But right now, Ye Mu herself felt vividly alive.

Ye Mu froze before whispering, “Can you get off of ?”
Mo Linyuan gave her an unfriendly gaze.
“I’m going to run out of breath if you keep kissing .” She paused, then added embarrassingly, “It’s true! If you don’t believe , just feel how fast my heart is beating!”
Seeing how honest she was, Mo LInyuan couldn’t help but snort.
He then sat up and gave her space to breathe, “Silly girl, how can you be so cute?” So cute, that he could never truly get enough of her.
Ye Mu froze again. She stuttered, “I-It’s gotten pretty quiet outside. Should we go and take a look?”
Mo Linyuan nodded his head. He took out a cloak and placed it over Ye Mu. He then got out of bed and personally helped Ye Mu wear her shoes.
Ye Mu was overwheld by his actions and instinctively wanted to pull her feet back, but Mo Linyuan stubbornly held onto them.
“If you don’t behave, I’ll bring you back to bed and we’ll do sothing fun instead…”
Ye Mu imdiately obeyed and stopped moving.
Mo Linyuan shook his head helplessly. After putting on her shoes, he then put on his clothes and took her outside.
As Mo Linyuan brought Ye Mu out of the room, the people outside found it rather shocking, but also unsurprising at the sa ti. For many years, Mo Linyuan had always guarded Ye Mu from the public’s eyes; everyone knew what she ant to him.
Countless n in black kneeled outside in front of the palace court. Although most of the corpses were dragged away, the sll of blood perated the air. There were still twenty to thirty rebels that were kept alive.

The leader of the rebels was forced to kneel on the ground, but he was still arrogant and unyielding, refusing to admit defeat.
Ye Mu raised her head to take a glimpse at Mo Linyuan. The palace lanterns revealed Mo Linyuan’s exquisite profile, cold and icy like night dew droplets. His hair was wet from the drizzling rain, but it never got into his eyes.

He didn’t want to interrogate these people in front of Ye Mu. Although he knew that Ye Mu wasn’t a weak woman who can’t handle bloodshed, he wanted to pamper her like a princess.
He never wanted to see her protecting him anymore like when they were young. She should be pampered and act as insensibly as she wished without worry. She shouldn’t have to face the strong wind and pouring rain nor think about these complicated issues.
With a wave of his hand, he signaled the imperial guards to take them away.
But the leader of the rebel was still unwilling to be dismissed, and continued to shout, “You despicable emperor! You killed your father and little sister in cold blood! You disregard etiquettes! You are lustful and immoral! You make despise righteous people! Just you wait, God will punish you one day! There will co a ti when a true emperor will co to save our Mo country!”
After yelling, the man fiercely banged his head against a mystical beast statue. However, he was stopped by a guard at the last mont.
