"Penny, I’m so glad you asked to co help you today," Lily said as she walked out of the residence with Penny. "Ginnie’s been such a bumr and hates it when I try to dress her up."
Penny smiled, walking Lily to her car. "I should be the one thanking you. Be careful on your way."
"Mhm." Lily grinned from ear to ear. "Anyway, I’m also glad you’re not letting it affect you."
"Huh?"
"Nina," Lily clarified. "I heard about what happened. I heard she called off the engagent, and then Finn got into an accident shortly after. Knowing you, I was a little worried you’d stop everything just to be with her."
"If I do that, it’s like punishing Nina."
Lily nodded. "That’s why I’m glad you’re not letting it get to you."
"Lily, have I ever been soone who stops just because others are going through sothing?"
"No, but you slow down. If not, you’re like a raging bull. I prefer the forr, since the latter scares a bit, just a tiny bit." Lily smirked playfully. "Anyway, are you sure you’re going to wear that to the office?"
"Is there a problem with it?"
Lily didn’t answer right away, instead assessing Penny up and down. Penny was wearing simple jeans, a shirt, and a jacket—nothing like the usual smart casual attire she would wear to the office. It looked more like she was heading for a stroll.
"Nothing," Lily finally replied. "You look perfect in anything."
"Haha. Go now."
"And you?"
"After you," Penny smirked, tilting her head in a direction.
Lily slowly shifted her gaze to where Penny gestured and raised an eyebrow when she saw a motorbike. "You’re going to ride that?"
"I’ve been going to the office with it—a few tis a week."
"And your clothes?"
"I sotis change in the office." Penny grinned. "I have a room above my office, and since I’m not using it, I decided to put so clothes in there."
"Oh..." Lily’s mouth ford an "o" shape. "I’m surprised your husband is letting you."
"You’d be surprised by what else he lets do," Penny quipped, giving Lily a gentle push into the backseat. "Go now. I know you have lots of things to do, and I’ve already taken up half your morning."
Lily chuckled, settling into the backseat. But before Penny could close the door, Lily held onto the handle and peeked out.
"Penny," she called, watching Penny raise her eyebrows. "You’re going, right? To the fan club reunion."
"I never heard of such a thing... like a fan club reunion."
"Please...?"
Penny studied the look on Lily’s pretty face and sighed. "I’ll think about it."
"Great!"
"Now, take care."
With that, Penny closed the door for Lily and stepped back. She waved, watching Lily wave back through the tinted window. When the car started moving, Penny didn’t linger; she walked over to her motorbike.
"She hasn’t changed," Lily murmured, watching Penny as the car pulled away. "She still does things however she wants. But isn’t she the matriarch of the Pierson Family? How can they let her go off on her own on a motorbike?"
Lily humd a tune and sighed, readjusting her position as she gazed out the window. When they crossed through the gates, she glanced at the side mirror and blinked at what she saw.
There, riding slowly in the driveway, was Penny on her motorbike. A few cars followed behind her.
"If I didn’t know better, I’d think she was the escort for the car in the middle," Lily comnted quietly before breaking into a laugh. "Well, even though she’s being treated like the first lady, I’m glad she’s still the Penelope I know. She doesn’t feel that far and out of reach."

anwhile, at Pierson Corporation...
DING!
"Huh?" Benjamin frowned as the elevator stopped, glancing at the floor numbers above the door. "Who in the world would use this elevator, knowing it’s exclusive to the CEO?"
Whoever it was, Benjamin had a feeling they wouldn’t be pleasant. He was right. As the doors slowly opened, the most unwelco person he could imagine appeared.
William Pierson, along with a few of his lackeys.
"Zoren!" William grinned, his tone laced with surprise, which didn’t match the contempt in his eyes. "I an, CEO Pierson. I didn’t know you were leaving the office early today, so I thought I’d use this lift."
His mouth twisted into a cunning smirk, like a fox about to put a plan into motion. "May I?"
’This shaless person!’Benjamin’s face soured. ’We all know he didn’t stop the lift because he thought no one was using it. His excuses are getting lar while he’s getting even more cocky!’
"Director William—" Benjamin began but stopped when Zoren raised a hand, signaling him to stay quiet. After all, Benjamin was the only lackey who feared no one in the Pierson Family. Why would he, when Zoren had his back?
"Of course you may." Zoren offered his uncle a subtle smile, though it didn’t reach his eyes.
William smirked, casting the cheeky Benjamin a taunting look. Benjamin grumbled, moving to the back with a heavy heart.
"et in the lobby," William told his people outside the lift, smiling as the doors closed.
Standing side by side with Zoren, William cast him a sidelong glance. "Thank you for sharing the lift with , Zoren."
"Generosity is sothing I do not deprive my people of," Zoren replied coolly. "William, you seem to be in a good mood."
"With the family eting coming up, it’ll once again show how united the Pierson Family is," William quipped, wiggling his brows at Zoren. "Doesn’t that make you happy, Zoren?"
Zoren narrowed his eyes and lowered his gaze. "It does make happy."
"Hehe." William chuckled, letting silence settle over them for a mont. But as they neared the ground floor, he spoke again. "Everyone is excited, especially to et your wife. I won’t lie — I’m eager to et her as well."
"Zoren, she’ll be coming tonight, won’t she?" he asked, casting Zoren a aningful look, but Zoren didn’t answer.
DING!
"Well, here we are." William cleared his throat as the doors opened, smacking his lips while casting Zoren one last look. He didn’t linger as he stepped out, but just as he did, he heard Zoren speak.
"You wouldn’t want her there."
William’s brow furrowed deeply, glancing back at the lift where Zoren stood. "What did you say?"
"You wouldn’t want my wife to be there," Zoren repeated, speaking slowly in case William didn’t understand. He gave a subtle smile as the doors slowly closed, adding, "She’s not that easy."
