"That’s the one I need to take." The elderly woman suddenly beca excited and rushed forward in search of the bus stop sign.

ng Heming, holding so items in his hand, watched the elderly woman’s shaky figure. He quickly said, "Be careful."

The elderly woman was entirely focused on catching the bus and ignored the man’s advice behind her. She even forgot to retrieve her bag.

Fortunately, the bus stop wasn’t far away. When they arrived, the bus had just co to a stop, and everyone boarded in an orderly manner. ng Heming watched the hunched figure of the elderly woman and eventually followed her onto the bus.

As the last one to get on, he headed straight toward the interior.

The driver noticed and gently reminded him, "Sir, you haven’t paid the fare yet."

ng Heming, tall and wearing a suit, looked like a man of considerable ans. After the driver spoke, most passengers glanced his way.

The elderly woman at the front was a bit hard of hearing and didn’t notice what was happening behind her. She staggered to a spot in the middle, and a seemingly young man quickly gave up a seat for her.

After hearing the driver, ng Heming frowned slightly, "How much?"

The driver looked at the dignified man before him. Just standing there, the man exuded an innate commanding presence, as if he was born to be a king, soone to be revered.

"Two yuan," the driver replied in a daze.

Hearing this, ng Heming took out a black wallet from his inner pocket and pulled out a hundred-yuan note. "Where should I put this?"

"Don’t you have any change?" the driver asked, seeing the bill in his hand.

"No."

"You can also scan with your phone," the driver suggested.

"How do I scan?" ng Heming’s face, usually cold, showed a hint of confusion.

He never used apps for paynt. All these years of wandering, he was accustod to cash.

If not for the man’s earnest deanor, the driver might have thought the man was playing a trick on him. Just as he was losing patience and about to speak, a soft and crisp voice ca from the back.

"I’ll scan it."

Soon after, they all saw a slender young girl weave through the crowd to the front, scan her phone, and pay the two yuan.

"Alright, soone has paid for you," the driver said before starting the bus.

After An Yin finished paying, she looked at the man across from her with curved eyebrows.

As their eyes t, ng Heming’s deep black eyes settled on the young girl. "We et again."

"Yes," An Yin blinked her bright star-like eyes.

It was him, the man she’d t on the bus earlier. Even though he’d removed his mask, An Yin recognized him imdiately.

She stepped back a few steps and held onto the railing.

ng Heming also moved toward the middle of the bus, stopping beside her.

At this mont, the elderly woman suddenly realized the bag in ng Heming’s hand. "I almost forgot the bag, thank you." She said, her gaze shifting between the man and the young girl, suddenly feeling that they looked so much alike, like two peas in a pod.

"You’re welco," ng Heming said as he handed the items back to the elderly woman.

They were quite close to the elderly woman’s seat.

Seeing her staring at him, ng Heming asked puzzledly, "Is sothing the matter?"

The elderly woman smiled, "You’re truly blessed." She sighed, admiring the beautiful young girl, thinking to herself.

ng Heming thought the elderly woman was rambling again and replied with a calm, perfunctory "Hmm."

At the next stop, a crowd of people rushed in, making the bus slightly crowded.

An Yin’s suitcase was by her feet, and she held tightly to the handle to prevent it from sliding and hitting soone.

ng Heming’s gaze involuntarily fell on her. Watching as people approached the young girl, he moved his feet, and his tall figure shielded her beside the seat.

The scent of pine wafted through An Yin’s nose. Despite her timid nature, she felt secure rather than frightened by his proximity.

The two remained silent throughout the journey.

When the bus’s voice prompt sounded in advance, An Yin looked up at the man. "My stop is here."

As she spoke, the two bus doors simultaneously opened.

An Yin, carrying her heavy luggage, was about to walk out when a careless young man jostled her aside. To keep her balance, her hands instinctively grasped the railing, and her suitcase, which she had held in her hand, toppled toward ng Heming...

In the next second, he quickly caught it.

The young man who had bumped into An Yin turned back and caught sight of a pair of brooding eyes, which scared him into quickly averting his gaze and fleeing.

ng Heming watched the young man’s retreating figure and hid his displeasure. He looked at the frail young girl before him. "Let’s go; I’ll carry your luggage."

"Are you getting off too?" An Yin asked, surprised.

"Yes."

An Yin walked ahead, and ng Heming followed closely with the suitcase. Even though the young girl wore a mask, everyone around was captivated by their outstanding aura at that mont.

As they disembarked, the elderly woman continued to watch them through the bus window, murmuring, "Such good people, father and daughter. Good people will surely be rewarded!" She prided herself on her sharp intuition.

On the sidewalk, by the grass.

ng Heming stood quietly with the suitcase.

When An Yin looked up at him, her gaze was startled, as if she’d seen him sowhere before.

Her eyes were clear as she studied him closely, prompting ng Heming to ask perplexedly, "Why are you looking at like that?"

An Yin didn’t shy away from his gaze and replied honestly, "I feel like I’ve seen you sowhere before?"

If this line were spoken by a young couple, it might raise suspicion of flirting intentions.

But coming from the young girl’s mouth, with her pure and transparent eyes full of innocence, ng Heming, seasoned in the business world, felt confident in discerning her sincerity.

"I have that feeling too."

ng Heming’s expression was inscrutable, leaving the truth of his words ambiguous.

An Yin chuckled softly at his words, her voice ringing like a lodious bell.

"Hehe..."

She was serious, yet it seed he thought she was joking.

An Yin didn’t expect him to be so humorous.

"Thank you for carrying my luggage."

"You paid for my bus fare," ng Heming remarked, setting the suitcase down next to her.

Recalling his behavior on the bus, An Yin couldn’t help but smile more, "Was that your first ti taking the bus?"

"Yes," ng Heming replied in a low voice.

"Next ti, you should take a taxi."

"Why?"

"You seem like you don’t bother with mundane things..." An Yin mused, muttering, "A tycoon."

ng Heming’s eyes were like deep lakes, mysterious and somber.
