"Monster Geno Arts increases our physical stats, making us as strong as monsters. Monsters get strong because their bodies absorb the Spirit energy of the atmosphere and naturally grow their physical prowess alongside magic. They are like the art of nature, as they can evolve to completely different structures and still get stronger."
"I don't know how Monster Geno Arts were created, but unlike Monsters, we have to absorb spirit energy from Essence Coins or mined Crystals from Spirit Veins and create unique patterns in our body internally, which can fundantally conjoin with our body structure, with a nexus as the center, so our flesh and blood can gain more power from spirit energy like Monsters."
"I see." John blinked and nodded as he sowhat understood, though he had his own doubts regarding this, while Yuna continued speaking as she addressed the main problem.
"The thing is, stronger Tars can sense what kind of Monster Geno Arts one is training in, and if they are training in the sa Monster Geno Arts, it's even easier to recognize. So if a ruling sect expels you, they will destroy the nexus of the Monster Geno Art you have nurtured, and you'll drop back to beco an average human. The process is also very painful and requires so ti for recovery before you can practice another Monster Geno Art."
John clicked his tongue. "Damn. And then we have to start again with more resources to get stronger using another Monster Geno Art..."
"Yep," Yuna nodded. "That's why it's impossible to go against the five ruling sects if you want to get strong. No one even thinks about that. Just join the ruling sects, train hard, get stronger, and then I don't know. These five sects have more operations outside of this continent, but I heard only those at the Sovereign rank and above can go there. So I guess you just have to beco stronger."
"I see..." John said, his brows slightly creasing. He didn't like the thods of the ruling sects. 'I have to think of sothing. It sounds like if these ruling sects found out about my 'special' powers thanks to the Rune of New Beginning, I could get in trouble.'
John decided to beco more cautious, and he also got so ideas. 'It looks like I'll have to plan sothing for the future. Joining a ruling sect might backfire on unless I can figure out a solution.'
...
After they finished eating, Yuna went to sleep while John road around, extracting cores of monsters and sacrificing them to get Xhal Drops.
Xhalthuun's Shop had the sa items as yesterday, but there was one free refresh chance. So he could refresh the shop items one ti without paying 100 Xhal Drops.
It turned out he would get 1 free refresh every day, though they wouldn't stack.
John didn't want to refresh the shop lest that Monster Geno Art selection box disappear.
He kept Pymon at the camp for protection with Starry and Doku. The trio was feeding the baby eagles and making them stronger in their way, like the natural monsters.
The number of monsters was also higher, and the elite monsters were also unsealed in all areas. Elite monsters were basically monsters like Alfred, Rayray, Pymon, and such, with high potential and rare species.
John hadn't decided which Monster to capture as his third Pet Monster, but he didn't want to settle for Monsters with less potential than Alfred and Pymon.
'I have a flying type one with Water and Wind attributes, with variant power of the corrosive wind. Pymon is more offense and speed.'
'Alfred is an all-rounder, but still more like a fighter.'
'So for the third one, I better get a defense-type or support-type monster.'
"Awoo!"
"You found more? Great," John jumped on Alfred's back as the wolf rode like the wind, crossing a kiloter of distance quickly before he jumped over seventy ters of distance, landing beside a tree near a rather large pond with two giant Monsters swimming in it.

The elephant stood four ters tall, fat and cute, looking strong.
'This one is better than the other one,' John thought as he inspected both Monsters.
"Hey, don't even think about it!"
John turned towards the direction of the voice and saw three people to the east of the pond, standing behind the bushes.
"These two Agoran Rainbun Elephants are ours!" The blue-haired girl spoke, pouting.
"That's right," the twin sister followed up with a nod.
John blinked as he inspected the trio. 'Twin girls and a boy, eh? Are they all siblings?'
'All three of them have reached Silver rank already, so they must have a Silver-rank Pet each.'
"Get lost already, trash. These monsters aren't for you," The black-haired boy snorted.
John raised his eyebrows. Frankly speaking, he didn't want these elephants, but he didn't like that brat's attitude.
However, he only had Alfred with him, so he was vastly outnumbered and would be overpowered if he fought with them.
But that didn't an he wouldn't teach them a lesson.
John raised his arms, indicating he didn't want these Elephants, and retreated back, out of their sight. However, he simply changed his location after putting Alfred in his soul space, sneaking to the west of the pond, and hiding behind bushes.
He could see the trio faintly as they seed to be talking.
'Ti to put practice to the test.'
John opened his palm, facing it towards the Elephants who were resting in the pond.
Narrowing his eyes, John focused and released two soul threads as they slowly extended towards the Elephants forty ters away.
'This works in theory, so it should work here...' John focused as the two soul threads went into the two Elephants, startling them as they suddenly stood up.
But John's eyes flickered as he exerted his pressure, extracting their cores.
The Elephants cried out and beca smaller and weaker, becoming adolescent baby elephants and they quickly escaped back into the pond which must have so passages as these elephants could live in water.
Upon seeing that, the three kids were dumbfounded.
"What the fuck?!"
"Damn it! It must be that guy from earlier!"
"How did he do that?"
"It's your fault, Jacob! You asked him to get lost rudely, so he did this!"
"Fuck! I'll find him!"
Naturally, John scurried away using Umbral Drift quickly while laughing internally. 'Eat shit, stinky brat.'
He then sacrificed the cores and got Xhal Drops.
'Nice, the two elephants' cores gave ten Xhal Drops.'
The better one gave him six Xhal Drops, while the other gave him four.
Total Xhal Drops: 328
Still, a long way to go before reaching 1000, but the day had just begun.
After crossing so distance, he summoned Alfred and continued to explore in another direction.
Moreover, John had a thought. 'The Monsters beco smaller and weaker when I absorb their cores...but when they evolve and change their fundantal structures, they retain their physical prowess.'
'Monster Geno Art removal destroys all the progress... but when Monsters evolve, they retain their stats, and when removing their cores, they lose them.'
'Their cores are connected to their complete foundation, so if Monster Geno Arts are created based on Monsters, why do we lose all accumulated strength after losing Monster Geno Art's nexus?' John frowned. 'There has to be another way. Monsters' physical prowess is tied to their cores, but ours isn't'...
John looked at Alfred and got an idea.
"Hey, buddy. Stop on a good and big branch and let's get so rest. I want to check sothing."
