As she sat up in bed, she felt as if these three days were like a dream.
Instinctively, she got out of bed barefoot.

Aunt Taylor ca out and seeing that Victoria had woken up, she grinned with joy.
Seeing Victoria looking at the carpet, Aunt Taylor walked towards her while saying, “The young master laid this carpet himself. I think it must be because he knows you can’t change your habit of walking barefoot around the house. You should know, a girl’s feet should never be cold.”
“Where… is he?” Victoria asked.
Surprisingly, she didn’t expect to feel a sting in her eyes as she asked this question.
“He must have so important things to handle, otherwise, the young master wouldn’t have left,” Aunt Taylor explained. “These past three days he has never left your side. In the many years I’ve spent at the Johnson’s, I have never seen the young master so concerned about soone.”
Hearing Aunt Taylor’s words, Victoria’s heart filled with an inexplicable sadness.
“Before the Young Master carried you back ho, Dr. Chester was already waiting at the house. Although you didn’t have any serious injuries, you had a persistent fever from the cold. The Young Master refused to let Dr. Chester leave. His pleading tone was like that of a child. It wasn’t until your fever broke last night, that Dr. Chester was allowed to go ho.”

“Miss Garcia, I made so fish congee. It’s light, tender, and delicious. You have to eat more, okay?” Aunt Taylor continued with a smile, “If you continue to eat so little, the young master might dock my pay.”
