"Shaojin-ge, what are my test results?" An Yin looked terrified.

"Gastroenteritis," Bao Shaojin replied wearily.

"Oh." Hearing it was just gastroenteritis, An Yin breathed a sigh of relief. "Then after the IV, I want to be discharged."

Bao Shaojin said in a deep voice, "You want to go to class in your current state?" So frail, a strong wind could knock her over.

"I want to be discharged," An Yin insisted.

Staying in a high-class ward made her feel completely uneasy, An Yin grumbled to herself.

"No." Bao Shaojin refused decisively.

"I’ve had this illness before, after the IV and so dicine, I’ll be fine. There’s no need to make a big deal out of it." The more An Yin spoke, the quieter her voice beca, buzzing like a mosquito.

"Making a big deal out of it?" Bao Shaojin narrowed his eyes slightly.

"It’s just a minor illness, it doesn’t need to be..." At that mont, An Yin only thought about being discharged early to save money, completely unaware her words were misunderstood by the man.

"An Yin," Bao Shaojin stood firm, his words sharp and cold.

An Yin was stunned, the man in front of her rarely called her by her na.

The next second, she heard him say coldly, "It seems your previous pain wasn’t severe enough."

The veins on Bao Shaojin’s hand bulged, his usually calm and composed face turned gloomy.

The girl, sweating profusely in pain while asking for help, couldn’t even speak properly. Now she had finally recovered sowhat, and all she talked about was being discharged, even calling him overreacting!

Previously, he thought of her as an ungrateful person, and indeed he wasn’t wrong!

The words he just blurted out left An Yin’s mind montarily blank, taking a long ti to grasp what he ant.

He was mocking her! Did he think her previously agonizing appearance wasn’t miserable enough?

At once, An Yin, unsure where her courage ca from, retorted without thinking, "None of your business..."

After she said it, the spacious room fell into a long silence, where even their slight breathing sounds could be heard.

After saying those four words, An Yin regretted it. The man had brought her to the hospital in the middle of the night, yet not only did she not appreciate it, she even blad him. Reflecting on this, she awkwardly opened her mouth to apologize, but the other party beat her to it.

"Very well!" Bao Shaojin’s gaze was heavy, his tone displeased as he uttered two words, then turned and left.

His footsteps receded until the sound of a door closing, leaving An Yin’s heart heavy, as if weighed down by a stone, uncomfortable and oppressive.

Soon, Assistant Lin ca rushing over.

Seeing him, the first thing An Yin asked was, "Can I be discharged now?"

Assistant Lin recalled the instruction from Bao President earlier, forcing a gentle smile, "Bao President said, if you want to be discharged, after the IV is finished, you can take the dication prescribed by the doctor, and I’ll take you ho."

Assistant Lin instructed outside with the nurse about hiring care, and when he finished, he encountered Bao President in the corridor, whose face was terribly gloomy, exuding chilliness that even Arctic glaciers would find unmatched.

Thinking back, Assistant Lin couldn’t help but shiver. He wasn’t clear on what had happened between Bao President and Miss An, but the one thing he was sure of was that Bao President’s anger was definitely related to Miss An.

For years at Bao President’s side, the only person who could affect Bao President’s mood up till now was Miss An.

"Alright, thank you." An Yin lowered her eyes, then said leisurely, "Could you trouble you to tell Shaojin-ge ’thank you’ for ."

"Miss An, it’s better if you personally thank Bao President." Assistant Lin hurriedly said.

Assistant Lin could already foresee that he will lead a tough life as long as Bao President’s anger doesn’t subside!

The only person who could extinguish this fire was Miss An, so he definitely couldn’t be the ssenger!

An Yin didn’t want to force others either, "Alright."

After bidding goodbye to An Yin, Assistant Lin went out to handle her discharge.

At the sa ti, a nurse entered An Yin’s ward to monitor her IV treatnt.

After about half an hour, Assistant Lin brought a bag and placed it beside the bed, explaining, "These are personal items Miss An left with Bao President, sent here on his orders."

"Alright." An Yin glanced at the white handbag, guessing it contained her coat, phone, and other such items...

The IV drip was slow; only after an hour did the nurse remove the needle.

The discharge process went smoothly.

On the way back to T University, An Yin stared blankly outside the car window at the fleeting scenery, her mind repeatedly recalling the man’s parting words.

What did he an by "very well"?

In the end, An Yin realized she couldn’t fathom his thoughts at all.

If that’s the case, then she shouldn’t bother herself with it.

At that mont, An Yin thought of another matter, "Assistant Lin, could you tell how much the hospital expense was this ti?"

An Yin’s eyes fell on the driver’s seat, nervously awaiting his response.

Assistant Lin’s eyes shifted slightly, "I’m not entirely sure."

Having been at Bao President’s side for so many years, Assistant Lin managed these things quite appropriately.

"Oh." An Yin looked entirely disappointed, not thinking much further.

Assistant Lin didn’t ask her and just stopped at the corner by the school, then got off to open the car door for her.

Seeing his warm gesture, An Yin murmured, "Thank you."

Assistant Lin also handed her the dicine.

An Yin took the dicine and turned to walk toward the school.

Having completed his task, Assistant Lin got back into the car. The phone in the car rang, and upon seeing the na on the screen, Assistant Lin’s heart trembled, he answered, "President Bao!"

"Arrived?"

Hearing those simple two words, Assistant Lin instantly responded, "I’ve already dropped Miss An at the school entrance, the dication was also handed over."

After saying this, Assistant Lin silently awaited Bao President’s instructions, each second was torturous.

Afraid of missing a word, Assistant Lin pressed the phone close to his ear.

Waiting, waiting, Assistant Lin brought the phone in front of him, seeing "in call" displaying, wondering why Bao President wasn’t speaking at all? Or had Bao President forgotten to hang up?

While Assistant Lin was contemplating, "call ended" finally appeared on the screen.

Assistant Lin pondered that perhaps Bao President didn’t hang up earlier because he was waiting for him to say sothing.

Applying the sa focus he’d used when taking college entrance exams, Assistant Lin finally reached a conclusion.

Bao President was waiting for him to pass along a ssage! Perhaps in Bao President’s mind, he thought Miss An had sothing to convey through him...

Oh dear, his brain.

Didn’t Miss An want him to say "thank you" to Bao President earlier? He even suggested she personally thank Bao President.

How about calling Bao President to pass the ssage?

With an excited heart, Assistant Lin dialed again, and as soon as it rang once, it was picked up.

Assistant Lin hastened to speak, "President Bao, Miss An asked to tell you sothing just now."

"What?" A thick voice ca through the phone, tinged with fatigue.

"Miss An said, ’thank you!’"

As soon as Assistant Lin said those three words, he heard a busy tone; the phone was abruptly hung up, leaving him completely baffled by Bao President’s reaction.
