"Penny!!"

"Ick!" Penny flinched as she heard her brother’s echoing voice down the empty hallway. Looking back, she caught a glimpse of Hugo’s shadow. Quickly, she looked around and jumped into one of the nearby classrooms.

Despite her swift action, she carefully closed the door to increase her chances of losing Hugo. As soon as the door shut, she huffed and rested the top of her head against it.

"Why does he sound like he’d kill if he gets his hands on ?" she wondered aloud, pushing herself away from the door.

As soon as she turned, Penny flinched when her eyes landed on Benjamin. He was tied to a chair at the teacher’s desk, his mouth duct-taped.

"What in the world...?" she breathed out, watching Benjamin struggle while his muffled screams filled the silence of the empty classroom.

A sigh slipped past her lips, only for her to hear Hugo’s voice outside the classroom. Looking back at the shut door, she scrunched up her nose.

"Gee," she clicked her tongue, snapping her eyes back to Benjamin. "What are you—hey, be quiet. Tell my brother I’m here and you’re dead."

"Mhp!!!" Benjamin reacted, but whatever he wanted to say only sounded muffled.

Penny studied him, then listened to Hugo’s call outside. She knew her second brother hadn’t reached the classroom yet, but he was close. Knowing him, he was probably taking so ti to check the classrooms.

"Fine, fine," she said, marching toward the screaming Benjamin. She stopped in front of him, resting her hands on her knees, eyes locked on his.

Benjamin continued to scream for help, his wide eyes shaking as if he was trying to relay his ssage with just his eye movents.

"I’ll let you go, but if my second brother cos in here, tell him you don’t know, okay?" she asked, watching him nod profusely. "Hmm. But I don’t trust a loudmouth like you."

"Mhph! Mhmm! Hmp!"

"..." Penny pressed her lips together, feeling a little sorry for him. Letting out a sigh, she rocked her head. "Don’t you dare scream once I take that handkerchief off your mouth, okay?"

Again, Benjamin nodded.

"Goodness, this school has just beco a lawless place," she muttered, walking behind Benjamin. She studied the knots covering his mouth, arching an eyebrow as she stared at them longer than she should have.

"Interesting," she thought. "I think I’ve seen this knot before."

Not dwelling on it, Penny reached out for the handkerchief and untied it. But just as she could pull the last knot, she paused, seeing so shadows on the thin curtains of the windows.

"Shit," she breathed out, quickly retying Benjamin’s mouth cover out of panic. Penny looked around but couldn’t find a place to hide. With the bodysuit she was wearing, it was impossible!

"Mhmm!!" Benjamin scread, drawing her attention.

But when Penny t his eyes, she saw the desk and the space underneath it.

---

"Penny...?" Hugo called, this ti quietly. "Are you there?"

Stopping in front of another classroom, he gazed at the door. This was the last one on the floor, and there was no way Penny could’ve gotten away from him that quickly. Their distance from one another wasn’t that far. Therefore, he was sure Penny was hiding sowhere in these classrooms.

With that thought in mind, he opened the door.

"Mhmp!!!" A muffled scream was the first thing he heard, furrowing his brows in confusion. "Hmp!!"

"Benjamin?" Hugo intuitively took a step forward but stopped before he could cross the threshold. This could be a trap. He knew his sister—when sober, she was dangerous but reasonable. When drunk? She’d fight him to the death, and Hugo didn’t have the energy for that right now.

Hugo just wanted to contain her, that was all.

With that, Hugo quickly prepared his mind and body for any confrontation. The second he stepped inside, he turned behind the door, just in case his sister was waiting to strike him in the head. Fortunately, she wasn’t there.

"Oh." He heaved a sigh of relief, looking around before rushing to Benjamin. "Hey."

Hugo studied Benjamin and quickly felt sorry for him. "I’m sorry. Wait, let untie you."

Hugo was well aware that Benjamin had been "escorted" out because he kept scolding Zoren and everyone who approached him. It made people wonder if Benjamin was Zoren’s mother or lover with how protective he was. Even so, Hugo didn’t know Mark would tie the guy up like this.

"There you go," he sighed, hearing Benjamin gasp deeply.

"THAT MARK!!! I’LL KILL HIM!"

Hugo almost jumped away from his spot, thinking Benjamin was gasping for air. Who would’ve thought it was just to scream so loud it could break the windows?

"Chill," Hugo remarked, his fingers inside his ears.

"How dare he!?" Benjamin didn’t stop, venting out his frustrations and the injustice he was going through. Hugo could only surrender and stopped trying to make him stop, looking around for Penny.

"Hey, Ben," he called, casting his eyes down on the now-tired Benjamin. "Have you seen Penny?"

Benjamin frowned. "Sir Hugo, do you think Miss Penny wouldn’t let go if she saw how they bullied like this?"

"Uh... yes?"

"Slander! Sir Hugo, please untie first! I need to get my revenge."

"Benjamin, revenge is a bad thing."

"But it’s the right thing to do."

"..." Hugo blinked a couple of tis before deciding not to do anything further.

"Sir Hugo! Sir Second Brother! Hey!!!" But no matter how much Benjamin shouted, Hugo checked every place his sister could have hidden. With her bodysuit, there was no way she could hide anywhere else. When he finished inspecting, he rested his hand near the window and turned to Benjamin once more.

"Miss Penny is not here!" Benjamin yelled, panting for air as he t Hugo’s eyes. "Second Brother, please just let go."

Hugo narrowed his eyes. "Ben, Penny was here, wasn’t she?"

"Huh?"

"Where is she, Ben?"

As Hugo leaned against the window, his eyes fell on the desk in front of Benjamin and he realized there was enough space underneath for soone to hide.
