Normally, whenever Penny got drunk, she would pass out. There were tis when she would pass out a second after drinking. She was that lightweight. However, today, she only blinked, and everyone knew that drunken Penny had co out by the way her lips curled up so deviously.
Hugo, Zoren, and even Mark could only tell themselves one thing: they were too late.
Why did Ray even allow alcoholic beverages in the school?!
"So, Penny is the winner!" Lily announced right after justifying how Penny won. "Penny, congrats~! I knew you could do it."
Penny slowly raised her brows and turned her head to Lily. "Thank you!"
"Hehe. If any of you still want to object, just raise your hand!" Lily turned to everyone, her eyes falling on Hugo and Zoren. "Are you okay with the winner, you both?"
Zoren and Hugo didn’t answer, but they both nodded with their eyes fixated on Penny. Seeing this, Lily was satisfied and turned to the rest.
"The two contenders agreed with the winner. Is anyone else not pleased about it?"
"Lily — I an, Miss President, let’s just move on to another ga!"
"No! This ga is fun! Just change the rules! It’s unfair!"
"That’s right!"
"We’d like a new one better!"
As the crowd expressed their opinions, Lily calmly smiled and listened to their requests. After all, she was the organizer and the president of this fan club. Like a good leader, she listened to her subjects... then did sothing completely random.
While everyone was busy, Penny looked around and took a step away. However, Hugo and Zoren instantly reached for her hands to hold her.
"Huh?" Penny furrowed her brows and darted her eyes between the two. "What are you doing? I just won."
Hugo narrowed his eyes. "Where are you going?"
"Bathroom."
"What are you going to do in there?"
"Uh... to do what people do in the bathroom?"
"Like?"
"Pee? Second Brother, are you okay? Why are you asking such a weird question?" Penny frowned a bit, making Hugo tilt his head slightly.
"I’m okay," he said. "Are you?"
"Uh huh?" Penny blinked innocently, then moved her gaze to Zoren. "Renren, is everything okay?"
Just like Hugo, Zoren narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "Are you drunk?"
"Nope."
"Penny?"
"Yes?"
"Don’t lie to ."
"..." Penny didn’t answer imdiately before she sighed. "Do I look like I’m lying to you? I would never lie to you... for no reason."
For a mont, Hugo and Zoren just studied her. Unlike what they expected, Penny was acting... normal. She wasn’t being wild, nor was she saying all sorts of things that wouldn’t make sense to anyone but herself.
Were they mistaken?
"You would never lie to ," Zoren repeated, rocking his head before letting her go. "Okay, go pee."
"You believe her?" Hugo asked, and Zoren nodded. When Hugo set his eyes back on his sister, he sized her up one last ti before reluctantly letting her go. "Penny, you know what happens when you’re drunk, right?"
"Mhm. I know. You told ."
Upon hearing that, Hugo was convinced that the alcohol intake didn’t make her drunk. Considering Penny went on a drunken week so ti ago, she probably raised her tolerance.
"Okay." Hugo nodded in understanding. "Call if you need anything."
"Sure thing." Penny shrugged, turning her back on them. The second she did, the side of her lips curled up mischievously, almost skipping her steps away from them.

"That’s weird," Hugo muttered, keeping his eyes on his sister for a while before holding Zoren’s gaze. "Hey, are you okay?"
"Mhm." Zoren pinched the bridge of his nose. "I sobered up when she chugged that drink."
Hugo chuckled. "Sa with . I thought I was drunk, but I guess I’m not drunk enough not to sense danger."
Slowly, Zoren gazed up at him, and the second their eyes t, they both burst out laughing.
"I take it back. I’m still a tiny bit drunk," Hugo confessed, while Zoren rocked his head. "Oh, why did you have to pressure like that?"
Zoren chuckled until the dimple in his cheek showed. "I’m sorry. I got carried away. I thought it was quite cool."
"Cool? You think drinking like that is cool?"
"According to the study I read so ti ago, teenagers tend to do all this adult stuff to look cool," explained Zoren. "I read it in the past... thinking about what Penny could be doing in her life as a teenager while I was going through treatnt."
Hugo scrunched up his nose. "You thought Penny would do all that?"
"I read about peer pressure among teens." Zoren blinked. "I just experienced that today. Quite a fun experience, in my opinion. I’d rate it three and a half out of five."
"You are... drunk."
"I’m not..." Zoren trailed off as he thought about it. "... I guess I am."
"See, I told you—"
"No." Zoren snapped his eyes back at Hugo before turning his head toward where Penny left. "She just told she wouldn’t lie to ... for no reason."
"Huh?"
"She’s drunk." His mouth fell open in shock, only realizing that Penny was drunk. Facing Hugo again, his expression was grim and horrified. "The sober Penny wouldn’t lie to , even for a reason. She promised that when she confessed about knowing who Renren was. But the drunk one... she worships no one but herself."
aning, the drunken Penny had no qualms about lying to anyone if she saw fit. It was just that she liked Zoren and thus told him she would only lie to him for a reason.
"Ah, shit!" Hugo clenched his teeth. "That lady—!"
Having said that, Zoren and Hugo jumped from their spots and rushed to where Penny had left. Little did they know, as they ran to go after Penny, that Penny had rerouted earlier when they weren’t looking. Instead of leaving the gymnasium, she made a turn and hid behind the crowd.
"Hehe." She giggled as she placed down the Penny mask available at the other booth. "It took them a while to realize that."
Feeling accomplished with Zoren and Hugo now out of the gymnasium while Atlas and Mark also followed them, Penny stood on her toes and looked around. The mont she spotted Jonathan, her eyes twinkled.
"Found you."
