Victoria could understand and empathize with such emotional turmoil.
She had experienced similar situations before, but her relationship with Arnold Johnson was even more complicated. Thus, the developnt of their feelings had been quicker and easier for her to grasp.
Victoria placed her sister’s head on her shoulder, gently advising, “Since you can’t figure this out yet, don’t think about it. Both of you are still young, and the future holds endless possibilities. There’s no need to rush.”
“Yeah, I understand.” Leaning against her sister’s embrace, Evelyn felt warmth in her heart.
Victoria couldn’t tell if her sister truly understood or just pretended to, or perhaps she temporarily didn’t want to face the issue.
Victoria thought that if it were her, she probably wouldn’t want to confront it either. So things couldn’t be rushed; only ti could prove everything.
In contrast to the peaceful and warm atmosphere in the Garcia sisters’ room, Frank Johnson’s room was filled with the sll of cigarette smoke.
Seeing that Frank had woken up, both Grand Lady Johnson and Great Madam felt relieved.

She knew very well that her son would feel disgusted and even turn against her if he heard such words.
Samantha didn’t want to end up like Grand Lady Johnson, estranged from her son. There were many ways to deal with a woman she disliked, but she couldn’t let her son know she would target the one he loved.
