"Brother ng, such a beauty, we..." One of the young n was about to say sothing nice for the little girl, but before he could finish, he caught a pair of warning eyes and hurriedly shut his mouth.
After that, no one dared to speak rashly, after all, the man in front of them was the only son of the ng family’s president; no one present could afford to offend him.
The corridor was not large, and the gathering crowd soon attracted the staff’s attention.
Wen i appeared with a flattering shallow smile on her face as she approached the crowd.
"Young Master ng, I’m sorry, this employee of ours is new and doesn’t quite understand the rules!" Wen i said, giving An Yin a look.
The pain in An Yin’s abdon had subsided significantly, but her foot was still a bit numb. She slowly held onto the man’s coat to prevent herself from falling, using the grip to straighten herself.
Under everyone’s watchful eyes, she shuffled over to Wen i’s side, like a child who had done sothing wrong, with her head bowed low, too frightened to speak.
ng Sihan was tall and straight-backed, his black eyes flickering with a ghostly light behind his hair, and the little girl’s timid deanor fell completely into his peripheral vision.
Wen i stood respectfully, not daring to leave as the leading man remained silent.
At this mont, one of the n ca over to Wen i, putting his hand casually on her waist, with a teasing tone in his voice, "No need for Brother ng to bother with a little girl, especially since you’re protecting her. We have to give you so face, right?" His eyes brazenly fell on Wen i’s graceful figure, and the hand on her waist moved ever so gradually.
Faced with such a scene, everyone was used to it, and no one stepped out to stop him.
When An Yin secretly raised her head, she saw the man’s hand resting on Wen i’s waist, then slowly moving downward. The man’s actions were slow, and at this mont, An Yin’s mind buzzed; she couldn’t even focus on what they were discussing.
An Yin knew that Sister i was trying to help her out, but this man was too shaless, wanting to take advantage of Sister i.
The man’s hand went further down, to Sister i’s...
Not knowing where she got the courage, An Yin raised her hand and slapped the back of the man’s hand hard.
"Slap..."
Despite the burst of pain at her fingertips, An Yin didn’t care. She lifted her head and glared at the man bullying Sister i, her face showing a hint of stubbornness, "Don’t bully people!"
Her voice was clear and crisp.
ng Sihan glanced at the little girl, looking childish yet working in such a mixed-up place.
As he pondered, laughter erupted from the crowd.
"Haha..."
"The little girl is quite interesting..."
"Heh heh..."
The young man who got slapped didn’t seem angry at all. He turned around to seriously scrutinize An Yin, a complex look in his eyes.
Wen i didn’t expect An Yin to be so daring; indeed, the newborn calf is not afraid of the tiger. Without even finding out the person’s background, she dared to offend him? However, seeing that the custor didn’t seem angry, Wen i heaved a sigh of relief and then greeted everyone, "Everyone, please follow to the private room. As for this new employee, I will surely teach her well in the future."
As Wen i finished speaking, everyone’s eyes fell on ng Sihan.
As he started to move, everyone followed suit.
Wen i walked ahead, leading them away.
An Yin leaned against the wall in panic, waiting until they were out of sight, then quickly ran towards the break room.
Reaching the break room, she sat on the sofa, her mind replaying the scene just now, the man’s hand audaciously resting on Sister i, yet Sister i did not resist...
When she joined the bar, An Yin had thought of so unpleasant scenes, but when such things occurred right in front of her, she couldn’t help but shiver.
While she was lost in thought, a familiar sensation hit her.
She quickly ran to the bathroom; sure enough, her period had co.
When she went back to her post, half an hour had already passed.
An Yin unexpectedly saw a familiar figure; Wen i was waiting at the private room’s door.
"Not feeling well?" Wen i casually asked, noticing the little girl’s pale face.
"Hmm." An Yin lowered her head in sha; it was now working hours, and she couldn’t justify hiding in the break room for so long.
"Feeling better?" Wen i continued to ask.
"Much better." An Yin feigned calmness.
The little girl’s forced deanor reminded Wen i of the scene earlier. Unable to even protect herself and yet trying to help her, Wen i sighed helplessly, her voice carrying an instructive tone, "Never hit a custor again in the future."
"But those people are too..." An Yin was about to retort when she noticed Wen i frowning at her, and she fell silent.
"I didn’t mind, what are you acting out for?" Wen i’s voice suddenly turned cold, without the previous charm.
Shi Qing stood expressionless, her attitude completely detached from their discussion. Having worked part-ti at "Night Charm" for years, just from their brief exchange, Shi Qing could guess what had transpired.
Even though An Yin was unwilling, with Wen i speaking this way, no matter how wronged she felt, she could only endure it.
Seeing the little girl silent, and not feeling an ounce of wrongdoing on her exquisite face, Wen i continued to explain, "Those are people we can’t afford to provoke. Today you’re lucky they didn’t care, but if one day you offend soone formidable, I won’t be able to save you either."
"Do you know what fate would await you if you fell into their hands?" Wen i approached, leaned down, and whispered in An Yin’s ear.
The breath from her words lingered by An Yin’s ear, chilling her to the core, and she dared not move.
The aning behind Wen i’s words wasn’t hard to understand.
Without waiting for An Yin to recover, Wen i straightened up, then instructed Shi Qing standing by, "Shi Qing, keep an eye on her!"
"Alright!" Shi Qing replied.
Seeing the little girl’s frightened state, Wen i wanted to pat her on the shoulder, but as soon as her hand touched the girl’s shoulder, she jumped up in fright.
"Ah..."
An Yin turned her head to find it was Wen i, and awkwardly stood back against the wall.
Wen i exhaled deeply, shook her head helplessly, and left in her high heels.
This jumpy deanor of the little girl showed how unsuited she was for this job; she should have been soone’s cherished treasure, well-protected at ho! Wen i thought inwardly.
After Wen i’s figure completely disappeared down the corridor, Shi Qing turned her gaze to An Yin and noticed the redness in her eyes.
"What she said was for your own good, don’t take it to heart." Shi Qing, not skilled at comforting people, spoke matter-of-factly.
