It was a once-in-a-lifeti opportunity to get enrolled in the Elite Alpha Academy, especially for soone who wasn’t born into a family of wealth, power, and influence.
Graduating from this prestigious institute as a strong, competent Alpha and landing a highly secure job through which he could provide his mother a prosperous life ahead without any stress of financial crisis had been Kylian’s only lifeti dream.
He never wished for anything else for the mighty Moon Goddesses, nor did he ever complain about all the hardships he had faced since childhood.
But it took only one night of his 19th birthday to brutally crush that dream his life had depended upon.
After he had succeeded in taking the first step towards his goal when Dr. Albert tossed the heartbreaking question at him, Kylian stayed numb for a second. His face darkened with anguish, once again realizing the bitter reality of his life as he repeated after him, "Q-Quit the academy?"
"Of course." Dr. Albert seed to observe his deep agony from his expression, but holding a heavy heart, as a guardian he suggested what was the wise choice for Kylian at that mont.
"You’ve transitioned into a dominant oga, Kylian. If you were a recessive one, my worries for you wouldn’t have been so extre, because those ogas are quite common in the population and they are usually well-balanced in their surroundings. But considering your rare trait, your body is in an unbalanced state and it might take so ti, maybe so years, for your body to attain stabilization.
"During our heat might co irregularly, and your pheromone scent will also be stronger than usual in such a given situation. Usually, a unique dominant oga’s scent, especially when they are in their irregular heats, can work as equally as an aphrodisiac on all the Alphas near them, so it will be extrely dangerous to be around them. So, considering your circumstances, it is best for you Kylian that you quit the Academy. It is still not too late."
Mr. Albert explained everything almost in one breath, as he lifted his gaze to watch Kylian’s expression. His ocean eyes were glistening in tears under the sunlight gleaming inside the room, and his face had run out of blood, making Kylian completely pale from distress.
< "I have used all of my life savings to pay for the tuition fees, Kyle. Your Mom will always be standing behind you in every leap you take ahead, you know that right?" >
But when Kylian had almost unconsciously agreed to Dr. Albert’s proposal, Marita’s soft cheerful words suddenly echoed inside his head, as if it ant to serve as a reminder for Kylian. He flinched as he could feel a painful knot tug inside his chest, followed by a wave of remorse on the choice he was about to make at that mont.
However, just imagining Marita’s smiling face on the day before he left his hotown strengthened his determination which Kylian badly needed at that mont.
"So, I will prepare a fake genetic diagnosis report for you and show it to the Principal, you can quit the Academy, Kylian." Dr. Albert opened his prescription notepad while elaborating in a serene tone, "I know you are a bright student, Kylian...and believe there’s a great future awaiting you. So, after you quit here, go back to your hotown safely and—"
"I won’t quit."
"Yes, I knew you would agree to my suggestion and...wait...What!?"
Dr. Albert almost wheezed in shock, lifting his rolled eyes to et his gaze. In front of him, Kylian was seated still bearing his resolute expression, when he answered again this ti clearly, "I won’t quit the Elite Academy. Rather than that, I will hide my original trait and fake my identity there as an Alpha until I graduate."
"Wait...you must be kidding, right?" Dr. Albert’s tone sounded very anxious, as he stared at his cold teary eyes in disbelief before he grunted again, "Didn’t you hear my explanation a while ago, Kylian?"
"Yes, I have heard it, doctor."
"Then why—"
"My mother gave up on her life savings to pay for my tuition fees. Until now, I know she must been wearing herself to the bone just so that she could provide with a life worthy to live in this unfair world. This is the least I could do for her after everything she has gone through just because of , Dr. Albert."
Kylian’s voice trembled a little, and from his rugged pitch, it was clear that he was suppressing his tears.
However, staring at him with his widened orbs, Dr. Albert frowned his brows, sounding much more anxious than before, "Kylian, I can’t allow this as a doctor. Your body is in an unstable state, and staying inside the Academy full of Alphas will be no less than a suicide attempt! You may get attacked at any mont! Just as you have already experienced last night, when you are in your heat, your body will beco vulnerable and will lose its ability to fight back!"
"I know...and still knowing that I won’t waver from my decision. I can do anything for my mother...she is the only family I am left with in this world. And even if it is considered a suicide attempt, I will gladly even do that for her. That’s how much she ans to ."
Kylian’s tearful voice deepened a bit when he answered him without a second thought again. Just gazing into his firm blue eyes, Dr. Albert could vividly see his strong determination beaming in them.
A brief anticipating pause followed after Kylian expressed his declaration, however, the wrinkles on Dr. Albert’s forehead seed to increase a few more folds out of concern. After giving it so thought, he opened the drawer of his desk and grabbed sothing to give to Kylian as he spoke in a cryptic tone.
"If you have already made up your mind, then at least follow this suggestion of mine. Whenever your irregular heat cos on, inside the academy, at least use this one."
