517: Chapter 510: The Truth about Weird Talk Forest 517: Chapter 510: The Truth about Weird Talk Forest “Is the magic weapon you’re referring to this kind of weapon?” Luo’er asked, holding up the AK rifle next to him.
“Oh, it’s such a weapon, how impressive, you guys have these too!” Fulajie’er exclaid.
Luo’er and Hu Daoke exchanged a glance and continued, “Fulajie’er, our plan is to first understand the situation of the base and then co to rescue you.
Can you help us figure out the layout inside the base?”
What Luo’er was thinking was that since Fulajie’er could easily reach places they couldn’t, why not let her help them reconnoiter the God Creation Base?
“Hmm, the situation inside is quite complex, there are places we can’t go to because the magic there is too thin,” she paused, then continued, “You can’t really see anything from that hill, the base is too big, you can only see a small part of it from there.”
“Is that so.” Luo’er nodded.
If what Fulajie’er was saying was true, it ant that it would be very difficult for them to conduct a ground-based reconnaissance of the God Creation Base.
If reconnaissance could not be carried out, their battle plan could not be formulated.
However, as earthlings, Luo’er’s thinking process was far more advanced than that of the Otherworlders.
Since ground reconnaissance was unreliable, an aerial survey would be the only option.
If he rembered correctly, didn’t the airboat have two transport planes?
If all else fails, they would have to return and arrange for reconnaissance tasks using the transport planes.
However, this plan would require Li Si’s approval.
After all, the High-peak people don’t want to be enemies with the Ancient States people, so they’re probably not going to get involved in the war between them and Theron.
Their conversation with Fulajie’er went on until late into the night.
Luo’er didn’t even sleep, he kept talking to Fulajie’er.
As dawn ca, the early light made the surrounding area more visible.
At this point, they discovered that Fulajie’er existed as a transparent magic cluster.
Every ti she moved, she left twisted trails in the air.
Upon seeing this, Luo’er couldn’t help but pull out his chanical cara and took a shot at the magic cluster.
“What are you doing?” Fulajie’er circled in the air a few tis and asked curiously.
“Nothing much, I’m drawing a picture of you.” Luo’er explained shortly.
“Oh, can I see what I look like?” Fulajie’er asked.
“Sorry, it might take a little while before you can see.” Luo’er replied.
“Oh, I see.” Fulajie’er nodded, feeling a bit disappointed.
She looked towards the reddening horizon and said sadly, “It’s dawn, I should wake up now.
You should leave quickly and not co back.”
Her tone held a hint of unwillingness to part, clearly, she wasn’t keen on saying goodbye to Luo’er and the others either.
After all, it’s rare to find people who are not afraid of her and can have a conversation with her, which finally made her feel relieved after suppressing herself for a long ti.
She floated back and forth in the air, and as though she just rembered sothing, she said, “By the way, I don’t even know your nas.
But never mind, you probably won’t be coming back anyway.
Goodbye, strangers!”
“My na is Luo’er, just call Luo’er!” Thinking she was about to leave, Luo’er quickly introduced himself.
“I’m Hu Daoke, you can just call Old Hu!” Hu Daoke followed.
“Your nas are strange.” Fulajie’er remarked as she floated about.
“We are from the Otherworld!” Luo’er candidly revealed their identities.
“Oh, so you are Otherworlders,” Fulajie’er exclaid, spinning around them in amazent.
“So that’s what Otherworlders look like.
Those people were lying, saying that you have pig-like noses and big eyes.”
“We will co back, we will definitely co back to save you!” Luo’er asserted firmly.
“You…” Fulajie’er seed touched, her voice even broken with emotion, “you go first.
Co back when you’ve beco stronger.
Don’t worry about us, we’re fine.
Just take care of yourselves.”
“I promise you, we will definitely co back!” Luo’er nodded confidently.
“I believe you,” Fulajie’er said with emotion.
Then she spun around in the air and said sowhat sorrowfully, “my body is awakening, I have to leave now.
Please go, I’m afraid they’ll co here and capture you.”
Having said that, the magic cluster she had transford into reluctantly circulated around them and swiftly headed towards the God creation base.
The speed was so fast that it was even quicker than a bullet.
They could only see the trails left behind in the distorted air.
As she left, a hair-raising developnt occurred: Several trails imdiately appeared around the open ground.
Magical fluctuations filled the air; even Hu Daoke, usually so dull and unobservant, could distinctly sense them.
It turned out that during their conversation with Fulajie’er, nurous ghosts were lurking around the periphery of the forest.
Although they knew these ghosts were not truly dead, they nonetheless felt lingering fear from being so clandestinely watched.
Not long after Fulajie’er left, Luoya woke up leisurely.
From the looks of her, she hadn’t slept well that night.
Upon opening her eyes, she saw Cheng Ziang sitting by her side and imdiately blushed, pushing him away.
“What are you doing?” Cheng Ziang hadn’t actually been sleeping, rely dozing sitting next to her.
Woken up by her push, he beca fully alert.
“Why are you so close to ?” Luoya blushed and asked with a furrowed brow.
“Didn’t you say you were scared?” Cheng Ziang said confusedly.
“No, I didn’t!
Just stay away from !” Luoya retorted.
“Alright, pack your things, let’s go!” Luo’er, not bothered at their playful exchange, steps forward and says.
“Aren’t we going to do reconnaissance?” Cheng Ziang asked.
“No need, ground surveillance is not feasible now.
We must find another way.” Luo’er shook his head.
“That woman…” Luoya, a bit scared, asked as she crawled out of her sleeping bag.
“She already left; we should hurry too, before those people from Theron co in to search.” Luo’er reassured.
After a quick pack-up, they left the forest.
Upon exiting, they spotted a warning sign spiked into the ground by Theron.
It was written in Ancient Tasta: ‘Cunning Speech Forest ahead, entry forbidden.
Trespassers will be held responsible’.
They quickened their pace upon leaving the Cunning Speech Forest.
After all, they could still be protected by the ghosts within the forest, but likely to run into those from Theron once outside.
According to the adventurers, this area is still in Theron’s alert zone, and they kill any intruders without any questions, whether the intrusion is intentional or not.
They only relaxed after walking roughly three kiloters outside the alert zone.
Luo’er looked back at the God creation base, feeling that the entire night’s experience seed like a dream.
They, steadfast materialists, had encountered so-called ghosts and those too were living spirits.
Luo’er could now understand the fear of those adventurers.
After all, even they, the people from Earth, would get a start from these spirits, not to ntion the people of this Otherworld who are uncivilized and believe in deities and spirits.
Despite this, the expedition was not fruitless; they learned the truth about the Cunning Speech Forest, which could be used as a rallying point for future attacks.
With the terror of ghosts present, Theron would dare not easily step into this forest.
More importantly, this expedition made Luo’er realize that traditional ground surveillance could not explore the insides of the God creation base.
If they were in a mountainous area, they could have used the high terrains for surveillance.
However, the base is located in the plains; there’s not even a hill over a hundred ters high, which greatly increases the difficulty of surveillance.
Now, their only option is to return to the airboat and reconsider their plan.
Luo’er thought it was necessary to use transport planes for air reconnaissance.
Otherwise, their current strength would have no chance to infiltrate the God creation base effectively.
