John watched as the items were getting auctioned one by one.
After four items were auctioned, what he wanted finally arrived.
Naturally, he wasn’t exactly interested in the said item, but that item was going to be his opening act and he didn’t even know what item it was.
But all he needed was to have a Sovereign-rank item getting auctioned.
"Everyone, our first highlight of this auction is here as the fifth item. It is an invaluable treasure for those seeking to beco a Sovereign-rank Tar despite the dangers involved."
"With this item, the breakthrough to Sovereign-rank is an absolute guarantee."
People began murmuring.
Most of the people didn’t know what it was.
Everyone looked at the stage in anticipation.
The curtains opened and a table trolley with sothing square arrived with a shining white cloth covering it.
The lady walked towards it and while looking at the audience, she pulled the cloth, revealing the item.
"This is the Soul Milk Dew of Sovereign-rank, found by Razorshade Syndicate’s brave Tars who stumbled upon a special dinsional island of Emperor-rank."
Inside the container was a small vial that barely had five drops worth of pure white, dreamy liquid.
"Multiple Emperor-rank Tars have verified this, and the potency of this Soul Milk Dew, as well as its ascertained properties are of Sovereign-rank."
"There are a total of five drops. If one is not enough, you may use the second, but due to its gentle properties, this liquid will not harm Emperor-rank tar’s soul. It will only benefit you, in one way or another as we also don’t know the full capability of this item."
"Without further ado, let’s start the bidding," the lady said with a smile and added. "As you all know, alongside the rare Sovereign Essence Coins, you will also require Emperor-rank or higher ranked items to buy this."
Sovereign Essence Coins were rare since there were not many Spirit Veins of Sovereign-rank. Any ti a Spirit Vein of Sovereign-rank is discovered, the Spirit Crystals inside are mined by one of the top forces.
Any smaller force finding them was useless because first, aside from the major eleven forces, none of the other forces had Emperor-rank Tars, let alone Sovereign-rank Tars.
As such, it was useless to have Sovereign-rank Spirit Crystals for them.
"10,000 Sovereign Essence Coins, 15 Emperor-rank resources, one high-tier Emperor-rank Spirit Armor, and one high-tier Emperor-rank Spirit Weapon!"
A voice resounded from the VIP booth number 18.
John blinked and saw the logo.
[Azelis: That’s Dreamforged Guild. One of the three major organizations. ]
John internally smiled. ’I’ll let them fight for a minute.’
Another booth made a bid, surpassing the previous one.
[Azelis: That’s Magnus Coin Consortium, one of the three major organizations. In terms of resources and other things, they have it most, and their numbers are also the largest.]
And right after that, the Lokham family made a bid.
But Blazebound Sect’s booth made a higher bid as soon as they were finished.
[ Jibril: Wow, it looks like everyone wants that Soul Milk Dew badly. ]
[ Azelis: Of course. That thing is one of the most desirable items. Breaking through to Sovereign-rank is no easy matter. It is the hardest known breakthrough, and failing in it hurts the Tar’s soul and damages them, which could take a long ti to recover. And any Tar who becos Sovereign-rank basically opens the door to the higher world since they would be able to cross the Doom Veil. ]
John blinked, curious. ’Doom Veil?’
[ Azelis: It’s high up in the sky ten thousand kiloters above. I’ve also gone there with Hall Master Varek just like other Emperor-rank Tars from all organizations. To let them know that this was the sky’s limit and touching it ans death for all except for Sovereign-rank Tars.]
[ Jibril: Doesn’t that an the so-called higher-ups live past that Doom Veil? ]
[ Azelis: Yep, that should be the case, but I was never inford. Unless I beco a Sovereign-rank Tar, I won’t know. ]
’We’ll find out later ourselves.’ John grinned. ’For now, it’s ti to make our move.’
"Lockham family is determined! 70,000 Sovereign Essence Coins, one Sovereign-rank Spirit Weapon, and one full Spirit Armor set of high-tier Emperor-rank!"
The lady smashed the hamr on the hamr pad as a clean sound rang in the auction. "Lockham family goes one!"
Spiritveil Sect’s booth.
"Not worth it anymore. We have a higher success rate than others in the first place."
Duraian clan’s booth.
"Tsk, those bastards are going to take it now. Old Ben, are we really unable to buy it?" Duraian family head asked with a frown. "This was my chance to break through."
"I’m afraid that’s our limit for now. The previous family head has gone away with two Sovereign-rank items and we have no news of him yet. We can’t afford to give away a Sovereign-rank item that we have as we only have two now, and both are valuable artifacts."
"Damn it."
"Lockham family goes two!" the lady hit the hamr a second ti.
But right after that, a voice rang in the auction—deep, calm, and filled with indifferent confidence.
"Stop. I shall make a higher bid."
Everyone was confused at first. Which booth made the bid?
But then they saw a man standing up in the front-row seat as he puffed up the cigar before grabbing his hat as his silky and dashing blond hair rested near his shoulder.
"Who is that?" Rakin Lockham asked with a frown. "Did we have a new powerhouse in the Nexus city while I was gone?"
However, Rakin’s father was also confused. Soone from the general seats dared to make a bet against them?
However, when he tried to inspect that person, he failed.
"Strange. I cannot sense anything of him. Not his physical aura, not his soul aura."
The other ten forces’ representatives were also confused and they also failed to inspect anything.
After all, Raaz Te’l mask prevented even Sovereign-ranks from sensing the real aura, let alone Emperor-rank Tars who were present in the booths!
"You are..." the lady asked, puzzled.
John blew the smoke and used his soul energy to transform the smoke as it turned shining crimson. Becoming larger, it went up and shaped into big letters.
Sirius Ravenstar.
The hat disappeared from his hand before he smiled at the lady. "The na is Sirius. I am a passerby from a faraway...land. I decided to join this auction out of interest, personal and business interest."
"But my pet monster just woke up and saw that milk, wanting to drink it. As such, I shall make a higher bid in value."
Everyone was dumbfounded and many felt they heard wrong.
The red-haired lady blinked. "Did you just say you want to give it to your Pet Monster to drink? Even though Pet Monsters usually have utterly low difficulty ranking up to Sovereign-rank?"
She felt like she heard wrong as well.
The auction hall turned deathly silent.
"That’s indeed what I said."
In the next mont, everyone saw a mini-creature appearing on his shoulder as John summoned Volfure Terrorcaster Dragon in its mini-form.
They saw the mysterious vermilion-scaled dragon with glittering violet patterns and erald green spine spikes with sparks in them on its back till its twin tails end.
"A Sovereign-rank Dragon?!"
An exclamation rang out from one of the VIP booths, inciting an uproar from others who couldn’t sense the dragon’s strength.
Everyone was shocked as an uproar occurred in the hall.
In the Lockham family’s booth, Rakin turned to his father. "Is he a Sovereign-rank Tar?"
"Well, so Emperor-rank Tars can have Sovereign-rank Pets as it depends on one’s soul potential, but..." Rakin’s father, Loren Lokham shook his head as the words trailed off.
Rakin’s uncle, Jerry Lokham, who was sitting nearby added. "Rakin, he wants to give that milk to his dragon, so obviously, he is a Sovereign-rank Tar. Otherwise, he would use it for himself."
"An unknown Sovereign-rank Tar passing by who decided to attend the auction for personal and business interest," Loren Lockham said as he narrowed his eyes.
Outside, John said as he rubbed the dragon’s head. "This is my latest Pet Monster, and weaker than my other babies, so I have to spoil her a bit and make her stronger, haha. That milk is to her liking, so she shall have it."
The red-haired lady was tongue-tied, her face speechless.
"Mr. Sirius," coughing once and regaining her bearing, she said. "Please make your bid."
Waving his hand, John took out an item from storage.
An item worth 430k Xhal Drops.
An item of Special-rank.
"This is my bid. An item that cannot be found anywhere except for the place I co from."
It was a black orb with dreamy green and hazy red hues that seed to have a life of their own.
John smiled and continued. "It’s called Death Reversing Lysteron Orb. It works for anyone at Sovereign-rank or below."
"The power of this orb is rather straightforward. If a Sovereign-rank lifeform or below dies, this orb can revive that lifeform and rejuvenate that lifeform’s soul to its perfect quality, and to the possible peak."
"It ans that if an Emperor-rank Tar were to use this orb, that tar could instantly make their soul pristine enough to have an easy breakthrough to Sovereign-rank. The sa applies to Sovereign-rank Tars. I suppose this item is enough for that milk as both have similar effects, but the orb is more valuable and more useful I suppose."
John faintly smiled and threw the orb at the lady, who panicked and hastily used her soul energy to wrap it in a bubble while sweating buckets.
The hall was stunned.
The people VIP booth were stunned.
And then ca doubts as a shout ca from the Lockham family’s booth.
"The effects of that item sound heavenly, but how can we believe that what you are saying is truth?"
John turned around as everyone saw Mr. Sirius clearly for the first ti, a carefree smile on his face.
The won felt their hearts skip a beat while n felt embers of envy.
"How about the Emperor-rank tars or Sovereign-rank if there are any here verify its energy level and try to identify its attributes and their powers as much as possible to ascertain the truth?"
"Or I can also make a Soul Oath I suppose, that I am not lying. I am fine with either thod of verification."
Sensing such confidence, the lady’s hands trembled as she looked at the black orb.
’What the hell?! He is giving away such a valuable item so that his pet monster can drink so milk that won’t even benefit it much?!’
Not just her, but others were also dumbfounded and felt their worldview shattering.
Who was this guy?!
"I-I shall call Emperor-rank Tars and have them appraise this item," the lady said, and contacted so people using a soul card after putting the orb inside a wooden container she took out from her storage ring.
