"Julian Ford."

Scarlett Shaw t his gaze, her reddened eyes revealing anger.

"Why do you think I should listen to you? I hate your superiority complex."

Julian Ford raised an eyebrow, "Are you sure it’s hate?"

Scarlett Shaw: "..."

Whether it was in terms of status or emotions, she was indeed at a disadvantage in front of him.

But being at a disadvantage doesn’t an she has to obey him blindly and be at his beck and call.

Moreover, he had already humiliated her in the hotel room; regardless of his reasons, she didn’t want to be alone with him anymore.

Since she had already recklessly admitted she liked him, it ant she was ready to sever all unclear ties with him from now on.

Besides, Julian Ford was engaged, yet he shalessly and unabashedly kept making advances.

It was clear this man had never once considered her situation and feelings.

Jasper Spencer was a straightforward person.

Although he habitually clashed with Julian Ford, having just been caught doing sothing guilty made him freeze awkwardly, staying silent.

And he, who usually acted on instinct, felt a bit weird at that mont, like he was ddling in family affairs.

Scarlett Shaw glanced at Jasper Spencer’s helpless expression, suddenly pulled hard, and slamd the passenger door shut with a bang.

The expected tallic sound didn’t ring out; instead, a dull thud was heard.

Julian Ford’s hand was still resting on the door fra, motionless.

Scarlett Shaw instinctively looked up, her gaze scanned his trapped, long fingers, the pale fingertips tinged with purple, just looking made one feel pain.

He seed completely unaware, calmly looking at her, "Get out of the car."

Scarlett Shaw truly slamd the door hard.

And truly didn’t expect Julian Ford to remain so calmly insane.

Her gaze swept over his fingertips, her heart trembling slightly.

The hand on the door handle gradually clenched.

The two remained in a deadlock, one seemingly immune to pain, ignoring the injury to his fingers, the other lowering her eyes, emotions indiscernible, yet showed no intent to give up and get out.

Jasper Spencer, being a professional racer, naturally valued and protected his hands.

Even if the other party was Julian Ford, whom he extrely disliked.

Besides, on the racetrack, Jasper Spencer still acknowledged the amateur skills of Julian Ford.

Watching him disregard his fingers stirred a slight compassion in Jasper Spencer, who stepped forward and pulled Julian Ford’s arm away.

At the sa mont, Scarlett Shaw slamd the car door with a bang, moved to the driver’s seat.

Jasper Spencer’s car was temporarily parked, not yet turned off.

Scarlett Shaw directly stepped on the gas.

The engine roared loudly on the quiet street, the sports car speeding away dashingly and dramatically.

Jasper Spencer left behind, eating dust: "..."

"You’re quite good at interfering."

Julian Ford shook off Jasper Spencer’s hand, straightened his clothes, and glanced at him disdainfully.

Jasper Spencer snorted, "If I hadn’t pulled you away, do you believe Scarlett Shaw would’ve broken your hand?"

Whether Scarlett Shaw would have actually broken Julian Ford’s hand was unknown.

But this statent clearly walked on the razor’s edge.

Julian Ford coldly glanced at him, "Even with one hand broken, I can still beat you in racing."

Really should have crushed him to death.

Jasper Spencer thought exasperatedly.

In their early twenties, he and Julian Ford often competed on the racetrack. If Jasper Spencer sought psychological thrills in extre sports, Julian Ford seed not to care about his life at all.

This man always appeared indifferent, carefree, with a sense of calm control over everything.

Yet beneath that indifference, there was a coldness disregarding his own life.

Jasper Spencer: "I just don’t get it, what do you an with Scarlett Shaw. You’re engaged yourself, why cling to the young girl?"

"Your inability to understand is usual; understanding would be abnormal."

Julian Ford’s mood was extrely bad, his words harsher than usual.

"Zoe Sutton is married now, yet I see you happily being her lapdog, liking it so much, go lick her husband’s boots, don’t bark in front of ."

The words were simply —

Extrely hurtful and even more insulting.

Jasper Spencer burned with rage, ntally cursing a thousand tis, yet never won a verbal fight against Julian Ford.

So he could only angrily say, "I agreed to handle matters for Zoe because I can’t let go of my feelings for her. I’m willing to admit it. But you, Julian Ford, why are you troubling Scarlett Shaw then? Just bored?"

Julian Ford’s expression darkened, ignoring him.

And walked towards the hotel.

Jasper Spencer was at the height of his verbal rant, followed him, "I bet your own intentions towards Scarlett Shaw, even you can’t admit them. Julian Ford, you’re really a headless fly and a coward."

Julian Ford glanced at him lightly, unfazed, "Instead of wasting ti on this nonsense, how about focusing on the task Zoe Sutton gave you? You ssed it up; how will you explain it to her? Don’t let her be disappointed and beg others, humiliating herself."

"..."

The elevator doors closed, separating them.

Jasper Spencer choked up, miserable.

His phone inconveniently buzzed twice at that mont.

It was a ssage from Zoe Sutton, saying: Jasper, please handle the matter urgently.

Jasper Spencer replied irritably: Can’t be any faster.

Zoe Sutton: I asked you yesterday, today I ask again, even if there’s no progress, your attitude has changed, you really have.

You be soone else’s boss!

Jasper Spencer raised his hand abruptly, the phone smashed to the ground, screen shattered.

Honestly, even he felt, he was acting quite despicably now.

More despicable than Julian Ford!

Damn!

He’s done!

Jasper Spencer strode out, reaching the hotel entrance, when the manager stopped him, smiling with a hint of displeasure, saying: "Sir, please pick up your trash."

"..."

Impulsive as he was, Jasper Spencer was still brave enough to take responsibility, abide by laws, with a hint of traditional virtues.

He silently turned back, bent over to pick up his phone, apologized, then left the hotel.

His shattered screen resembled chrysanthemum petals as it lit up. Jasper Spencer opened the ssage, stunned.

It was a line from Yana Yarrow: I told my family, our blind date is off, no need to et again in the future.

Jasper Spencer frowned and sent a question mark back.

A red exclamation mark appeared next to the question mark.

He’d been blocked.
