Chapter 90: I’m Fine. My Brain Will Be Smarter With A Little Burn
Upon noticing that Mu Siyin’s face had paled, Ji Yang imdiately blocked her view of her pierced wrist. At the sa ti, Ji Yang held her other hand and comforted her softly. “It’s done. The needle is in.”
Mu Siyin heaved a sigh of relief and blinked her eyes before she cald down.
Mu Siyin believed that Mu Xingyu stabbing her in her past life had left a psychological trauma in her. She must get rid of this feeling soon.
She hated how afraid she had beco!
“Is it really done, Yangyang?”
The nurse stood up and said, “It’s fine now. This hand must remain still at all tis. Don’t move it if it’s unnecessary, and call for us if you’ve run out of your dications.”
Ji Yang turned around to look at the nurse and said, “Alright. Thank you!”
“No problem. She seems pretty shook up about the injection. You should pour her a cup of water.”
“Okay. Sure!”
Ji Yang walked over to pour Mu Siyin a cup of water. When the doctor nearby noticed that Mu Siyin’s complexion was looking better, he said, “Isn’t it painless, young lady? An injection is not as scary as you think.”
Mu Siyin frowned. “You liar. It hurt like hell.”
The doctor was speechless.
Once Ji Yang was back with a cup of water and saw that the doctor was still around, she said with a frown, “Oh yeah, doctor. After you gave your prescription list yesterday, I went directly to the pharmacy and handed it over to them. Did the pharmacy ss it up?”
Mu Siyin batted her eyelid in guilt and used her good hand to receive the cup of water from Ji Yang. Then, she lowered her head as she drank the water silently.
After listening to what Ji Yang had said, the doctor also frowned. “The pharmacists are all very cautious and will double-check the prescription list before they hand it over to the patient. They rarely miss out on the prescription. Perhaps… you dropped it when you were carrying your friend to the ward. This is more common than you think.”
Ji Yang furrowed her brows at the doctor’s explanation and nodded her head slightly.
As she was a detective, the doctor’s explanation made sense.
Ji Yang did indeed pick up the pills and carry Mu Siyin to the ward in a rush. Since it was quite a distance to the ward, she might have dropped the pills on the way there.
It was, in fact, rather rare for the pharmacy to miss out on a certain dication.
Moreover, the missing pills were fever reducers and anti-inflammation pills. These were the most important pills.
She believed that the hospital would not make such a frivolous error.
“Yeah. Anyway, it’s a good thing that we found this out in ti. I’m pretty sure sothing serious would happen to her if her fever continues.”
The doctor said responsibly, “Don’t worry about it. I’ll head over to the pharmacy and find out who was in charge of yesterday’s shift. If it’s really the hospital’s negligence, I’ll reprimand them to prevent sothing like this from happening again.”
“You’re right. No matter who was in the wrong, we should prevent this situation from happening again.”
After the doctor and nurse left, Mu Siyin finally looked up at Ji Yang, to which she laughed dryly. “You’re aweso, Yangyang. It’s just two missing pills, but you managed to put your sleuthing skills to justice.”
Ji Yang glanced at Mu Siyin. “I can’t believe you still have the strength to flatter . I guess you’re not feeling as terrible anymore.”
Mu Siyin pulled a long face when she heard this. “No… I really do feel terrible.”
Ji Yang sighed gently and frowned. She was obviously still bothered about the missing pills. “I might have dropped them yesterday. I’m really sorry for making you suffer the entire night.”
Mu Siyin imdiately shook her head. “It’s no biggie! I’ll be fine. I’ll be smarter after a little burn.”
Ji Yang said, “Did you burn away your intelligence, Yinyin?”
Mu Siyin was at a loss for words.
It took half an hour before Mu Siyin’s body temperature finally dropped. Ji Yang raised her hand to touch Mu Siyin’s head and took a sigh of relief. “Thank god. The fever is gone now.”
