782: Chapter 775: Half-Elf Siblings 782: Chapter 775: Half-Elf Siblings This seed to be a pair of frail siblings.

They were wearing clothes made from sacks.

The sister’s outfit was a bit more orderly, likely because she needed to go out frequently.

The brother, on the contrary, was simply wearing a sack with a rope tied around his waist.

Under the chilling, dim light of the magic crystal, the faces of both siblings appeared rather pale.

At the sight of them, Luoer was taken aback because these two were not ordinary humans, but instead half-elves of the elf race.

As previously ntioned, Holy Heart City was a tropolitan city where various races coexisted in the eastern district.

Among them, the half-elves undoubtedly stood out the most.

The half-elves standing before him possessed light-colored long hair and sky-blue irises.

Under the cold illumination of the magic crystal, their beauty was inexplicably captivating.

In general, half-elves tend to be more attractive than other races.

The pair standing in front of him were no exception.

There were several reasons for the discrimination against elves and half-elves.

If beauty were revered in Otherworld, the elves and half-elves would certainly reign supre.

Because of their half-elf lineage, the siblings had a rather feminine appearance.

Both sister and brother, surprisingly.

If the sister hadn’t spoken up, Luoer would’ve mistaken the younger one for a girl.

Judging by their appearances, the sister seed to be about seventeen or eighteen, while the brother appeared thirteen or fourteen.

But Luoer knew better than to judge elves and half-elves by their looks.

For instance, despite looking younger than everyone in the Advance Team, Luoer was older than them all.

Without his excellent combat leadership displayed in nurous battles, he wouldn’t have been able to establish his authority within the team.

The brother, who just attempted to assault Luoer, was now released.

He quickly rushed to the sister’s side, his big eyes fearfully fixed on Luoer.

If Feng hadn’t been warned by Luoer before entering, the brother could have been severely injured due to Feng’s temperant.

Anyone who dared to attack Luoer would assuredly et a fatal end.

The boy should count himself lucky for narrowly escaping such a fate.

In the cold light, Luoer noticed the sister’s face turned more and more sickly pale.

Blood was still spurting from her lower leg, hinting at their lack of knowledge about first aid.

Or perhaps they hadn’t had any chance to bandage their wounds before Luoer and his team barged in.

Being a half-elf himself, Luoer felt an instinctive sympathy for these siblings.

He wasn’t a bloodthirsty man, and the sister hadn’t done anything heinous.

Actually, the main reason Luoer followed them was to lend a hand.

“Your leg is still bleeding.

If you don’t stop it, you may die.” After exchanging a brief glance with them, Luoer nonchalantly ntioned.

Neither of them responded after Luoer spoke.

The room quickly fell silent.

The sister’s rapid breathing filled the quiet room as her eyes never left Luoer, apparently confused about his intentions.

“You should know why I ca looking for you, right?” As Luoer spoke, he began to search the vicinity and quickly found a worn-out oil lamp.

He lit it with a flint, then placed it next to the magic crystal.

The oil lamp emitted a warm, orange glow, not as bright as the magic crystal but soothing nonetheless, relieving so of the chilling atmosphere.

“To be honest, I don’t care much about money.

If you asked for it, I might have considered giving it.

But if you resort to such ans and end up being discovered by others, a broken leg would be the least of your worries.” Luoer calmly said.

After a long silence, the sister struggled to part her pallid lips.

Taking a deep breath, she pulled out a purse from her bosom, and gasped out, “Ye…

Yes, sorry, we…

we stole your…

your belongings…”

“Heh heh…” Seeing the sister openly admit her fault, Luoer felt slightly reassured and began to develop a soft spot for her.

Though he was aware that the sister stole his purse, he held no grudge against her.

While Luoer abided by rules, he didn’t accept the law of Otherworld.

After all, in a world that had yet to achieve basic equality, the so-called laws only protected the interests of the privileged class.

“Keep it.

It was your skills that got it.” Luoer casually spoke while slowly advancing towards the siblings.

“Don’t…

don’t co closer…” Seeing Luoer approach, the brother picked up a stick, holding it defensively in front of him, his voice full of panic.

His voice was still childlike, a typical prepubescent boy’s voice, suggesting that he hadn’t yet hit puberty.

“Kid, if we don’t treat your sister’s injury soon, she will die.” Luoer said calmly.

“You…want to help ?” The sister asked Luoer warily.

“Why shouldn’t I help you,” Luoer considered and replied with a smile, “We are of the sa root, after all.”

“What do you an?” The sister asked in confusion.

“You two are of Elf mixed blood, right?” Luoer speculated as he took a closer look at them, then asked, “Snow Elves?”

“You…” The sister stared at Luoer.

Despite his colored contact lenses, she noticed sothing and cautiously asked, “Are you…also of Elven mixed heritage?”

“Hmm.” Luoer nodded, then pulled back his hood, revealing his own drooping pointy ears.

“Wood Elf!” Seeing Luoer’s ears, the siblings couldn’t help but exclaim in unison.

“You trust now, don’t you?” Luoer asked.

“If you don’t care about the money, why did you follow us?” The sister asked, her gaze fixed on Luoer.

“If I hadn’t followed you, you’d probably be dead by now.” Luoer replied indifferently.

Upon hearing Luoer’s words, the sister stiffened her lips and refrained from speaking further.

Her lips were pale; she had lost a lot of blood along the way.

If she didn’t stop the bleeding, she might pass out.

“Can I take a look at the wound on your leg?

Don’t get wrong, I’m not trying to help you,” Luoer coolly explained to their scrutinizing gazes, “Stealing is wrong, but I admit that my n were too violent.

It seems to that although stealing is a cri, it’s not deserving of death.”

Listening to his words, the brother and sister fell silent again.

The brother kept glancing between his sister and Luoer.

The sister lowered her head, looking groggy and extrely exhausted.

“If we don’t treat her now, she’ll die.

Move aside!” Luoer stepped forward, picked up the boy like a chicken and tossed him aside, then reached out to lift the girl’s pant leg.

Once the pant leg was lifted, the sight of her bleedings leg was shocking.

Although Feng had controlled his strength, he had still made a deep cut.

It was fortunate that the knife had only sliced into flesh, otherwise it could have severed her leg bone.

Having seen her injury, Luoer now had an understanding of the situation.

He pulled out his ergency first-aid kit and began to treat her.

“Brace yourself.

dical treatnts can be a bit uncomfortable.” Luoer tightened the bandage around her upper leg, then spoke to her.

The girl hung her head in silence, not daring to et Luoer’s gaze.

Unperturbed, Luoer continued his work.

He took out a syringe and a bottle of penicillin from the dical kit, drew the liquid into the syringe, then spoke to the boy without looking back: “Kid, bring the lamp over here.

I can’t see clearly.”

“Oh!” Hearing Luoer’s words, the boy obediently lifted the lamp and moved closer to Luoer.

“Give your hand!” Luoer said.

Without waiting for her approval, he grasped her arm, pushed up her sleeve, swabbed it with an alcohol-soaked cotton swab, and injected so of the liquid into her forearm.

“What are you doing?” Seeing Luoer’s actions, the boy holding the lamp widened his eyes, and asked in frightened surprise.
