Chapter 171: If I treat you like this too, 2 Chapter 171: If I treat you like this too, 2 Victoria Garcia looked away, knowing from his tone that she had stirred his emotions once again.

Why couldn’t he let go after all this ti?

“I’m not afraid of you,” Victoria turned back and looked him straight in the eyes, telling him.

Yet Alexander Mitchell stubbornly asked her, “If you’re not afraid of , why do you keep dodging at every turn?”

Victoria remained silent, for she had indeed been avoiding eting up with him, but in her eyes, this was only being responsible for herself and his relationship with Arnold Johnson.

She wasn’t an ungrateful woman, and since she had made her decision, she should not be entangled with the past.

Alexander said he wanted to be friends, but they both knew the truth of that friendship.

When they were apart, Alexander might have thought so, but once they t up, his affectionate gaze was so obvious even a blind man could see it, let alone her.

Victoria looked at him and said bluntly, “If you insist on saying I’m afraid of you, then yes, I am a little afraid.”

“What part?” Alexander asked eagerly, reacting quickly, “Are you afraid that I’ll keep pestering you?”

“I’m afraid your mories of us aren’t clean enough,” she said, not dodging the question, her eyes clear and devoid of any hidden emotions.

Alexander felt as if soone had thrown a bomb at him, leaving him with nowhere to hide.

“If I say yes, would you just turn around and walk out the door?” Alexander asked her.

Victoria shook her head and smiled, saying, “I ca here to talk about an issue with the proposal.”

Obviously, Victoria didn’t want to talk about the past anymore.

But Alexander couldn’t escape it, the tornt of every night exploded at this mont.

“If I tell you that as long as you agree to stay by my side, I’ll help you pass this proposal,” Alexander said, staring at her intently, his tone growing heavier.

“Alexander, this isn’t a child’s ga,” Victoria had no choice but to be more serious in the face of his anger.

Alexander waved his hand in exasperation, saying, “I don’t care, I just want you to co back to , whatever others can give you, I’ll earn for you one thing at a ti.”

Facing this side of Alexander, Victoria found herself at a loss once more.

The more she feared sothing like this happening, the quicker it seed to happen.

Alexander approached her, walking up to her face, reaching out to grasp her fingers, while Victoria stepped back quickly to avoid him.

Her movents once again touched his sensitive nerve.

“Back then, he threatened you with his superior conditions, now it’s my turn,” Alexander’s eyes flashed with fierceness.

Between his words, Victoria understood what he ant.

“I thought you understood, but now it seems you still don’t understand where the problem lies,” Victoria replied angrily.

Alexander wasn’t blind to the problem, he just couldn’t stop thinking about her.

He stubbornly insisted, “Can you honestly say you never miss ? We had so many beautiful mories, can you just forget them on command?”

Victoria didn’t want to give him that answer, she just responded indirectly, “I already have soone by my side, and as for us, we can never go back.”

“What never happened before won’t happen in the future,” Victoria bit the last sentence hard, “To put it bluntly, our relationship can be summarized as destined to et but not fated to be.”
