ng Sihan saw the little girl being quite honest; he took a deep drag of his cigarette and didn’t exhale for a long ti.
The two of them sat in silence for a while. A hint of loneliness flitted across his eyes, and his voice was slightly ethereal. "Do you have parents?"
The man’s words were utterly absurd.
Even upon hearing them, it gave one an offended feeling.
An Yin felt a bit uncomfortable inside and was about to rebuke when she saw the man looking up, his eyes puzzled, staring at the sky filled with dark clouds.
A thought crossed her mind; maybe the man’s question wasn’t ant with malice.
After contemplating for a mont, An Yin hesitated before speaking, "I only have my mom!"
The little girl’s voice was like a gentle stream, soothing to the soul.
ng Sihan could hear the sadness in her tone as she said this. He lowered his gaze and calmly asked, "Is your mom good to you?"
An Yin was surprised by his words for a mont. A sweet smile instantly spread across her face, "She’s super good to !"
Her smug deanor made ng Sihan forget to look away, and his expression gradually softened. "How so?"
He stood there, alone by the roadside, his voice carrying a hint of longing.
Although An Yin was curious, she didn’t think too much about it and began to think about Ms. An’s virtues, "Every ti I go ho, she cooks my favorite dishes."
"She also buys pretty clothes..."
"Buys snacks..."
"..."
ng Sihan’s lips were tightly pressed together, his whole being exuding loneliness and emptiness. He stared at the little girl’s proud face as she chirped on about her mother’s kindness.
ng Sihan listened quietly.
Perhaps getting tired from talking and feeling a bit thirsty, An Yin swallowed a mouthful of saliva and continued, "And also..."
"Enough." ng Sihan’s tone carried a trace of cool indifference.
An Yin, in high spirits, was interrupted by the man’s words.
She stood properly, intending to see what the man would do next.
The cold wind slipped into An Yin’s neckline, causing her to inhale sharply. In this winter weather, her work uniform was very thin, and her calves were exposed; An Yin felt as though her calves were already frozen.
ng Sihan noticed the little girl’s red nose and how she occasionally curled up her small fra. For a rare mont, a gentle light appeared in his eyes. In the next second, he took off his jacket, and before An Yin could react, the large, warm suit was draped over her thin back.
Warmth flowed over her, and An Yin stamred at the man, "This is your jacket, I don’t..."
An Yin reached out to pull the man’s suit off, but upon eting his warning gaze, she stopped her actions and murmured, "Thank you!"
Now he wore only a white shirt, light and form-fitting, the draping fabric outlining his strong lines, making him appear cultured and elegant, tall and graceful.
An Yin carefully sized him up, her curiosity all too evident on her face.
ng Sihan saw her innocent gaze, devoid of any greed, and for once, felt inclined to say, "Is there anything you’d like to ask ?"
Hoo hoo...
An Yin’s heart tightened, feeling as though the man could guess what she was thinking. Overcoming her inner fear, she timidly voiced her doubts, "Why did you ask that question?"
An Yin didn’t spell it out, but she assud the man understood.
An air of lancholy could not be concealed in ng Sihan’s dark eyes. Perhaps the harmless and naive appearance of the little girl made him drop his guard for once, and he openly said, "Perhaps I wanted to know what it feels like to be loved by parents from soone else."
At this mont, his cool eyes were as deep as an icy pond, carrying an unfathomable distance.
After the man finished speaking, An Yin began to think, eventually drawing a conclusion.
Could it be that the man wasn’t loved by his parents? So, is he an orphan?
In the blink of an eye, she looked at the man with a gaze full of pity.
Seeing the sympathy in her eyes, ng Sihan’s bitterness disappeared. A girl working at a bar was actually showing him sympathy?
Just then, a young gentleman ran out from "Night Charm" and hurriedly approached them after spotting the person by the roadside.
"Brother ng, you’ve been smoking that cigarette for quite a while!" As he spoke, the young gentleman cast a mischievous smile in An Yin’s direction. When he saw the girl wearing Brother ng’s jacket, the way he looked at An Yin changed.
Heh heh, Brother ng complained about the box being too noisy, ca out for a smoke, and ended up chatting passionately with the little beauty from earlier!
"Enjoy yourselves." ng Sihan spoke up.
Those familiar with him knew this ant he was about to leave.
Hearing this, the young gentleman, intending to exchange a few pleasantries, instead noticed ng Sihan’s aloof face and said with a smile, "Then Brother ng, let’s et up next ti!"
"Yeah." ng Sihan replied with an indifferent hum, his attitude extrely perfunctory.
The young gentleman glanced at An Yin as he left.
An Yin quickly lowered her head, her eyelashes gently trembling, reflecting her anxious heart.
"You can leave now!"
The little girl wasn’t very tall, not even reaching his shoulder. She stood with her head lowered, her black hair tied into a ponytail, making her appear neat and adding a bit of youthful innocence.
The man’s voice ca from above her head, and An Yin slowly looked up to et his gaze.
"So, I’m leaving?" An Yin confird once more.
ng Sihan turned his cold eyes lightly, the girl’s beautiful eyes like lively autumn water, sparkling like the stars, making her entire face appear so delicate and charming.
"What’s your na?" It was the first ti he had proactively asked a girl for her na.
"An, An Yin!"
She blinked her eyes, her pale and thin face reflecting a few sincere glimrs because just a mont ago, An Yin had already categorized the man as having the identity of an "orphan," causing her to feel a complex sense of closeness to him.
The faint hint of pity in the little girl’s eyes was caught by ng Sihan, but he offered no explanation. After all, they would likely never et again.
Under the night sky, he turned to leave.
"Wait a mont." Seeing him about to step away, An Yin quickly moved forward and stood before him, pulling off the jacket. "Here’s your jacket back."
As she spoke, her sowhat reddened lips, as luscious as flower petals, shimred with an alluring gloss.
ng Sihan’s dark eyes flickered as he reached out to take it.
"Anything else?" The jacket was draped over his wrist, still holding so warmth. Not just that, but there was a light fragrance lingering in the air, which was quite pleasant. Evidently, in just a short while, his jacket had absorbed the girl’s scent.
"What’s your na? Of course, you don’t have to tell if you don’t want to." An Yin tensed up completely and asked softly.
"ng Sihan."
Upon saying that, he turned around and left resolutely.
He hadn’t gone far when An Yin saw a burly man co over to him, seeming very respectful...
An Yin withdrew her gaze and whispered, "ng Sihan..."
