693: Chapter 686: 50% Love 693: Chapter 686: 50% Love “While you were up at the Fleet, did you happen to see Sister Zhu and the others?” Li Si asked after a mont’s silence, in a way that seed entirely out of the blue.

“Of course we saw them, how else would we be able to communicate with the aerial fleet?” Luoer responded, looking at him as if it should have been obvious.

“Ah,” hearing Luoer’s words, Li Si showed a shy smile on his face before continuing, “Then, um, did Nightingale co along as well?”

“Of course she did, otherwise who else would establish ssenger communication?” Luoer looked puzzled.

“Really?

Hehe.” Li Si said, scratching his head and wearing a foolish grin.

“Brother Li, why are you suddenly so concerned about them?” Luoer gave Li Si a once-over, a bit baffled by his inquiries.

“Ah, well, I…

Isn’t it normal to show concern for them?” Li Si coughed awkwardly and added, “They’re our colleagues after all, hehe…”

“Colleagues…” Luoer looked to Cheng Ziang with questioning eyes.

And Ziang, standing behind Li Si, was rubbing his thumb and forefinger together in a way that resembled a kissing gesture.

Seeing his gesture, Luoer had a sudden look of understanding, nodding his head in realization.

With mutual knowing smiles, Cheng Ziang and Hu Daoke exchanged a glance.

“What are you guys doing?” Feeling sothing was off with Luoer, Li Si turned his head to take a look.

“Oh, nothing…

we won’t disturb you further.

We’ll go rest for a bit.” Luoer coughed out his response.

“Go on, take a good rest,” Li Si waved them off, adding, “With the PM2.5 readings off the charts lately, you should consider wearing gas masks if necessary.”

“No worries.

We’ve grown used to such conditions.” Luoer nodded and led his team out of the office.

As soon as they left, Tangmo snatched Feng and headed straight for his own chamber.

He had discovered that if you kept her busy, she had no ti to be jealous.

“Who would have guessed that our Brother Li is actually interested in Nightingale?

Doesn’t headquarters disapprove of office romances?” The three n headed to their dorms through the hallway, Hu Daoke blurted out.

“Lower your voice.

What if Brother Li hears you?

He might give you a hard ti,” Cheng Ziang warned him.

“By the way, how old is Nightingale again?” Hu Daoke widened his eyes, whispering to the others.

“Well…” Luoer and Cheng Ziang exchanged a glance before Luoer answered, “Probably around forty.

She’s a veteran at headquarters.

I heard she’s been serving since its establishnt.

So it’s a rough estimate at the youngest.”

“Oh my, our Brother Li isn’t older than her, is he?” Hu Daoke asked.

“Hmm,” Luoer nodded, “Seems like Brother Li is around my age.

So he’s probably about ten years younger than Sister Nightingale.”

“Wow, if it’s ‘won older by three, marriage feels like gold,’ then what is ‘won older by ten like’?” Hu Daoke wondered aloud.

“Diamonds, perhaps!” Cheng Ziang shrugged and they both burst into carefree laughter.

“Honestly, you two…” Luoer shook his head, laughing at their jests.

“Oh snap, did I just hear soone gossiping about my sister?” A familiar female voice suddenly echoed around them, causing their hair to stand on end.

Then a small figure appeared out of thin air.

“Ximada, I forgot Nightingale has a sister.” Hearing Fulajie’er’s voice, Hu Daoke slapped his thigh in frustration.

“You always appear out of nowhere, and it scares the heck out of us every ti.” Luoer clutched his chest, comnting with lingering fear.

“Hmph, it’s clearly because you guys are ignoring my existence,” Fulajie’er harrumphed, floating over to Hu Daoke and nacingly said, “Big guy, if you do not want to tattle, you better spill all the gossips you know.”

“We…

we only know this much.” With a look of panic, Hu Daoke stuttered out his answer.

“Looks like you’re not being honest.

Let’s see how long it takes to fly back to the office.” Fulajie’er started to float toward the office after her threat.

“Fula Sister, Fula Sis, let’s talk things out, don’t go complaining behind my back!” Hu Daoke flapped his hands hopelessly in the air, irrelevantly speaking.

“What little sister?

I’m a lot older than you, call your elder sister!” As soon as Fulajie’er heard his na for her, she spoke angrily to him, before assuming a confrontational pose with her hands on her hips.

“Co on, sister, sister, let’s talk over here, we could exchange our ideas.” Hu Daoke engaged her with a smile on his face.

It seed he could chat heartily with anyone, exhibiting a naturally outgoing disposition.

He was unlike Luoer, who was stiff and awkward, nor was he like Cheng Ziang, who enjoyed affecting a pretence.

“Finally, there are no more third wheels.” Seeing the two leave, Cheng Ziang shook his head and spoke in a relieved tone.

“Third wheel?” Hearing his comnt, Luoer stared blankly for a while before turning his head to look at him.

Cheng Ziang, noticing Luoer’s gaze, let a mischievous smile play across his lips and pointed in a certain direction.

Following the trajectory of his gesture, Luoer looked over and was surprised to find that Baiyue was standing quietly in the corridor’s corner, watching him.

“I’m away to a gossip session.

Take care of yourself!” Cheng Ziang patted Luoer’s shoulder and laughed understandingly as he departed.

Watching Cheng Ziang leave, Luoer slowly walked over to Baiyue.

She seed sowhat uncomfortable with his approach and couldn’t help but feel uneasy.

“Sister Moumou said she wanted to do so research by herself, so she didn’t let accompany her.” As soon as Luoer joined her, Baiyue began speaking nervously.

“Moumou, she…” Luoer said, his eyes wide open.

But when he realized that it was Moumou’s idea, he imdiately felt relieved and took a deep sigh.

“Did you guys…

have a disagreent?” Baiyue asked tentatively.

“No,” Luoer shook his head and smiled, “Don’t you think she’s been maturing slowly?”

“She just found sothing she truly wants to do.” Baiyue responded, her head low and lips pursed.

Luoer suddenly found himself at a loss for words, leaving them both stuck in an awkward silence.

Baiyue was seemingly struggling with sothing, and after hesitating for a while, she raised her hand and drew a vertical line on Luoer’s left chest with her index finger.

“What does that an?” Luoer looked at her actions, asking with a puzzled face.

“It would be good if your heart could be divided into two.

Half for and half for Sister Moumou.” Baiyue spoke sincerely, her head lowered.

“How co you all have such strange ideas?

If that happened, I would die,” Luoer comnted with a bitter smile.

Previously, Tangmo, with her Momo personality, had said the exact sa thing to him.

It seems that all girls have different personalities, but her desire for possession was surprisingly consistent.

“What should we do…

What should I do?” Baiyue asked despondently.

“I don’t want to let Sister Moumou down.

She’s been good to , and I truly see her as my own sister.

I don’t want to betray her.”

“Don’t think too much, just let nature take its course,” said Luoer, who was unsure how else to comfort her, finally offering such soothing words after a long struggle.

“Luoer,” Baiyue raised her head and asked earnestly, “Will you still love other girls?”

“No!” Luoer affird, nodding his head.

“What about Princess lia?” Baiyue continued to ask.

Upon hearing lia’s na, Luoer was taken aback for a mont before shaking his head firmly.

“Nothing will ever happen between us.

We’re just friends, truly, just friends.”

With a blank stare, Baiyue locked eyes with Luoer.

His assurance bade a cheerful smile on her face.

After a brief silence, she suddenly took a bold step forward and embraced Luoer tightly.

Luoer was caught off guard at this unexpected embrace, but once he had collected himself, he broke into a relieved smile.

This was the first ti Baiyue had initiated contact with him.

It seed she too had changed, no longer being as passive as she once was.

“This way, I can at least share half of your love,” Baiyue held Luoer closer, whispering this to herself.
