Overlord Tamer: All My Pet Monsters Have God Potential Chapter 136: The Gifts (5/5), Limited Service
’Yeah, that expression Mr. Sirius made showed he didn’t appreciate it as much as he didn’t expected it.’
’Nothing else is on his mind. He wants Mr. Sirius to fuck his daughter to get a powerful heir with innate talents that Mr. Sirius’s blood may develop.’
’Of course, he is still after that Velcrath couple’s girl Azelis for that Naless Blade soul talent.’
Naturally, the talks here excluded Loren from this conversation.
"After much consideration, I have made my decision," John slowly said as he swept his eyes over the group while smiling.
"My first custor shall be..."
Everyone held their breaths.
"The Duraian family."
Arion Duraian’s eyes lit up.
"Thank you, Mr. Sirius. It will be our pleasure doing business with you."
"Congrats, Arion." Dazmira was the first one to speak.
The others also followed up.
’Humph. In the end, he chose the most valuable gift,’ Loren said with a snort, relaying to the other ten representatives at the table.
’I wouldn’t say the clay is the most valuable, but in terms of ranking potential, it is highest among the other gifts,’ Zoi Jadelight remarked.
’Indeed. In terms of value, our Blazebound sect and Stormjade pavilion had better gifts.’
"Mr. Sirius. Would you like to visit our estate and wait there until my father arrives with the gift?"
John casually waved his hand. "No need. I prefer my venue, this floating island, for rest and business both. Speaking of business..."
John turned to the Dreamforged Guild’s representative, Aren Veiryn. "I have accepted the painting of those two trapped Monsters, but taking it for free leaves a bad taste in my mouth."
"To make it equal, I would like to provide my special service to you," John said with a smile.
Everyone was surprised.
Special service?
"The special service is evolving your monster with a 100% success rate, be it ranking up to Silver, Gold, or Sovereign rank," John continued speaking, with a confident tone in his voice. "And your Monster’s potential will 100% be one or two ranks higher than its current rank."
Everyone was shocked.
"R-really?!" Aren stamred as he spoke. "Like 100% success rate?"
The most pressing thing for Emperor-rank Tars was to evolve their Pets to Sovereign-rank without hiccups.
After all, Emperor-rank Tars could have Sovereign-rank Pets if they evolve and rank up their Emperor-rank Pets. Though the number of one-rank higher Pets a tar could keep depended on how much soul pressure their soul could handle, Emperor-rank Tars could at least keep one pet Monster of Sovereign-rank.
While so rare ones could keep two.
"Mr. Sirius. What should we do to buy that service of yours?" Zevak of Magnus Coin Consortium somberly asked.
"Unfortunately, this service is very limited," John replied with a helpless smile. "You see, it’s related to an artifact I have. It can show the evolution paths of a monster, but only for one Monster every thirty days."
"I haven’t used the current attempt yet, which I was going to use to evolve one of my Sovereign-rank Pets to Legendary-rank, so I shall offer it to Mr. Aren there. For the duration that I am here, I won’t require Legendary-rank Pets as I can’t summon them here anyway."
[ Jibril: John is pulling out big guns to bamboozle these big forces. ]
Azelis laughed.
[ Azelis: It’s fun to watch them like that. ]
"Mr. Sirius, since our gifting has concluded and you have chosen your first custor, we have a small suggestion if you don’t mind."
"What is it?"
"You see, since you said you were looking for an apprentice, we have brought the best kids of our forces," Spiritveil Sect representative, Kaelen Gozen, said with a grin. "Why don’t you take a look at them?"
All those kids below twenty years old looked eager.
Naturally, the Lokham family didn’t bring Rakin this ti as he wasn’t the most talented younger generation of the Lockham family, despite being the direct heir.
"Sigh, we had a gem of a young kid that could put others to sha," Executive Rudh said with a sigh. "Unfortunately, we don’t know his current status and location because of the sches of so people."
Saying that, he glanced at Loren Lokham.
"So things are not in our control," Loren said with a wry smile.
’Lying asshole,’ Executive Rudh internally cursed him.
"Well, I did say I am looking for an apprentice, and I have indeed taken a look at the kids you brought," John said with a chuckle. "I have yet to see their combat abilities, so how about a simple all-in brawl?"
"Just fight amongst yourselves. I don’t want to see your Pet Monsters. What I want to see is your individual combat capabilities."
And so, shortly after that, the Emperor-rank Tars arranged a floating ring using so of their Earth or Earth-related attributes, creating an arena.
The kids fought against each other, using their Soul Techniques and Geno Abilities, trying their best.
Injuries were no problem, and all of them were Gold-rank Tars under 20, the talented bunch of these forces.
However, they were not the most talented of their forces, despite what they said, because they obviously wanted to keep the most talented kids to themselves.
The all-in brawl lasted for around ten minutes before John flatly shook his head. "Unfortunately, none of them managed to make the impression I hoped to find."
"Now then, I would like to return to my solo adventure." John smiled and focused his gaze on Arion Duraian. "For our business partnership, we shall conduct our first deal here tomorrow at noon."
"As you wish, Mr. Sirius."
...
Everyone dispersed as they left the floating island.
The mont all of them left, the Island vanished under their eyes.
"He’s gone," Loren muttered.
Suddenly, a few people took out their cards.
"The sect leader returned."
"Ours too."
"Tomorrow, we should co here again with the leaders."
"But not during our ti," Arion said with a snort. "Don’t be nosy while we are doing our business with him."
