777: Chapter 770: Heading to the East City District 777: Chapter 770: Heading to the East City District After sending off Cheng Ziang and Shariya, Luoer and his company unexpectedly found themselves with a lot of free ti over the next five days.
Tangmo and Baiyue attended classes every day and had to finish their howork upon returning, which was not much different from their life at Haiya Academy – in fact, it was even more strict.
Sacred Heart Magic Academy is an elite school after all, there is no such thing as a ‘happy education’ here.
Every student who successfully enters the academy is strictly educated, and will finally beco a qualified mage.
Due to his race and physical condition, Luoer was essentially excluded from learning magic, and the sa applied to Hu Daoke.
Then there was Feng; she wasn’t part of the magic system of the Aels Continent, so she was not suitable for studying this kind of magic either.
The three of them could only languish in boredom in their dormitory each day.
Luoer used to tidy up around the dormitory when he had spare ti, but now that the academy had taken over al preparation, he was effectively out of work.
“Hey, double cannons, checkmate!” As Hu Daoke moved one paper tile in front of another, he triumphantly said to Feng, who was overwheld by the ga.
He, bored out of his wits, had folded so paper into tiles and made a makeshift chess ga to get through the day with Feng.
However, due to her unfamiliarity with Chinese and the rules of the ga, she was on a twelve-ga losing streak.
“Again, let’s go again!” Feng took a deep breath, then said with all seriousness.
Luoer watched the two, leaning against his hand.
Seeing how serious Feng was, he guessed that it probably wouldn’t be long before she surpassed Hu Daoke, which would an his carefree days would be over.
“That’s low, Feng, move your knight first!” After spending so ti together, Fulajie’er was finally not as afraid of Feng as before and was currently teaming up with her against Hu Daoke.
“Wait wait wait, the knight moves like an ‘L,’ not in a straight line!” Hu Daoke imdiately corrected Feng’s rule-breaking move.
Unable to watch anymore, Luoer took action, moving Feng’s cannon directly to the center of the board.
Seeing this, Hu Daoke stared at Luoer in surprise and asked, “Boss, whose side are you on?”
“Just keep bullying her.
When her skills improve, you’re in for a rough ti.” Luoer shrugged his shoulders and said.
“Well, we’re just bored,” Hu Daoke said casually while moving his pieces on the chessboard, “Boss, we can’t just stand by.
How about going out for a walk?”
“Where could just the three of us go, Holy Heart City is pretty complex.
There’s all kinds of characters there.” Luoer said.
“Just the three of us is enough, look, we’ve got Feng and Xiao Fula too,” Hu Daoke reminded.
“Don’t call ‘Xiao Fula’!!!” Fulajie’er protested indignantly once again.
“Well you’re right…” After hearing him, Luoer felt moved.
Since they were doing nothing anyway, why not walk around the city a bit?
They might even co across sothing good.
“Boss, you wouldn’t happen to be missing Sister Momo, would you?” Hu Daoke asked Luoer.
He deliberately added ‘Sister’ to distinguish her from the other Moumou.
“What are you talking about, Moumou is so busy these days, she hardly has a chance to co out with her sister.” Luoer waved his hand dismissively.
“Boss, I get it, you still want to spend more ti with Sister Momo.
We are all n, and I can totally understand how you feel.
It doesn’t matter to who you like amongst the Tangmos, as in the end, you will be my brother-in-law.” Hu Daoke said earnestly.
“Stop bringing that up.” Luoer said with a bitter smile.
“But you have seen Sister Moumou’s dedication to study magic, you probably won’t have many chances to et with Sister Momo this month, so let’s go out and have so fun.
Plus, weren’t you thinking about checking out that Azita situation earlier?
Now’s the ti!” Hu Daoke urged.
“That does make sense…” Hearing his words, Luoer couldn’t help but nod his head.
Of course, he agreed with Hu Daoke’s second argunt.
“Let’s get going then!” Hu Daoke pounded his fist with excitent, then reached for Feng’s general chess piece and placed it on his own.
“OK, you’ve reigned supre, General!
Let’s get all tidied up and set off for our journey!” Hu Daoke said excitedly to Feng.
“You’re taking this so lightly!” Fulajie’er complained discontentedly.
“What do you an?
You guys truly won.” Hu Daoke blinked his eyes, looking at the baffled pair.
“Luoer!” Fulajie’er turned towards Luoer defiantly.
“You’ve won,” Luoer nodded, pointing out the clear path to the commanding ranks, “He revealed his weak spot for you to take.
You didn’t know the rules, that’s all.”
Humming a little tune, Hu Daoke took out weapons from the room and wrapped them up in cloth.
It was a regulation of Holy Heart City that weapons had to be covered and not readily available; otherwise, the patroln would co to cause trouble.
Before leaving, Shariya arranged for them a carriage, like the last ti.
It could take them to the Western or Eastern District at any ti and would wait at the designated locations for their return.
Since they were heading out, Luoer put on the contact lenses that could change the color of his pupils, and wrapped himself in a hood.
This was to hide his half-elf features.
Taking into account the restrictions of Holy Heart City and Feng’s combat capacity, Luoer did not let her bring her porcelain long knife.
Instead, he prepared for her a sharp dagger hidden on her person, ready for attack at any mont.
Feng’s magic formulas needed physical actions for mimicking, so she had to bring a weapon.
Otherwise, she can’t cast those awe-inspiring magic formulas with her bare hands.
Of course, provided that it’s a weapon, its length does not actually affect the power of her magic formulas.
The reason she prefers long swords or long knives is mainly because, aside from being a mage, she is also a swordsman.
“Fula, don’t show yourself when we’ll be entering the city, you’ll scare people,” Luoer warned before they set off.
“Humph!” Fulajie’er grumbled discontentedly, indicating her agreent.
“Co on, don’t sulk.
When we’re alone, you can co out,” Luoer reassured helplessly.
“Keep away from when you are walking on the street, I do not want to co into contact with those filthy souls.
It disgusts !” Fulajie’er grumbled.
“I understand, I’ll be careful,” Luoer nodded in acknowledgent.
“Boss, let’s hurry up.
Once Yue’er and Sister Moumou co, none of us will be able to leave,” Hu Daoke reminded.
“Wait, I’ll leave them a note, so they won’t worry,” said Luoer as he crouched down to write a note on the table.
Once all was in place, the trio hurriedly left the apartnt building and ca downstairs.
Although it wasn’t raining, the weather was still damp.
However, the Magic Academy paved almost all roads, so they weren’t too bad.
Clad in hooded cloaks, the three snuck to the designated place like thieves, where a special carriage waited for them.
The coachman was fast asleep in a pile of hay.
After waking up the coachman, the trio boarded the carriage bound for the Eastern District.
Crossing over a bridge leads from Uptown to the Eastern District.
After crossing the stone bridge, they arrived amidst the hustle and bustle of the Eastern District.
As they stepped off the carriage onto the muddy ground, a damp and eerie sll hit them.
This was a distinct scent that was a blend of all strange slls.
Despite the bad weather, the Eastern District was teeming with activity.
Holy Heart City was a relatively international city in the north, and the Eastern District represented its cosmopolitan visage.
Various races could be found here, including the Ancient States people who were once purged.
However, due to the Church Court’s high-pressure stance towards the Ancient States people, they are rarely seen here now.
Even if they are here, they wouldn’t admit to being of Ancient States descent.
