Arnold shook his head, “I know you don’t like being followed or monitored, so how could I do such a thing? Even if I wanted to, I would need your permission.”
Victoria waited for his explanation.
“When I arrived at the company, I missed you and wanted to ask if you had arrived, so I called you and found the line was busy,” Arnold looked at her as he continued, “At the ti, I didn’t think much of it. I waited five minutes and called again, only to find it still busy.”
“When I called again five minutes later and your phone was still occupied, I asked Candy Foster to find you. She discovered that neither you nor your car were at the company, and I had a bad feeling. So, I imdiately had soone locate your phone and found out that you were leaving the city and your phone line was still occupied. Therefore, I imdiately sent soone to rush over.”
Even now, Arnold still felt a lingering fear.
“Do you know? I was scared the whole way. If sothing really happened to you, what would I do?” The re thought of this possibility still left Arnold’s heart in shock.
After hearing this, Victoria imdiately hugged him back, “I’m fine now, right? Maybe I really have a strong fate, and my life wasn’t ant to end like this.”
“Regardless of whether Edward Hernandez has any ulterior motives or if he’s the one who hypnotized you, when he saved your life, I felt that everything else didn’t matter. After all, as long as you’re alive, that’s my greatest relief,” Arnold revealed his true feelings.
Victoria couldn’t help but ask, “If Edward Hernandez really is that person, would you let him go?”
Arnold had always thought of capturing this man and making him suffer the worst possible torture, but what if it really was Edward Hernandez?
“Considering that he saved your life, I would give him a chance to live. But if he still doesn’t repent, then I won’t hesitate, because nothing is more precious to than you,”
