273 Chapter 273 The Last Descendant of the Long Family
Hearing i Fei Long’s irate tone and rembering that she was an orphan, Xiauyue imdiately understood that her cousin Miao Xifei had touched on a taboo subject and she was forced to make a decision.

Desmond did not have to say a single word, his gaze said it all, and Xiauyue understood it, she understood that Desmond’s passive attitude was not because he did not want to or wasn′t going to intervene but that it was a test for her; he was trying to tell her that she needed to make a decision now.
“I’m sorry,” Xiauyue said with a certain weight in her voice and she directed her gaze towards her cousin before continuing: “Do whatever you want with him”
In the precise instant, those words left Xiauyue, i erupted with intense golden Ki covering her entire body with small strands of silver Ki erging occasionally.
Her pupils sharpened like the shaft of a sword and her eyes emitted a dangerous tallic glow that emanated murderous intent that threatened to devour all in their path; neither Desmond nor Xiauyue had seen i this upset before and it was ti to observe the consequences of provoking this kind-hearted but ruthless resolve girl.
Feeling that things had gone to hell for so reason, Xiauyue’s cousin drew his weapon while giving the order to his subordinates to attack but to his disbelief; Desmond and Xiauyue not only failed to stop i but even stepped forward to block his subordinate’s path leaving him alone to face the enraged i Fei Long.
Drawing her sword, Xiauyue did not hesitate to emit her own Ki flare preparing for a tough battle against the two core disciples accompanying her cousin.
Desmond for his part was probably the one who would have the worst mont of the three as he had to face two individuals who surpass him in strength by a significant margin but the girls were not worried about him, they knew very well how lethal Desmond could be in combat; it only took a slight oversight for soone to find the end of him in his hands.

While this was happening, Xiauyue summoned her Ki projections using her most fundantal martial art and used her sword to block the martial arts of her opponents using a soft defense to neutralize the force of the incoming attacks.

And it was because of these that Desmond found an opportunity to deliver a withering attack as while exchanging blows with his opponents he quickly fell at a disadvantage, so he used his daggers to execute a cross-cut designed to force his opponents to retreat and allow himself to strengthen his defenses.
At that mont Desmond watched as one of his rivals confidently withdrew just the right distance to dodge the edge of his blade by a couple of milliters to which Desmond responded imdiately by pouring a stream of tallic Ki into the dagger activating the runes in it causing his opponent to only see a golden flash before he felt the now extended blade of the dagger cut through his belly from side to side causing his insides to spill out.
Even Desmond had to admit that he didn’t expect to be able to get rid of one of his opponents so easily but this was what happened when soone was careless in front of soone with weapons as dangerous as Desmond’s.
Without even paying attention to the battles going on around her, i focused all of her attention on the man who dared to insult the blood that ran through her veins.
Being an orphan and due to the details concerning the death of her parents as well as her entire clan, i never spoke about her family and any insult to it was her biggest taboo.
Now seeing soone who not only dared to insult who she considered her woman but she also insulted her lineage; i didn’t plan to have any consideration for this person that it had touched two of her taboos.
With a crash, the ground beneath i’s feet cracked under the pressure before i faded away leaving behind only an afterimage and the heartbreaking sound of the wind breaking as she passed.
Feeling that death was coming knocking on his door, Miao Xifei did not hesitate at all before activating his protective treasures causing various colorful Ki barriers to appear in front of him.
As soon as these barriers finished building around him he heard another low growl uttering the phrase and watched in despair as all his Ki barriers collapsed; these were no different from the paper trying to stop the montum of a waterfall.
Gigantic waves of gold and silver Ki began to reverberate leaving a trail of destruction in its way before one last blast of power collided with what was left of Miao Xifei’s defenses, annihilating everything in its path.
The huge blast of energy created complete chaos on the battlefield splitting it in two with the furrow of pure destruction left behind by the attack; Needless to say, Xiauyue and i’s fighting style couldn’t be more different.
Desmond tried to take the opportunity to take his opponent off guard but instead received a fairly well-calculated kickback that broke several ribs which made him recoil imposingly seeing that his opponent not only did not lower his guard but used the mont to his advantage.
Xiauyue on the other hand had been more successful, at the mont of the explosion, she took advantage of the fraction of a second in which her opponents were distracted, she exploded with all her power unleashing one of her most powerful abilities overwhelming the defenses of her opponents with the tens of blows generated by his martial art
Her opponents simply couldn’t deal with the incessant simultaneous barrage of palm strikes executed by Xiauyue’s Ki projection squad.
Of course, the biggest loser from this exchange was none other than Miao Xifei who was now barely holding on to his life with his body bleeding from all sides as he leaned panting against a tree.
Seeing that things couldn’t be worse, Miao Xifei tried to beg his cousin for his life in a desperate attempt to survive but when he saw the look of resolution in Xiauyue’s eyes he understood that she was not planning to intervene which made him lash out with all manner of degrading insults.
Hearing the idiot in front of her bark like a mad dog, with the tallic glow in her eyes becoming more intense, i couldn’t help but comnt with disdain: “Dogs like you should keep quiet, co... let help you ”
The next instant i vanished again appearing in front of Miao Xifei unleashing an incessant flurry of blows that didn′t seem much different from her echo fist except for so reason they didn′t emit any sound at all nor did they seem to cause any havoc around her.
Tens to hundreds, the now silver Ki waves pulsed rhythmically with each strike covering an area several ters around with silent silver flashes until i stopped.
Looking at her opponent apparently intact, she only comnted with a prideful aura around her: “I may be the last descendant of the Long clan but it is still above a dog like you insulting my lineage.”
But from the strange effect of her martial art creating an area where no sound could exist, only she knew that those words were spoken, and seeing Miao Xifei’s now lifeless eyes; she lost interest and backed away from him with calm steps.
Everyone present watched in confusion as she withdrew from the seemingly paralyzed Miao Xifei but it wasn’t until she took the fifth step that Miao Xifei’s immobile body simply exploded from the inside out as if a monstrous force had burst from within leaving nothing else than unidentifiable chunks of at where there used to be a human.
