Two grown n sat there, seemingly calm, but only they knew the true state of their inner calm.
The two doctors arrived one after the other to Young Master and Richard Robinson’s sides.
Although different doctors delivered the test results, the outco was the sa for both: The DNA matched, confirming that the children were the Young Master’s sons.
Upon seeing these results, Robert Taylor naturally gave up hope, knowing the doctor he brought was one he trusted implicitly. The consistent results verified that these children indeed were not Robert’s.
After the doctors left, Robert Taylor and the Young Master faced each other.
Before the Young Master could speak, Robert broke the silence, “Young Master, since the children are yours, how would you like to handle this?”
“I want to take the children and raise them myself, and I hope Robinson will continue to assist with this favor,” the Young Master said calmly.
Richard had no objections to him taking the children back, but there were so things he needed to clarify, “If that’s the case, Young Master can take the children away at any ti. Also, I would like the Young Master to reveal who the mother of Robert Taylor’s supposed sons is.”
Richard’s request was not at all unreasonable.
Now, the Collins Family probably also wanted to find out who the father of Gwen Collins’s son was.
“Second Miss of the Collins Family, Gwen Collins,” the Young Master spoke softly.
Hearing it was soone from the Collins Family, Richard didn’t show much change on the surface; he was well aware of the century-old marriage arrangent between the Collins Family and Thomas Family.
Rosalind Collins, the eldest daughter of the Collins Family, was the one expected to marry Kenton Thomas. Gwen probably intended to leapfrog Rosalind and make herself the mother of Kenton Thomas’s child, the future Madam of Thomas Family.
Apparently, she was no good!
“Regarding the mother of these two children…”
The Young Master cut him off before he could finish speaking, “I have no interest in the children’s mother, nor have I ever considered marrying her.”
This remark took on a different aning for Richard.
He assud the Young Master didn’t want to marry the children’s mother for a simple reason: he would continue to marry a daughter from Collins Family, knowing that without such a marriage, he wouldn’t qualify to inherit the position of Master of Thomas Family.
Obviously, the children’s mother coming forward would have so impact on the Young Master.
“Rest assured, the children’s mother will never co forward,” Richard said with an unsettling smile.
This statent reached the Young Master’s ears and inevitably made him contemplate its implications.
The so-called “never coming forward” – did that an the mother was already dead? Given Richard’s ruthless character, such an action was surely within the realm of possibility.
However, to the Young Master, it seed too cruel.
But what was done was done, and there wasn’t anything he could investigate further.
“That’s for the best, then. We can let Young Master Robinson off the hook here,” the Young Master said indifferently.
The two n shook hands as if they had reached a tacit agreent, bidding each other farewell.
The Young Master took the pair of children straight from Richard’s side.
Looking at the Dragon-Phoenix twins before him, small yet incredibly fair-skinned, both sound asleep, he could see their eyelashes were both dense and long.
Suddenly, the Young Master wanted to know what it would be like when the two opened their eyes.
Would they look like him?
Staring at these two little figures, the Young Master suddenly found it miraculous that he could discern the distinct features of these two babies.
