Chapter 649: Waiting for You 4 Chapter 649: Waiting for You 4 The doorbell outside Francis Davis’s suite rang at this mont.
“Who is it?” Davis’s assistant asked warily, taking out a gun from behind and placing it next to him as he walked to the door.
A female service staff’s voice ca from outside: “Room service!”
Francis Davis looked at the cara and saw that it was indeed the person in charge of room service, whom he had seen several tis before.
“We didn’t ask for room service today, you can leave!” Despite this, Davis still said cautiously.
However, the female service staff standing outside said, “Could you please open the door? I’ll just drop off these items for you and then leave.”
“I told you, I didn’t call for room service.”
Davis had warned him not to open the door to anyone.
“Actually, since you’ve stayed with us for twenty days, according to our hotel’s rules, we should provide you with our VIP service today, so we’re sorry for the inconvenience. Our service is tied to our performance, so please do us a favor and let deliver the VIP gift. I’ll leave imdiately afterward!”
The service staff couldn’t understand why the person inside wouldn’t open the door.
She also couldn’t understand why the manager suddenly made such a request, as she didn’t rember there being such a VIP service. However, she thought that no one had ever stayed in the best suite for so long.
Maybe it was a new rule.
The female service staff thought.
The manager had been very clear that if she didn’t do this job well, she could quit. She initially thought it would be easy to give away these freebies, but she didn’t expect that she wouldn’t even get let in the door after knocking for so long.
This was really frustrating!
“Mr. Davis, are you still there? Could you please open the door? I just want to deliver a bouquet of flowers, so fruit, and a bottle of red wine to you, nothing else.”
The assistant had been observing the service staff’s expression outside and there seed to be no issue.
He wanted to go in and ask Francis Davis, but was afraid of disturbing him.
“Mr. Davis… can you please open the door?”
However, the assistant insisted on refusing, “We’ve told you, we don’t need it! You can go! And if you press the doorbell again, I’m going to complain about you!”
Hearing such decisive words from inside, the female service staff realized the situation, but she couldn’t say anything more, afraid of being complained about.
If she didn’t complete the manager’s task and got complained about instead, she’d be making a loss.
She had no choice but to push the custor service cart away quietly.
Watching her leave, Davis’s assistant put the gun back behind him once again.
In the surveillance room, Arnold Johnson and Wavy saw the female service staff leave dejectedly without even entering the door, which was a failure.
“It seems that Francis Davis is really guarding against anyone, which ans he should be preparing now.” Wavy’s expression was not good, looking at the ti, there was less than thirty minutes left.
Seeing this, Arnold Johnson couldn’t help but say, “If it can’t be done, then we’ll have to break in. The worst outco would be facing a couple of Peculiar Family mbers.”
For Arnold Johnson, as long as Victoria was safe, he cared for nothing and feared nothing.
Wavy knew his mood at the mont, but he couldn’t help feeling that it would be a sha to give up this great opportunity right now. In the future, the cost of rescuing Victoria would surely be multiple tis more than what they were putting in now.
Not worth it!
