Zoren had quite the reputation among the elite, not for the obvious things he had done, but for his lack of interest in social gatherings. When people knew little about soone, their imaginations ran wild.

The few people in tonight’s gathering, however, had at least caught a glimpse of him before. Even so, he was soone they could never mistake for anyone else. That commanding aura, his demure presence, and the way he carried himself were unmistakable.

"That’s Zoren Pierson...?" soone in the crowd muttered under his breath, eyes almost glued to Zoren. "That’s... him?"

All this ti, they thought that having Dean Pierson here was akin to having Zoren and the entire Pierson family present. After all, Dean Pierson was the face of the family. But who would have thought that seeing Zoren—especially for those who hadn’t even seen his shadow—would be an entirely different experience?

This man... this Zoren Pierson... wasn’t just the Pierson family. He was the Pierson family.

Hearing the whispers around him, Sven felt his knees wobble. He didn’t know this man initially, but after catching the hushed comnts, he knew he was dood.

"I..." Sven opened and closed his mouth, taking a step back, his eyes fixed on Zoren. "Mister... CEO Pierson?"

Zoren blinked ever so gently, tilting his head slightly. "Sven Bennet," he called, causing Sven’s breath to hitch.

’He knows ?’Sven wondered, his heart racing. Normally, he would have assud it was because of his own achievents, but right now, he didn’t have the luxury to assu anything.

How could he?

Staring into those dark eyes, Sven felt as though Zoren was deciding what sentence to give him. To his surprise, Zoren’s lips curled into a smile.

’What was that about?’Sven wondered, taking another step back until he bumped into soone. A hand imdiately pushed him to the ground.

"Hey!" Slater yelled, shoving Sven aggressively. "Why are you backing into ? Have you completely lost your mind?"

Sven froze as soon as he hit the floor, gazing up at the disgusted expression on Slater’s face. Slater didn’t even bother to hide his disdain. Looking around, Sven caught the dark expression on Hugo’s face and the unforgiving look in Penny’s eyes.

"What..." Sven trailed off, realizing everyone was looking down at him. Even the people he had been chatting with earlier—the ones who had been currying favor with him—were now sneering. His heart sank as if witnessing his world crumble before him.

"Tch!" Mr. Ito clicked his tongue bitterly as his eyes landed on Sven. "Now that I think about it, how could I have believed in a pathetic fool like you?"

"Weren’t you the fool for believing others, Mr. Ito?" Unlike everyone else, who was still stunned by Zoren’s appearance, Atlas was the least bit surprised. Even Penny had been shocked to see Zoren, but not Atlas.

Mr. Ito’s face turned red as he glared at Atlas. However, sensing soone’s gaze on him, he bit his tongue. Slowly, Mr. Ito shifted his eyes to Penny, who raised an eyebrow at him.

"Mr. Ito, weren’t you about to speak to my First Brother?" she asked politely, though Mr. Ito knew it wasn’t out of politeness.

Mr. Ito had been bold enough to berate Atlas and even disregard Dean Pierson, but he couldn’t act the sa way in front of Penny. Atlas and the Piersons might hold significant influence in Anteca, but not in Mr. Ito’s holand. Penny, however, had her base where the main branch of Ito Motors was located. She could interfere with Ito Motors’ operations and rally many people against him if she wished.

On top of that, Wild was backing Penny. While Wild might not be a prominent businessman, he was well known — for all the wrong reasons — within Mr. Ito’s social circles.

"Hehe... T. Mouse... Miss Penelope..." Mr. Ito forced a laugh, his shoulders slumping as he humbled himself in front of another young person who was unlike anyone else. When Penny’s expression didn’t change, Mr. Ito abandoned all pride and bowed to his knees.

It was a stretch, but from the country he ca from, this felt like the right thing to do.

"Miss Penelope, please forgive my impudence! Had I known he was your brother, I wouldn’t have dared speak a word, much less let a rat poison !" he exclaid, his head nearly touching the floor.

Many onlookers gasped at the scene, as this was not what they expected. For soone like Mr. Ito, they had imagined he would carry himself with more pride and dignity. Despite the mounting embarrassnt, Mr. Ito didn’t let them have the final word. But now, he was on the floor, begging for forgiveness.

"Please! Forgive this old man! I may have beco asinine with age and have been easily deceived by others!" he continued.

"Mr. Ito..." Theo glanced around and quickly squatted beside him. "Please, don’t do this... in front of everyone."

He tried to pull Mr. Ito up, but surprisingly, despite his age, Mr. Ito had enough strength to yank his arm away and maintain his position. The force was so strong that Theo also fell to his bottom.

They had no idea, Mr. Ito thought. Penny was like a princess — no, a queen — in his holand.

None of these people knew how many powerful n would go to war for her, not because they desired her, but because they were her most loyal allies. From what he’d heard, before Penny left for Anteca, all those powerful n — despite being enemies — had gathered just to beg her to stay.

In other words, offending the n in Anteca was sothing Mr. Ito could easily dodge. They might give him hell, but this man had been through hell far too many tis. But Penny? She would bury him alive.

"Penny, why is he on his knees?" Slater whispered as he moved closer to her. "Were you dealing drugs before?"

Penny, who had been staring at Mr. Ito and contemplating the scene before her, was distracted by the question. Her face twitched as she shot Slater an irritated look.

’How has he not figured it out by now?’she thought as she watched the genuine wonder in his eyes.
