Lian Hua had no idea what Cao De was thinking. She was holding a grey hawk in her arms, warr than carrying a heater, with her cheeks flushed with excitent. It was the perfect mont, and she didn’t feel the hawk was heavy at all. Besides, she was quite strong, and holding her beloved hawk was effortless.

She cheerfully reminisced with Xiao Jizi and the others about the earlier scene: "...Xiao Kunzi was really impressive, descending with his Flying Divine Kick, smacking that fake tough guy to the ground looking for his teeth, and then doing a spinning aerial twist, kicking that stone-faced attacker flying, haha..."

The fake tough guy referred to Ye Ying, and the stone-faced attacker referred to Master Wu.

The grey hawk in her arms was very docile, tucked its claws in, rested its head on her arm, allowing her to hug and hold it. Occasionally, she would scratch its neck along its feathers, and the hawk would enjoy it, squinting its eyes.

Xiao Kunzi followed behind, sowhat embarrassed, saying: "My lady overpraises . It was the Shadow Guard brothers who were impressive; I rely helped out."

This experience gave Xiao Kunzi a different feeling, completely breaking his impression of Lian Hua. He thought privately that one shouldn’t judge a person by their appearance; beneath her innocent and charming face lay a brave heart, especially her way of avenging grievances on the spot, which was imnsely satisfying.

She was neither overly rciful nor pretentious, and this ti Xiao Kunzi was able to unleash his fists and feet freely, feeling genuinely happy, and feeling it was quite fun and good to follow Lian Hua.

Xiao Jizi, carrying an old eunuch on his back, laughed on the side: "Xiao Kunzi, don’t be modest. You’re just as impressive as the Shadow Guard brothers. You should earn a major credit. Thanks to all of you, these villains were subdued without escape."

Lian Hua kept nodding, rubbed the hawk’s feathers, and said: "That’s true, that’s true, Xiao Jizi’s right. You’re all brave. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a fight, and it was really well done—two words, thrilling!"

Xiao Qing, carrying a hand warr, and Xiao Linzi, holding a food box, chid in agreent nearby. The group praised endlessly.

After praising Xiao Kunzi and the Shadow Guards, Xiao Jizi swayed the old eunuch on his back and cleared his throat, asking: "Um, my lady, how did I perform just now?"

Lian Hua freed one hand, giving a thumbs up: "Very brave. If you hadn’t taken the lead, Xiao Kunzi and the others wouldn’t have succeeded in one strike."

Xiao Jizi imdiately burst into laughter.

The group chatted and laughed as they walked outside the Imperial Animal Garden.

Lian Hua still didn’t know that the Emperor, Nanny Qi, and Consort Xu De were in a panic. When she heard the beast roars, she and Xiao Jizi realized Xiao Linzi was in danger. They saw the grey hawk pleading for help overhead, and in that instant, Lian Hua was in a ntal dilemma.

She was a person loyal to her friends, and couldn’t abandon Xiao Linzi. But the Shadow Guards were sent by the Emperor to protect her, and she couldn’t command them to save Xiao Linzi. When she was anxious, she glimpsed the five Shadow Guards.

With a stroke of inspiration, she suddenly understood what she had vaguely sensed before. She grasped the key point and asked: "His Majesty anticipated sothing happening, so he arranged for you to protect in advance, right?"

The five Shadow Guards looked expressionless, not speaking.

But Lian Hua was already fully convinced—it was exactly as she thought. If the Emperor knew sothing was going to happen, he surely would have made thorough arrangents, and there definitely wouldn’t be any problems.

These thoughts flashed through her mind, and Lian Hua made a quick decision. She would lead people to find Xiao Linzi and follow the grey hawk to save people!

So she ordered one of the Shadow Guards to go to the Star Palace and inform the Emperor about her decision and the incident in the Imperial Garden. At first, the Shadow Guard refused.

Lian Hua said sternly: "His Majesty sent you to protect , but I need to rescue soone now. If you all follow without informing His Majesty of my whereabouts, who would respond if sothing happens? Besides, if the thief is truly that capable, what’s the difference between having one more or one less person?"

Her words made the five Shadow Guards exchange glances. Eventually, one of them left for the Star Palace. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, he missed eting the Emperor, failing to convey Lian Hua’s words, leading to what happened afterward.

Later, Lian Hua led people toward the Imperial Garden, following Xiao Linzi’s tracks, while the grey hawk flew deeper into the garden.

On the way to Canglan Court, they discovered traces on another rarely traveled path covered in snow—two lines of chaotic footprints, one line had a shoe size similar to Xiao Linzi’s.

When everyone was unsure, the grey hawk flew back, seeming almost human-like, trying to guide them forward.

Eventually, Lian Hua decided to follow the grey hawk. With the hawk leading the way, the group headed straight to the Imperial Animal Garden, where they found Xiao Linzi being chased by Ye Ying. Xiao Jizi, anxious, rushed forward to help Xiao Linzi.

But who would have thought Xiao Linzi ran straight into a tree, absent-mindedly, only to be pulled back by the arriving Xiao Jizi.

Seeing Xiao Jizi arrive, Ye Ying realized the situation was exposed and imdiately tried to escape, only to be kicked by Xiao Kunzi, who had silently followed.

At this mont, events took a dramatic turn. Master Wu and several others noticed sothing was off with the beasts, and sensing danger, quickly fled nearby to capture a hostage for a surprise attack. They were noticed by Xiao Kunzi, who leaped over and kicked the leading Master Wu away.

Lian Hua saw this and Xing Ren was furious, believing people bullying him were no different from bullying herself. She waved her small hand and ordered: "Take them all down!"

With her command, Xiao Kunzi and the Shadow Guards unleashed fierce moves. How could Master Wu and Ye Ying possibly compete? They were quickly captured.

But Lian Hua was still furious. Seeing Xiao Linzi being chased like a dog deeply enraged her. If they hadn’t arrived, the foolish Young Eunuch might have been killed.

At that ti, Xiao Linzi, having narrowly escaped death, held an empty food box, sobbing and trembling, unable to speak from fear. Xiao Jizi and Xiao Qing took turns comforting him, but it didn’t help.

Lian Hua pursed her lips silently, turned to stare at Ye Ying and the others, and slowly raised her hand, ordering: "Continue beating them until Xiao Linzi isn’t scared anymore. Beat them to death if necessary—I’ll take responsibility!"

Beat them as much as you want, aim for where it hurts, to vent Xiao Linzi’s frustration.

This thod indeed proved very effective. Xiao Linzi forgot his fear, watching Ye Ying and the others get beaten like pigs. Feeling these villains weren’t so terrifying, the shadow in his heart gradually faded.

Seeing he was alright, Lian Hua finally heaved a sigh of relief, ordered them to stop, and left them alive for the Emperor to deal with.

The matter wasn’t over yet. The grey hawk reminded Lian Hua with a squawk that its issue wasn’t resolved.

Sohow, the communication between the person and the bird resulted in understanding. Lian Hua comprehended the hawk’s intentions, instructing the Shadow Guard to fly inside and open the Imperial Animal Garden’s gate, leading the group to continue following the hawk.

As for Ye Ying and the others, Lian Hua had no positive feelings whatsoever, and certainly didn’t grant them any good treatnt, ordering them to be dragged away, in whatever way was convenient.
