw them appear, he swiftly got out of the car and opened the rear door.
Before getting in, An Yin stared at the brand-new car in front, completely frozen.
In the blink of an eye, another car was switched, leaving An Yin amazed at the speed and taken aback by the man’s unilateral decision-making.
The car wasn’t cheap, but in the man’s eyes, it was as if he were buying groceries. As long as he spoke, these things would be at his fingertips.
Indeed, that was the truth!
"Watch your head."
The young girl stood in front of the man. Seeing her distracted by the car, Bao Shaojin, worried she’d bump her head out of her usual daze, suddenly spoke.
"O-okay." An Yin lowered her eyes, climbed into the car feeling uneasy.
Just as the man was about to get in, the phone rang. Bao Shaojin glanced at it, closed the car door decisively, walked to the side, and then picked up the call.
An Yin saw the man close the car door. Clearly, he didn’t want her to hear the call’s content, so she lowered her head in dejection.
Assistant Lin, now in the driver’s seat, noticed Bao Shaojin was on a call and saw the silent atmosphere inside. He flashed a cheerful smile, "Miss An, the interior design of this house was done by Mr. Bao. Are you satisfied with it?"
Hearing Assistant Lin’s words, An Yin just felt it was odd.
Why ask if she was satisfied? This house wasn’t hers?
