Chapter 106 – Visiting In Laws (1)
Ye Mu was silent for so ti.
“Every ti I see her…I can’t help but think back to the ti when she blocked the sword for .”
Yan Xu looked at the woman inside the coffin, eyes as deep as the ocean, with a sad smile plastered on his pale face.
“As she hugged , the sword cruelly stabbed into her back and through my body. When the blade’s tip pierced into my flesh, it even carried my mother’s warmth together…”
He tilted his head a fraction towards her, “Do you know what? I have never experienced a mont where blood is thicker than water, other than that particular ti.”
Just thinking about that scene, Ye Mu’s heart felt a little heavy. Before dying, she had truly wanted to hug her own son for the last ti. That kind of maternal love was truly indescribable.
“Later on, every ti I would have a nightmare, it would be a frightening dream of that mont; the place where the sword had pierced my chest would rot—a hideous flesh becoming one with . And the pain would continue all the way down to my heart…”
After he finished speaking, he fully looked at Ye Mu.
What was strange was that after Ye Mu had engraved that unsightly drawing of a turtle on the scar of his chest, he suddenly stopped having those kinds of nightmare. But he did not tell Ye Mu of this.
Ye Mu stood in front of the coffin with a solemn expression on her young face. Just when Yan Xu thought that Ye Mu would comfort him, Ye Mu raised her head to look at him and spoke seriously.
“If, and I an if–”
“Yes?”
“If one day soone wants to kill you…you should strip off your clothes and let them see the turtle on your chest. It might save your life!”
Ka cha! It was like her statent broke the grave mood in the cellar. In such a passionate mont, she had the guts to joke around. Honestly speaking, Yan Xu thought that what she said deserves a beating!
The veins on his forehead bulged! What kind of crazy fool was he, to bring Ye Mu in and tell her about his past, showing her his vulnerability in the process?!
He really wanted to beat her up, but when he saw Ye Mu’s small arms and legs, he held back and lifted her by her back collar as he walked out of the cellar.
Ye Mu did not understand the reason for his anger, “Hey! Hey! Be reasonable–I’m saving you!”
“Shut up!”
“…I am serious.”
Can he cut this baby into pieces?!
As soon as they ca out, Ye Mu felt the warm current flow against her skin; much warr than the underground chill. Being carried so casually like a ragdoll by Yan Xu, she was slowly accustod to the feeling of weightlessness as her feet hanged in the air.
It was truly awkward…
“You are not allowed to tell anyone else about this place!” Yan Xu coldly commanded.
“Oh…”
Who would be interested in a corpse? Ye Mu thought to herself.
After she was put down, she touched her neck. “Hey, since you’re so mad at , can I leave now?”
She took a few steps back, ready to depart.
“No way!” The more Yan Xu looked at Ye Mu, the crosser he felt, but he still couldn’t find it in him to let her go. “Ti’s up, let’s go eat!”
“You can’t?!” Ye Mu was shocked! And she imdiately said, “I will have indigestion if I eat with you! ”
…It was truly better to just squish this little thing to death!
Yet, an hour later, they were finally seated at a dining table.
Ye Mu had a bitter expression on her face. The delicious al in front of her had instantly lost all its appeal due to the human ice mountain sitting next to her.
“Big brother, why are you following ?”
Yan Xu did not answer and picked up his chopsticks to eat.
With a huff, Ye Mu poked the rice with her chopsticks. “Uncle, if you keep making a grumpy face, you’ll get old!”
Yan Xu heavily dropped his chopstick on the table with a solemn look.
“If you won’t eat then you shouldn’t talk.”
Ye Mu: “…”
As taciturn Mo Linyuan, even he would chat with her during als.
“Uncle…” she started.
Yan Xu imdiately shot her a sharp look!
“Don’t!” Ye Mu raised her hands in surrender. “I saw that you were in a bad mood when you ca to distu-visit today. Besides, you also brought to see your mother out of the blue…so I want to ask you what’s worrying you.”
Why don’t just tell instead of throwing a tantrum, ah! The solution was so easy!
