Eric Collins’s face visibly changed.

“Although people outside don’t know about his condition, there are those in the family who do know what’s going on. Now that you’re pregnant, the Second Branch will be the first to doubt the child’s identity,” Eric Collins said with furrowed brows.
“Harry Collins said he wouldn’t pursue my affairs outside, claiming that everyone will believe that all of this is legitimate because he said the child was conceived through test tube procedures,” Mia revealed Harry’s words to Eric Collins in advance.
Having heard this, it all made sense to Eric Collins.
Still, there were risks involved.
But he had to admit it was indeed a good plan.
“So, if the child you’re carrying isn’t a son, is Harry going to have the child aborted?” Eric Collins asked sharply.
Mia nodded and said, “I think… Perhaps Harry just wants a son to continue his lineage.”
“Hmph! He’s not just thinking about continuing his lineage; what he’s really after is inheriting the Collins Group. I’m not even dead yet, and here he is, harboring such plans. If this child isn’t mine, isn’t he giving the Collins Group to soone of uncertain origin?” In a burst of anger, Eric Collins spoke without much consideration.
After he finished speaking, he realized his words might have hurt Mia’s feelings, and quickly tried to comfort her, “I’m not blaming you. I’m just discussing a possibility.”
However, Mia just smiled and reassured him in return, “Dad, I won’t overthink it. Besides, the child I’m carrying is still of the Collins lineage. Even if one day Harry hands everything over to this child, that child will still be our son, right?”
