Wild and Haines had been in Anteca for months now. However, until now, the two of them hadn’t properly t. How could they et when, every ti they had to, they kept standing up to each other?
So, it was safe to say that this was the first ti Wild and Haines had t again after a long ti.
"What the hell is wrong with Penny?"
Haines furrowed his brows and leaned forward, narrowing his eyes. He didn’t read the lengthy ssage, but he saw the greeting and the introduction at the beginning.
The ssage was from Old Mrs. Pierson.
"It seems... Penny has lost her mind," Haines comnted, showing Wild the ssage he received from the sa sender. "This is the ssage I received at the sa ti."
Wild’s face contorted, not having the energy to read all the ssages. He had already read enough to grasp the gist of it. It was just as unpleasant as the one he had received.
"Hey! What the — how dare you talk bad about my child!?" Suddenly, Charles chid in. "My daughter is perfect! She’s not the one to lose her mind!"
Allison, on the other hand, just looked worried. "So, you’re Mister Wild? Penny told lots of things about you. It’s pleasant to et you again, and I’m sorry if I didn’t recognize you imdiately."
"Don’t worry about it." Wild waved dismissively. "But your daughter is setting up for a date — who’s got the ti?"
"Uhm, excuse ?" Jessa cleared her throat. "Did you say you’re *that* Wild, Penny always talks about?"
Wild arched a brow. "And you are?"
The corner of Jessa’s mouth hooked up as her eyelids drooped. "I’m just a mother who’s been abandoned by my child, only for him to be bullied by so old fart."
Wild blinked, watching how Jessa’s face darkened. Her eyes glinted, almost like they were red.
"A mother, huh?" he mumbled, only to rember Yugi and Penny’s usual comnt about Yugi’s mother. He took a step back briefly, laughing awkwardly. "So, you’re Yugi’s mother. Madam—"
"Madam?! I don’t rember being so old as to be called madam."
Wild turned to Haines and then caught Charles making a chopping motion in front of his throat. That ant Wild had to run, right? But before Wild could do so, Jessa had already grabbed his collar to stop him.
"Oh, ho..." Jessa giggled, smiling at him with her eyes squinting. "Don’t leave yet. I’d like to have a word with you first, okay?"

anwhile...
"I’ll be back later in the evening." Nina was sitting on the chair beside the bed, squeezing Finn’s hand. "Rest, okay? I’ll try to co back early so we can have dinner together."
Finn smiled and nodded at her. "Co back...?"
"Where else would I go?" she quipped as she let his hand go, standing beside the bed. Nina studied him with a smile, caressing his cheek before turning to leave.
This ti, Nina looked back at him just before reaching the door. As soon as she did, Finn flashed her a gentle smile.
"See you later," she repeated, and he nodded before she closed the door.
As soon as Nina shut the door, she stood there motionlessly and sighed. She placed a hand on her nape, stretching her neck from one side to the other.
When they ca back yesterday, the doctors acted like nothing had happened. Only then did Nina realize Cassandra didn’t just use her license, but also her connections, to get Finn out of the hospital. Surely, rich people could do a lot of things.
But on the bright side, the doctors who had checked on Finn told her he would be fine. All Finn had to do was recover and rehabilitate because one of his arms was still weak from the accident. Other than that, Finn was fine — it was almost like a miracle, but the doctors had to give credit to the person who had been taking care of him.
"It’s just a couple of hours," she told herself quietly. "I’ll bring him so warm soup later."
After saying that to herself, Nina turned. The mont she did, she flinched when she saw Yugi sitting on the bench.
"Achoo!" Yugi wiped his nose with his handkerchief, lifting his eyes to where Nina stood. "I’m not judging."
Nina forced a smile. "The people who say they weren’t judging are judging. Yugi, are you alright? Did you catch a cold?"
"I’m fine." Yugi shrugged off the feeling that soone was talking ill about him, standing up to his feet. "Are you going to work now?"
"Yes."
"Then, I’ll drive you there."
"Yugi, it’s alright." Nina chuckled. "Don’t you have to be at your office? I’ve already bothered you enough since yesterday until now."
Yugi waved dismissively. "Don’t worry about that. Let’s just go."
"But—"
"Before you argue with , know that I have all my argunts ready. And I’m not in a hurry to go back to the office — Penny is aware too. So, I don’t mind arguing with you in here for the next hour or so... but I’m not sure if you can afford to be late."
Nina’s smile grew helpless as she watched Yugi arch a brow at her. "Fine," she sighed in defeat. "Goodness. Would I ever win against you?"
Having said that, the two of them chuckled and walked away together.
"Don’t worry. I ask the sa question when it cos to Yuri. The only difference between her and is that she’s a psycho."
"I won’t tell her what you said."
"You better not."
"Haha."
As they walked toward the elevator of the building, Yugi’s gaze went past her. He nodded slightly at the person seated on the bench before shifting his focus back to Nina.

anwhile, inside the ward, Finn was reclining on the bed with a tablet in his hand. It had been a while since he read articles that might concern him. Surprisingly, there wasn’t much that had happened while he was in a coma. The irony was that now that he was awake, an interesting article finally showed up.
"Atlas Bennet... was kicked out of Global Pri Logistics?" he whispered, peeling his eyes from the tablet to the window. He stared out the window quietly until he suddenly heard the door slide open without a knock beforehand.
Slowly, he turned his head toward the door, only to furrow his brows when he saw who was standing there.
