On the way back, An Yin looked at the towering high-rise buildings and turned to glance at the man beside her, "You can just drop off at a bus stop. I want to go ho."
Bao Shaojin retracted his gaze, "Let’s go eat first."
"No need for the trouble. I’ll just grab sothing to eat later."
No matter how An Yin tried to persuade him, the man seed not to hear her at all.
An Yin was irate.
The man was too domineering and strong-willed.
Assistant Lin, almost like a tapeworm in the man’s stomach, drove directly to a private restaurant. An Yin didn’t notice that the parking lot was filled with so of the world’s top luxury cars. As soon as they got out of the car, a neatly dressed attendant ca out from inside.
"Mr. Bao!" The attendant greeted respectfully, making a gesture of invitation. Then, seemingly inadvertently, he looked behind Bao Shaojin. Upon seeing a young girl, the attendant froze for a second, then quickly regained composure and flashed a smile at the girl.
Seeing this scene, An Yin often felt quite uneasy, and after returning a smile, she sidled behind Bao Shaojin.
Bao Shaojin saw the timid look on the young girl’s face but didn’t say anything.
Under the attendant’s lead, the two walked through a quiet corridor.
This estate covers a vast area and consists of over a dozen standalone villas, known only to a select few within the circle.
Those who had dined here knew that it is rumored one of the chefs prepared food for a heavyweight figure here, and they entertained that distinguished guest in this very place.
Since then, this private restaurant beca renowned.
However, there is an unwritten rule at this restaurant: those who book a al here must reveal their identity and go through multiple screenings before they can dine here.
An Yin was unaware of all this.
She quietly watched the roadside scenery, occasionally lost in thought.
Having spent ti around Bao Shaojin, she’d witnessed so much grandeur that setting foot in so unfamiliar places didn’t surprise her as it once might have.
Following the attendant to a private room, the two sat down, and Bao Shaojin directly stated, "As usual."
The attendant nodded, "Alright, Mr. Bao."
After the attendant left, An Yin gingerly placed her hand on the dining table, looking seriously at the man, "Do you usually co here to eat?"
The young girl was overly curious.
Bao Shaojin glanced at her radiant face, his thin lips lifting slightly, "Once in a while." He was telling the truth; being widely social, he often dined at various occasions.
An Yin lowered her head, her eyelashes quivering lightly, "This place is quite expensive, right?" Every place the man took her to seed beyond her financial reach, just from imagination alone.
Seeing her deeply furrowed brows, Bao Shaojin’s obsidian eyes filled with a hint of cold arrogance, "That’s not sothing you need to worry about."
An Yin, "..."
The man’s words once again caused a turmoil in her heart.
The room stayed so silent for a long ti that one could hear a pin drop, until the attendant ca in pushing a trolley with dishes, breaking the quiet with subtle sounds.
An Yin mindlessly twirled a pair of chopsticks throughout the entire process.
"You can start eating," the attendant said and then stepped aside.
"Please leave," Bao Shaojin said in a deep voice to the attendant, knowing the young girl was uncomfortable with others present.
"Alright, Mr. Bao." The attendant exited, closing the door behind him.
An Yin’s eyes sparkled, sneaking a glance at the man.
Turns out he, like herself, didn’t like being watched while eating. An Yin mused silently.
While eating, An Yin discovered a pleasant surprise.
"Isn’t this the taste from that night?" An Yin mumbled with her mouth full of food.
Luckily, the man’s keen hearing allowed him to understand clearly what she said.
"Yes." Bao Shaojin responded with an indifferent expression.
An Yin’s hand holding the chopsticks trembled, a warm feeling passed through her heart.
Last night, she believed the man had made a al, but it turned out to be a misunderstanding. When she comnted "quite tasty," the man had replied, "I’ll take you to eat it next ti."
An Yin didn’t expect that the man would act so promptly, bringing her here just a day later.
Throughout this lunch, An Yin ate quietly, her mind spinning with thoughts.
The man’s actions gradually took over her heart, always leading her to uncontrollable imaginations.

"Jianjia Alley."
During the festivals, it’s often crowded here, fortunately, vehicles are prohibited, or it would be completely jamd.
Opposite the An Residence, a tall figure was hidden in the corner of a wall, a cigarette held between his distinct fingers, threads of smoke rising from the back of his hand, his face bearing a slightly withered expression.
His cold, deep eyes occasionally glanced towards the residence’s main gate, filled with a sense of anticipation, and confusion.
A few ters away from him stood his driver.
As lunchti passed, the assistant hesitated multiple tis and finally chose to step forward.
"Young Master ng," the driver hesitantly addressed him, mustering his courage, "Would you like to knock on the door and ask?"
Having been by ng Sihan’s side for years, the driver had so understanding of the ng Family’s matters.
After all, as long as Young Master ng is in the country, he would co to this place for a while every so often.
Despite the fact the residence housed ng’s father, he would always stand outside, which the driver couldn’t comprehend.
After finishing the last cigarette, ng Sihan concealed his lancholic gaze, took a box from his coat pocket, gently pressed the clasp, opening it to reveal the jade inside.
ng Sihan stared at the totem on the jade pendant, his gaze gradually becoming deep and distant.
After a long ti, he closed the box and handed it to the driver, "Give this to him."
Upon hearing the other man’s words, the driver instantly understood.
The "him" Young Master ng referred to was his father, ng Heming.
"Alright, Young Master ng." The driver respectfully replied, taking the box from his hand.
Watching his now empty palm, ng Sihan looked with intensity towards the nearby An Residence.
The two words above the residence felt like a sharp sword, piercing deeply into his heart.
In the next mont, he turned abruptly, quickly disappearing into the crowd.
The driver, noticing this, realized that Young Master ng was going to wait in the car for him. Looking at the box in his hands, he took a deep breath and walked towards the An Residence.
After all, it seed the people inside the residence weren’t close with Young Master ng!
Arriving at the door, the driver extended his hand to gently knock twice.
"Knock, knock..."
"Knock, knock..." Seeing no response, the driver knocked more forcefully.
"Coming." Uncle Ma, hearing the sound, hurriedly approached, afraid of disturbing soone painting in the corridor pavilion.
The heavy door was opened from the inside.
Uncle Ma, upon seeing the other man, paused montarily, forcing an awkward smile, "The young master has co?"
