50: Revised: Chapter 50 Exposing the Deception

As they were talking, they heard police sirens blare, and both the Chicken Farm Director and Brother Liu panicked.

“Who the hell called the police!” the director shouted.

Imdiately, he rembered that only Wu Xiaoyu had just made a phone call, so he cursed at him, “Damn it!

You little bastard, how dare you call the police?”

Wu Xiaoyu feigned innocence and said, “Isn’t this Brother Liu a police officer?

Why are you afraid of calling the police!”

At this point, the director had no ti for banter, quickly shoving Brother Liu into the car, and said:

“Hurry and get out of those clothes and run!

If you get caught, insist you did it alone.

I’ll take care of your wife and kids!”

However, before he could start the car, the police vehicle rushed in, blocking his way.

Four uniford police officers stepped out of the police car and stood at Brother Liu’s car door, showing their badges, and said:

“We’re police officers.

We received a report that soone here is impersonating a police officer.

Please present your police badge!”

Brother Liu, who was a fake police officer, was caught red-handed and was already shaking with fear, yet he clung to a shred of hope and stamred, “I…

I didn’t…

didn’t bring it!”

The officer blocking the car door asked again, “Then please state your officer number!”

“I…

I…

I forgot!”

Listening to the exchange between the real and fake police officers, the Chicken Farm Director was already drenched in sweat, standing there staring blankly, not daring to intervene.

Another officer walked over, saluted the group, and asked, “Who is Wu Xiaoyu here?”

Wu Xiaoyu stepped forward and explained everything to the police officer.

Brother Liu, left speechless by the questioning, directly confessed to impersonating an officer but did not implicate the Chicken Farm Director.

The director, relieved, gratefully said to the police officer beside Wu Xiaoyu, “Officer, thank you very much!

Otherwise, we would have been deceived by this man!”

Though Wu Xiaoyu had already guessed they were in on it, since Brother Liu didn’t confess, there was nothing anyone could do.

The director, who thought he had narrowly escaped trouble, didn’t have ti to rejoice before the officer said, “You are now suspected of using violence and threats to coerce others into purchasing unwanted goods.”

“You will be detained for five to ten days and fined between 200 and 500 yuan.

Do you have any objections?”

Hearing that he was going to be arrested, the director quickly retorted, “I did not force anyone to buy anything!

You must be mistaken…

mistaken!”

Wu Xiaoyu heard his argunt and said, “Just now, when I wanted to buy chicks, didn’t you insist I also buy chicken feed?

When I refused, you wouldn’t let

leave and even got the security to beat .

Isn’t that the truth!”

The woman who had been shelling sunflower seeds earlier originally thought he was just a rural bumpkin, like those who ca from villages, timid and afraid.

She planned to force the feed on him, but unexpectedly, he not only refused but injured the security guard who ca to threaten him.

The director then resorted to his old trick, having Brother Liu pretend to be a police officer to extort money from him privately.

Unexpectedly, this guy reported to the police, causing himself to be detained?

He quickly explained:

“Brother Wu, you can’t say that!

I didn’t have the security guard beat you!

When I ca out of the office building, I saw you had already knocked them to the ground.

As for what happened in between, I really don’t know!”

Seeing him still trying to argue, Wu Xiaoyu angrily said, “Without your permission, would they dare to harm people?

Aren’t you the boss here?”

Just as the officer was about to continue questioning him, the director walked over to the man who had received Wu Xiaoyu earlier and scolded:

“Old Five, isn’t this your doing?

How many tis have I told you that we must serve every custor with a smile.

How could you let the security co over and attack him?”

Old Five was about to refute when he saw the director signaling him constantly.

Rembering the director’s promises, he lowered his head and said slowly, “Boss, I’m sorry.

I shouldn’t have been so rash, it was my fault!”

After finishing, he walked up to Wu Xiaoyu, bowed, and apologized, “Mr.

Wu, I’m sorry.

Because of my personal motives, you were wronged.

I am truly sorry.

Please forgive my ignorance!”

Damn it!

Is this even real?

Money really can make soone do whatever they want!

Seeing him say this, the police quickly pressed, “Are you willing to take responsibility for your words?

You should know that forced buying and selling can get you five days of administrative detention!”

Old Five, with a face full of regret, said, “I’m sorry, I was wrong!

I did sothing I shouldn’t have to earn more commission!

I apologize to Mr.

Wu and my boss!”

The police didn’t believe him, but without evidence, and since it didn’t constitute a cri, they couldn’t say more.

Instead, they continued to inquire about the fake police officer incident with the farm director, asking why the fake cop ca over, who notified him, and if there was anyone behind it.

After much questioning, both the director and Brother Liu insisted they didn’t know each other.

Brother Liu claid he only wore the police uniform to get so water.

Helplessly, the police had to take these people to the station to record statents.

Wu Xiaoyu followed them to the police station, but by noon, nothing substantial had co out.

After having lunch near the police station, Wu Xiaoyu was about to go back in for more information when he saw the Chicken Farm Director coming out, smiling at him, and said:

“Brother Wu, why didn’t you ntion you were Director Ma’s friend?

If you had said so earlier, none of this would’ve happened!”

He had just gone out for lunch when the director at the station had already unearthed his background, showing he had so connections.

As the saying goes, better to offend a gentleman than a villain, Wu Xiaoyu couldn’t be bothered with such a person, so he turned to leave.

But he hadn’t walked a few steps when this guy caught up again, humbly saying, “Brother Wu, I apologize, it was my mistake!”

Wu Xiaoyu stopped and frowned, “Then tell the police!

What’s the point of telling

this!”

“What you said!

If I told the police, wouldn’t I be making trouble for myself?

Weren’t you here to raise chickens?

To express my apology, I’ll give you a thousand chicks for free, how about that?” The director said with a fawning smile.

Seeing that this guy had so background and had smoothed things over with his subordinates, Wu Xiaoyu knew getting him detained wasn’t possible.

Instead of letting him off, he might as well make him bleed a little.

“Alright then!

If you say so, I won’t decline!

This afternoon around 4 pm, have three thousand two-month-old chicks ready, and I’ll co to supervise and take them with !” Wu Xiaoyu said plainly.

“Three thousand??” The director felt heartache, as it took him a long ti to reluctantly agree to give away a thousand.

“What’s wrong?

Is three thousand too few?”

“No…

no…

I’ll arrange it right away!

Arrange it right away!”
