At this mont, Arnold and Victoria felt an overflowing sense of happiness because they were cooking dinner together.
“Why did you think of cooking braised pork rice for ?” Victoria asked him.
“Because it’s delicious!” Arnold’s answer was straightforward and clear.
“The steak you made was also delicious. Why didn’t you offer to make that for ?” Victoria continued to inquire.
“Because you’ve had the steak already, but you haven’t had the braised pork rice!” Arnold patiently explained.
“What else can you make that’s delicious?” Victoria asked again.
“I have so many recipes. Do you want to try them?”
Upon hearing this, Victoria nodded eagerly, like a little chick pecking at the ground. Before, she had been the one to cook most of the ti. But now, having soone to please her and cook for her felt simply wonderful!
“You’d better be prepared to cook for the rest of your life then, because there are so many dishes that I can’t even rember them all.”
“I knew it! You’re such a sweet talker!” Victoria rolled her eyes.
Arnold laughed, “You’re quite smart this ti, not using the word ‘deceive’!”
“Do you think I’ve been with you for so long without learning anything?” Victoria snorted.
Arnold gently scraped a little starch onto her nose and said, “Even if I’m sweet-talking you, I plan to do so for the rest of my life. Are you happy?”
