“What if the person he wants you to kill is ? Will you kill ?” Grayson Thomas stared at her intensely, not missing any of her expressions.
Hannah Garcia knew this was a possibility.
Just like Jolson had told her before, the person she was supposed to kill could very well be Grayson Thomas.
However, she finally allowed herself a sliver of wishful thinking, believing that out of all the people in the world, it couldn’t possibly be her God, Grayson Thomas.
“It can’t be you, it won’t be you,” Hannah Garcia’s heart still clung to that thread of hope.
“But what if it really is ?” Grayson Thomas pressed her for an answer, his gaze unwavering.
Hannah Garcia took two uncertain steps back.
“God, if it really is you, I an if, I won’t kill you. I would rather die myself than let you or Joyce and Jonathan be hard,” Hannah Garcia said, feeling the unwavering conviction in her heart as she spoke.
Perhaps she had hesitated before, but everything was changing, and any such hesitation had long since faded from her heart.
