Chapter 564: Chapter 425: Hoarding Thousands upon Thousands for Natural Disasters, Raising a Child, I Let It Go 13_2
Indeed, her habit of ddling in other’s business hadn’t changed.
When she ca downstairs at night, she initially thought Wen Qingyu had already gone to sleep, but when she saw him still sitting on the sofa, Su Zhiruan felt a stir in her heart and walked over to sit next to him.
Seeing her co down, Wen Qingyu’s eyebrows and eyes softened imdiately.
“It’s very late,” he said, then seed to hesitate for a mont before looking at her, “I saw what you wrote.”
“So, did you know sothing from the beginning?” Wen Qingyu saw she looked very tired, so he opened a bottle of fruit tea from beneath the coffee table and handed it to Su Zhiruan, “Is my question a bit presumptuous? If you’re tired, you should rest.”
“Not presumptuous,” Su Zhiruan said.
“If I say I know what disasters are coming next, would you believe ?” Su Zhiruan was indeed tired. Since soone had attempted to break in that morning, she had been in the study, ticulously recording the timing and scope of various disasters and major events based on the plot. She hadn’t found much useful stuff from the original owner’s mory, but she did uncover quite a bit of useful information from the system-provided background data. Now Wen Qingyu and she were in the sa boat. Although she couldn’t let him know too many details, such as about the system, she could paraphrase it in a different way.
“I believe you,” Wen Qingyu nodded without hesitation, his gaze firm, “you can trust .”
“Do whatever you want to do, I will be with you through everything,” Wen Qingyu said softly.
She tightened the cap of the fruit tea.
In the darkness, she gently leaned her head on his shoulder.
“Let lean on you for a while…”
“Okay.”
The two of them sat close together in the dark.
The air was quiet.
Su Zhiruan decided she still needed to explain everything to him.
“What I am about to say is true, though it may sound absurd,” Su Zhiruan sat up, handing him the paper.
“After this year’s blizzard ends, around April next year, the temperature will rise, which will lead to thick fog. After the fog, there will be a heatwave, which will trigger a virus, and the death toll will surge.”
“Then, there will be continuous rainstorms, followed by more blizzards,” Su Zhiruan briefly explained the news she knew from the original plot, and on paper, she also detailed the approximate tilines of various natural disasters.
Wen Qingyu turned on the light and listened to her while looking at the handwritten content on her paper.
Su Zhiruan’s handwriting was tiny, but she had densely filled 10 A4 pages with various tis, locations, and several other crucial pieces of information.
“Is all this true?” Wen Qingyu was surprised; he had not expected it to be so detailed, statistically very accurate, almost as if she had experienced it herself.
Given that he was a son of this dinsion, Su Zhiruan nodded, concocted a sowhat plausible reason to bluff him, “Actually, this is my second life; I am a reborn person.”
Wen Qingyu digested this for a while and nodded, apparently believing her.
They chatted casually about so other things. Wen Qingyu checked the ti on his phone; it was already early morning.
“I’ll cook sothing for you,” he said as he stood up and turned on the kitchen lights.
Su Zhiruan didn’t refuse. She lay on the sofa and turned on the Su Family’s surveillance on her phone.
The Su Family seed quite lively today. Su Zhiruan casually slid the progress bar and saw the Su Family crying and fussing loudly. She slid forward a bit more.
Su Father, because there was no food left at ho, beca very irritable. He and Su Yaozu had searched the entire house and found nothing more to eat, which infuriated them. In the end, Su Father even considered sending Su Mother out to find food.
Su Mother was unwilling to go. Usually, she was just a typical housewife, and going out in such frigid blizzard conditions to find food was akin to a death sentence.
But she was usually subservient at ho, aside from being able to make trouble for Su Zhiruan, everyone else treated her like an ancestor.
As a result, the situation escalated to a quarrel. She was accustod to being bullied, so when the family thought of sending soone out to find food, they first thought of Su Mother.
Su Yaozu even burst out, “Mom, if you don’t go, should Dad and I go? What about Su Mingzhu; what if we get out and are killed!”
