Chapter 46: Ganging Up To Test Her
Mu Siyin closed the door, speechless and annoyed.
Could she not get a good sleep?
How annoying!
She quickly washed up and headed downstairs. Sure enough, the entire family was waiting for her at the dining table.
The sight of it shocked her.
In the past, no one cared if she slept until late noon. They even criticized her all day long, so what was going on today?
“Hurry up, Yinyin. We’re all waiting for you.” Mu Heyuan gestured her over to take the seat across from him.
Mu Siyin raised an eyebrow and recalled her conversation with Mu Heyuan yesterday night. She imdiately understood what the occasion was for.
As such, she walked over to take her seat. She sighed, “What a day to rember. I never thought that all of you would wait for to have breakfast together.”
While Mu Heyuan and Old Madam Mu remained calm, Li Tongzhi and Mu Xingyu’s expressions darkened.
Old Madam Mu instinctively laughed. “We didn’t want to wake you from your beauty sleep. After all, didn’t your dad say that we’ll be eting the Lu family today? We can have breakfast and head out together.”
Mu Siyin frowned when she heard this. “But I haven’t called my cousin. I’m not even sure if they want to et you or not.”
Old Madam Mu’s face stiffened as Li Tongzhi interrupted, “What your dad ant is that you should call them up now.”
Mu Siyin finally understood what was going on. They were obviously ganging up to test her. They probably thought that she was lying about her relationship with the Lu family.
Mu Xingyu chid in to ridicule her. “Are you chickening out, Yinyin?”
Mu Siyin gave a cold jeer as she eyed everyone around her. After she took her phone out, she dialed Lu Jingchen’s number and turned on her loudspeaker.
Upon realizing that she was not lying, Li Tongzhi and Mu Xingyu’s face took on a ghastly expression.
Did Mu Siyin really manage to get the Lu family’s help?
To be honest, Mu Siyin was a little nervous. However, she knew she had to put up an act, or they would think that she was lying.
The dial tone rang twice before the call got through. Lu Jingchen was having his breakfast as well, and he said in a nasal tone, “It’s too early for a call, Yinyin.”
Yinyin chuckled and replied, “I know. My father wants to personally et with my uncle and aunty to talk about the investnt in Mu Corporation. He wants to ask if they’re free to et today.”
Lu Jingchen was caught by surprise, but it did not take him long to understand what she was implying.
He pretended to be mad and threw the spoon down with a ‘smack’. He then said, “The only reason we agreed to invest in Mu Corporation was because of you. We won’t et anyone else!”
Upon hearing this, Old Madam Mu and Mu Heyuan sighed in relief.
Mu Siyin let out a soft chuckle. “Sure, sure. I get what you an.”
“Good. I’m having my breakfast now, so we should talk about it later on.”
“Yes. I’m fine with it.”
As soon as the call ended, Mu Siyin looked at the others in disdain.
Li Tongzhi and Mu Xingyu had nothing to say as they lowered their heads in defeat. However, Mu Heyuan laughed. “Great job, Yinyin. Who knew you had what it takes to convince the Lu family.”
Mu Siyin raised an eyebrow. “So when are you planning to transfer the shares?”
Li Tongzhi’s blood boiled at those words. After all, she had spent a lot of effort in obtaining the shares.
Mu Heyuan said, “Don’t worry about it. I’ll get a lawyer to draft an agreent as soon as I get to the company.
