These were the bells that he received as a farewell gift from Sifuer, when he left the Hell Plane prior to the competition; he had given her a lighter as a keepsake, and Sifuer had taken down the wind chis from her horns as a gift to him. Xila had teased him about it at the ti, suggesting these bells had a special aning.
Upon comparing the two pairs of bells, Pei Yan quickly noticed the sun and moon patterns engraved on them. When the two were spun to a certain angle, the round sun and crescent moon would integrate and emit a brilliant light. Upon witnessing this change, Pei Yan proudly presented the bells, "Look! These two seem to be a pair, when these two patterns rge, they glow!"
As Pei Yan displayed the bells, he found everyone looking at him with a mixed expression of amusent and annoyance. He didn't realize why until he noticed Zhao Yuanhu staring at him with a displeased face, reminding him that the earlier voice was from this young lady.

Was it Sifuer who asked her to pass it on? I saw her during my special training in the Demon Race, why didn't she give it to face-to-face then?"
"I don't know that either! She just asked to pass them on to you and didn't say anything else. When I asked what it was, she just sighed and urged that you take good care of these items. If you really want to know why, you'll have to ask her directly." Gu Shenghui patted Pei Yan's shoulder and explained.
