Chapter 645: How many coincidences are there after all 6 Chapter 645: How many coincidences are there after all 6 Is it really just a coincidence? Am I just overthinking things?

Chloe Johnson was unsure for a mont, deciding that she could only wait and see.

“Jas, keep a close watch. Also, send soone to keep a close eye on Alan. Pay close attention to any news from that side.”

“Yes, Young Miss.”

Chloe hung up the phone, wondering if everything was a coincidence, or a planned coincidence.

Southern Breeze mory Dining.

They didn’t book a private room; instead, they sat at separate tables.

Victoria Garcia and Francis Davis shared one table, while Candy Foster and Francis’s assistant sat at another.

“Victoria, I know you can’t hold your liquor. I won’t force you to drink tonight. Let’s just toast with water instead.” With that, Francis raised his cup.

Victoria also picked up the cup beside her and clinked it with his, “I hope everything goes smoothly for the matter you need to handle.”

“I wish for you to find your true love, and may you always be sweet and happy.”

The two drank a few sips.

Francis served food for Victoria, smiling, and said, “I rember you liked tofu when you were little. I just tasted one bite, and the tofu here is quite unique. You should try so.”

The tofu at Southern Breeze mory was indeed well-made, with more layers of flavor than the ho-style version. She couldn’t help but eat a few more bites.

At Candy Foster’s table, they shared the sa dishes.

Though she kept her head down, looking at her phone, Candy’s eyes never strayed from Victoria’s table.

But it was Francis’s assistant who curiously asked, “Miss Foster, what are you looking at that’s so interesting? You even have a smile on your face.”

Candy raised her head when she heard him talking and smiled, “Just looking at so jokes online. I laughed because they were funny.”

“Oh? What’s the joke about?”

Candy looked at her phone and smiled sheepishly, “This one’s a little risqué.”

“Even better! Tell the joke.”

Candy silently cursed in her heart before smiling and saying, “Don’t bla for being dirty—it’s the joke that’s dirty.”

With an eager look on his face, Candy had no choice but to read from her phone, “Two won are taking a bath, guess the na of a drink.”

“What drink is it?”

Candy bluntly replied, “You have to guess. It’s no fun if I just say it, right?”

After saying that, Candy picked up a dish and started eating by herself.

Still, she noticed from the corner of her eye that Francis placed sothing in both of their water cups. She didn’t know what it was, but it felt off to Candy.

She picked up her phone and sent a text ssage to Arnold Johnson.

Arnold only replied with two words: “Leave now!”

Seeing the ssage, Candy sent a text to Alan.

Soon after, Alan’s phone call ca through, and Candy answered it in front of Francis’s assistant. Alan spoke urgently, “Candy Foster, there’s been an accident at your house. Your mother just had a car accident, and she’s being resuscitated at the hospital. You need to co quickly.”

“Okay, I’ll be right there!”

Candy stood up like a woman possessed, not even glancing at the assistant. Instead, she went straight to Victoria, tears streaming down her face before she even managed to speak, “General Garcia, my mother had a car accident and is in the hospital. I need to hurry up and get there. As soon as the person coming to cover my shift arrives, I’ll leave, alright?”

At that mont, the tears silently flowed down Candy’s cheeks, and she seed completely distraught, making everyone around her feel heartbroken and uncomfortable.
