650: Chapter 643: Interrogation By Torture 650: Chapter 643: Interrogation By Torture The corpse pieces clattered to the ground, with the severed wounds spurting out viscous blood, swiftly staining a large section of tree branches and earth, along with Feng, who was nearby.

She turned to face the crowd, splattered with blood that trickled down her cheek and soaked into her clothes.

Her face was devoid of any expression which made her appear exceptionally cold-blooded.

Then, a disturbance erged from one side of the jungle.

A rcenary, traumatized by the terrible sight of his comrade, lost all desire to fight after witnessing Feng hacking his companion into pieces.

He trembled, dropped his rifle, and started to run.

Feng didn’t seem surprised about his presence at all, which was quite normal, since her sensory range was more than fifty ters, she was well aware of every move within this area.

As the man turned to flee, she had once again lifted her long sword.

“Spare one under your sword, we need a prisoner!” It took a mont for Luoer to register what was going on, then he quickly shouted to warn her.

Hearing Luoer’s request, Feng hesitated for a mont, then lowered her sword again.

An intangible sword energy instantly swept towards the fleeing rcenary, exploding two blossoms of blood on his legs.

The rcenary cried out in pain and fell to the ground, just like the surrounding vegetation.

Clearly, Feng had listened to Luoer, she hadn’t killed the rcenary instead she had immobilized him.

But, despite this, her actions were quite ruthless – she had severed the man’s legs with a single stroke.

Now, laying on the ground, his legs gushed out fresh blood that imdiately dyed the ground red.

“Fula and Feng, stay on alert.

Ziang, co with .

The rest of you, return to the crash site to grab our belongings and prepare to move!” spotting the rcenary’s fall, Luoer laid his rifle aside, stood up, and barked orders loudly.

Watching Luoer’s actions, Cheng Ziang knew what his next step would be.

He readied his dagger in advance, following him through the dense thicket to reach the disabled rcenary.

Luoer drew out his pistol and walked up to the rcenary.

Seeing them approach, the rcenary instinctively tried to grab the rifle he had dropped earlier, but Luoer was quicker, kicking the rifle away.

Swiftly, Luoer stepped on the rcenary’s right hand to prevent any further movent.

Then signaled Cheng Ziang, saying, “Prepare the painkiller!”

“Alright!” Responding to his order, Cheng Ziang nodded, took out the painkiller from his pocket, and on each thigh of the rcenary, plunged a shot to ease the excruciating pain.

“Who sent you?” Squatting and pressing hard on his right hand Luoer glanced around warily and then looked the rcenary right in the eye and asked.

The rcenary appeared to be in his thirties, sporting a full beard.

His features were typical to those originating from the western parts of Odelanqi, having light hair and amber-colored pupils.

Whether it was the people of Odelanqi or Marsya, they were both types of Aud people.

But due to their different habitats, their appearances varied as well.

Though at an initial glance, they all looked similar.

Luoer and his companions could easily tell apart these people’s origins, just like they could distinguish between the appearance of those from Eastern and Western Europe.

Because of the excruciating pain, sweat beads continuously trickled down his forehead.

The fierce heat had made his face greasy and shiny.

Upon hearing Luoer’s voice, the rcenary lifted his head and looked at the half-elf in front of him with terrified, dull eyes but refrained from speaking as Luoer had wished.

Observing his reaction, Luoer sighed heavily, fiddling his pistol, he could understand the fear.

He hadn’t expected answers right after his first question.

Even though he despised the thod of torture, desperate tis often called for desperate asures.

He pressed harder with his foot on the rcenary’s hand, forcing him to spread his fingers flat against the ground.

Turning to Cheng Ziang, he signaled him to co over.

Cheng Ziang nodded, crouched in front of him, and rcilessly stabbed one of the rcenary’s fingers with his ready dagger.

The sharp dagger instantly plunged into the dirt, severing a finger of the rcenary, and causing fresh blood to spurt out, tinging the decaying earth red.

The rcenary shrieked pathetically, desperately clinging to Luoer’s boots with his left hand.

He tried to bite Luoer’s calf, but Luoer responded just in ti by stuffing the barrel of his gun into the rcenary’s mouth, stopping short of firing.

Luoer had instructed Cheng Ziang to administer the painkiller to the rcenary not out of compassion but to exert physical torture to force him to crack.

When one is released from pain, there is an instinctual fear of experiencing pain again.

So, if the pain is inflicted once more, it is easier to break their will.

The reason Luoer had instructed Cheng Ziang to inject the painkiller into the rcenary’s legs was to purposely shift his pain from his legs to his hands.

Otherwise, if his legs were in excruciating pain, cutting off his finger wouldn’t have had the sa significant impact.

Luoer never lets an enemy off easily, which was what gave him his nerve as the captain of the advance team.

If it weren’t that he had sothing else in mind, he wouldn’t blink an eye if this rcenary in front of him was hacked into pieces.

“Answer wrong once, and I’ll cut off one of your fingers.

Count for yourself how many chances you have to make mistakes.” Luoer squatted in front of him, his foot on the man’s palm, devoid of emotion.

Cheng Ziang walked up to the rcenary, his leg swinging up and kicking the man’s nose.

The hard military boot broke his nose bridge imdiately, knocked off several of his teeth, and suddenly blood dyed his mouth and nose, forcing him to release the pistol in Luoer’s hand.

“It was you who downed the plane, wasn’t it?” Undisturbed by the grueso sight, Luoer continued to inquire.

Listening to his question, the rcenary lowered his head.

Luoer could see his will beginning to waver, but this wasn’t the effect he desired yet.

Seeing the rcenary silent, Luoer shrugged and continued to signal Cheng Ziang.

Understanding, Cheng Ziang nodded, then pulled a dagger from the wet mud and struck it toward the rcenary’s other finger.

“Ahhhhhh!!!”

The rcenary scread again with an agonizing wail.

This ti, to keep him from resisting, Cheng Ziang took over Luoer’s position and pinned his right hand, while Luoer stepped on his left hand to keep him immobilized.

The rcenary’s body convulsed continuously.

He tried to struggle but both hands were firmly pinned to the ground.

His second finger was also cut off, with blood sprouting and staining the already red mud.

Both of them coldly watched the helpless struggles of the rcenary.

After the intense pain subsided slightly, Luoer sighed lightly and continued to speak, “I asked you a question, just answer it.

Why can’t you listen and insist on this kind of suffering?”

He paused, looking at the gun in his hand, pulled over a leaf to wipe off the saliva on it, then continued, “The previous incident was also your doing, correct?”

“Yes…

Yes…” After a long struggle, the rcenary finally answered Luoer’s question in a hoarse voice, just before Luoer’s patience ran out.

Hearing his unclear response, Luoer chuckled lightly, feeling that he probably found a way to extract information.

“Do you guys have a lot of people?” Luoer continued to ask.

“Yes…” The rcenary answered in a low voice.

“Did you guys do both of these incidents?” Luoer asked.

“Yes…”

“Who instructed you?” Luoer asked.

Upon hearing this, the rcenary lifted his head to glance nervously at him, writhing for a while before shaking his head, “No…

I don’t know…”

“Where are your weapons from?” Seeing one clue leading nowhere, Luoer quickly changed the subject.

“I don’t know…” The rcenary answered.

“What happened to the stuff on the previous plane?

Where did you guys take it?” Luoer continued asking.

“I don’t know…” The rcenary answered once more.

“Alright then!” Luoer nodded, feeling that this was enough.

This guy was probably just a pawn and knew little information.

After a simple interrogation, he stood up, raised his gun, aid it at the rcenary’s head, and shot him directly.
