Nina gazed at the freshly laundered uniform in front of her in the cubicle before smiling. Although she hadn’t graduated from the Summit School of Excellence and attended a different alma mater, she had once worn this uniform with such pride.
’How nostalgic,’ she thought to herself. ’I should’ve known Lily wouldn’t settle for just a simple reunion party.’
Shaking her head, Nina quietly changed into the uniform. But as she did, she couldn’t help but flinch when she heard Penny grumbling a few cubicles away. Nina chuckled quietly, shaking her head as she changed into the school uniform.
"It fits... perfectly," she mused in surprise before folding her clothes. When she stepped out, she flinched again as she caught so won looking in her direction. "It’s a nice fit... isn’t it? Though the skirt is a little short."
The won looked Nina up and down before smiling in satisfaction. Just then, Nina heard Lily’s loud voice from the entrance.
"Oh, my god!" Lily dramatically paused by the entrance, her mouth gaping open as she stared at Nina. "You look... amazing!"
Lily quickly jumped into the won’s bathroom, stopping a few steps from Nina. "Wow. I don’t know if it’s the uniform or your convent sense of style at this age, but you really have such sexy legs. You should show them more!"
"Haha..." Now that Lily was paying attention to Nina’s legs, the latter couldn’t help but pull down the hem of her skirt. "Lily, do you have longer skirts?"
"I do, but nope!" Lily grinned, giggling. "Keep it like that — right, fix your hair the way you used to. Co on! We’re going to vote for our school bell today, too!"
"What?"
"Just... co on." Lily didn’t explain further. With several uniforms and blazers draped over her arms, she rested her hands on Nina’s shoulder and pushed her toward the sink counter.
Nina smiled wryly, gazing at Lily in the mirror. "I don’t have any makeup."
"Makeup is your problem?" Lily smirked, snapping her eyes toward the won guarding one of the cubicles. "Girls? Don’t worry about Penny anymore. I’ve got it. Let’s help one of our sisters here. She doesn’t have makeup — let’s doll her up, so she gets the school bell award today!"
"Uh..." Nina opened and closed her mouth, but her voice wouldn’t co out. She couldn’t say a word until the other won had left.
"Lily, why is this—"
"Penny, stop complaining and just wear your uniforms!" Lily yelled toward one of the cubicles. "You’re gonna be late for school, so you better hurry up!"
Penny, in the cubicle, looked at the door in disbelief. ’Why does she sound like Aunt Jessa right now?’ she wondered, knowing Allison had never rushed her children. Well, Allison didn’t have to because all her children were responsible and took care of themselves every school day. And if there were days they couldn’t get up early like they used to, Allison would first ask them what was wrong before anything else.
’Gee!’ Penny’s face crumpled, clicking her tongue irritably. However, she didn’t complain any further and changed into sothing more reminiscent of the young Penny.
Pleased that Penny had finally stopped complaining, Lily flashed Nina a smile. "Do you need help with your hair?"
"No, it’s okay." Nina instinctively pulled out a hair clip — which she thankfully carried in her pocket, since she often used it to tie her hair when working.
"Tell if you need anything else, okay?" Lily offered reassuringly.
"I need a longer skirt?"
"Uhm... except that. I’m rooting for you to win the school bell award, but you still need to make an effort. It’s rigged — I an, not rigged-rigged, but you know what I an?"
’No, I don’t.’
"Well, anyway, I’ll leave you to it!" Lily clapped before walking toward the cubicle where Penny was. She knocked on it, saying, "Penny, is this how long it takes you to get ready for school?"
"Haha." Nina let out a shallow chuckle before facing the mirror to do her hair. Since Nina was only carrying her hair clip, she casually brushed her hair with her hands and clipped half of it, settling for a half ponytail. Thankfully, she had curled her hair, so it looked good.
Just as Nina finished her hair, the cubicle door suddenly flew open, as if Penny had kicked it. As soon as Penny stepped out, Nina’s face twitched.
"Kyahh~!!" Lily cheered, clasping her hands together and looking at Penny happily. "It really looks like you! Though not as chubby as before, you’re so cute~!"
There, Penny stood in the sa school uniform. Her skirt was long, reaching past her knees. Underneath, she wore her P.E. pants, as she often did back in the day. Penny had always preferred wearing pants underneath her skirt, considering all her extracurricular activities, as it allowed for more comfort and movent.
However, it wasn’t the pants that surprised Nina. It was the extra layer inside Penny’s uniform, a bodysuit or sothing that clung to her form. Penny’s face was still small, but her body had beco plus-sized. Lily looked so happy that she fawned over Penny, fangirling and telling her just how cute she looked.
"Slater and I got this bodysuit and had it customized to fit you like it’s your second skin!" Lily explained excitedly. "I told him it wasn’t needed, but it looks great."
Penny’s deadpan expression focused on Lily. "Is that what’s been keeping my Third Brother busy lately?"
"Hehe. Is it heavy?"
"Hah..." Penny sighed, glancing at the mirror behind Lily. When her eyes drifted to the corner where Nina stood, her heart was filled with bitterness. "Lily! Do you hate ?!"
"Huh!?"
"Look at Nina!" Penny pointed at Nina, making her jolt. "Why is she so pretty, and why should I wear a bodysuit?!"
"Because Nina is the school bell and you’re our hero!" Lily gasped. "Penny, don’t tell you’ve always wanted to be the school bell?"
"No!"
"Then why are you upset?"
"Because I want to brag to my husband about how pretty I am and how lucky he is!"
Lily and Nina narrowed their eyes at Penny, their mouths sealed. After a mont, Lily rubbed her chin, pondering.
"Well, Penny, if that—"
"Lily, I can’t believe you’re reminding of my overweight days..." Penny trailed off, slumping on her knees and raising her brows in surprise when she didn’t feel anything other than the softness of the bodysuit. "... Never mind. I like this bodysuit."
Penny rose to her feet, only to fall on her knees again. "Wow. It’s so soft. I feel like I’m wrapped in a bed. I should tell my First Brother about this. I’m sure he’ll like it."
If this weren’t the bathroom, Penny would have rolled on the floor, enjoying the softness of the bodysuit. It felt as if she could be punched and not feel a thing! How convenient.
"This is why I didn’t want to lose weight in the first place," Penny muttered happily, bumping her shoulders against the cubicle wall just to make herself bounce off a little.
anwhile, Lily and Nina stared at Penny, who had quickly gotten over everything and imdiately accepted her new attire.
"I should’ve known," Nina murmured, smiling.
Lily, on the other hand, grinned happily, as though everything was settled. "I knew the third brother was the best! He knew you’d like this bodysuit. I shouldn’t have doubted him! You like it, Penny?"
"Yep. Love it."
