457: Chapter 450: A Change in Offensive 457: Chapter 450: A Change in Offensive “Otherworlders!” At Nina’s translation, Millie’s face changed instantly.

The other Elf soldiers once again raised their bows and arrows towards them.

“You are from the Otherworld?” Millie stepped back, drawing her short sword and demanding in a stern voice.

“Yes!” At Nina’s translation, Cheng Ziang nodded in confirmation.

With his admission, Millie’s face took on an even darker expression.

She glared angrily at Nina and berated her.

Nina, however, did not hold back and retaliated.

The standoff between them escalated quickly.

“Wait a minute!” In amidst the tense atmosphere, Cheng Ziang raised his hands and loudly halted their impending conflict, “Can I finish speaking?

Are all elves so reckless?”

Although Nina disagreed with Cheng Ziang’s words, she translated them as accurately as she could.

Upon hearing Nina’s translation, Millie looked at him suspiciously.

After a long hesitation, she finally sheathed her short sword.

Taking it as a signal, the other elf soldiers once again lowered their weapons.

“What do you want to say?” Millie stared at him and asked coldly.

“First, why did you attack us?” Cheng Ziang dropped his hands and asked helplessly.

“We are enemies!” she replied coldly.

“Since when?” asked Cheng Ziang, sowhat at a loss.

“Thirty years ago, you Otherworlders attempted to invade our world.

Since then, we have been enemies,” Millie answered.

“It’s been thirty years already, and you still haven’t forgotten?” Cheng Ziang asked, sowhat puzzled.

“For elves, thirty years is similar to three years.” Nina didn’t translate his words, but instead patiently explained.

“Alright, so it’s like more than three years, and you still can’t forget?” Cheng Ziang shrugged.

He looked at Millie and patiently explained: “Listen well, Captain Millie.

Thirty years ago, our United Nations Secretary-General signed a peace treaty on behalf of Earth with all of you.

From that mont on, we were no longer enemies.

I didn’t expect that you would still consider an enemy.

I don’t know whether it’s that you’re too out of touch, or if your thinking is too outdated.”

After so hesitation, Nina translated his words exactly.

She felt that Millie was too detestable and also wanted to vent through Cheng Ziang’s words.

“Thirty years ago.

you killed many of our brothers and sisters.

Such hatred cannot be easily dissolved by any peace treaty,” Millie stubbornly said.

“In the first and second Otherworld wars, over three hundred thousand people from Earth sustained casualties.

This does not even include the casualties from a while back which amounted to over a hundred thousand.

In the Otherworld, over a million people suffered casualties.

The Aud people and Bobulu people, who suffered the most casualties, chose to make peace with Earth.

In these two wars, both sides lost many people.

I don’t quite understand your resentnt, why do you think you’re at a disadvantage?” Cheng Ziang asked with a mocking look.

“Hatred is just hatred, it’s not a matter of comparison.

Since you killed so many of our brothers and sisters, you beca our enemies.

Unless the Divine Wood wilts, such a grudge will never be resolved.” Millie stated firmly.

“Alright, alright, we are enemies,” Cheng Ziang waved his hand and said, “I just want to know, is this just the opinion of Captain Millie, or does it represent the collective will of Ilanadale?”

“This…” Millie glanced around: the other elf soldiers all lowered their heads.

Drawing a deep breath and gathering her courage, she hesitantly admitted, “Back then, it was the collective will of Ilanadale!”

“Captain Millie, I hope you understand that your words aren’t a joke,” Cheng Ziang looked at her and replied with a serious expression, “Currently in the Otherworld, or well, your world, there is no country that is openly hostile to Earth.

So, if what you are saying is true, can I interpret this as Ilanadale is at war with the entire Earth, or rather, Ilanadale is trying to resist the entire Earth with the power of one country?”

At his words, Millie was imdiately stunned.

Although she has lived longer than Cheng Ziang, her cognition was limited due to her long seclusion in Ilanadale’s prival forests, leaving her without Cheng Ziang’s political perspective.

Her words were quickly stymied by him, leaving her too frightened to speak.

“You may not fully understand the consequences of warring with Earth.

I’ll give you a simple example,” Seeing Millie’s panicked expression, Cheng Ziang displayed a satisfied smile, pacing as he spoke, “The Blaiqi rchant n who often trade within Ilanadale’s borders, often provide you with so of Earth’s industrial products.

However, if we are willing, those Blaiqi rchants will never step foot into Ilanadale again from this day forth, nor will they sell you any industrial products from Earth.

Do you believe this?”

Cheng Ziang’s words might be a bit alarmist, but they could indeed be carried out.

Among modern Earth nations, sanctioning and severing economic ties are the simplest and most common practices.

These practices do not require physical force or cause bloodshed, thus developed nations love to use it to make life difficult for the other party.

However, if applied to smaller nations, it would essentially be a disaster.

Although Ilanadale’s economy is mainly natural, if such a scenario were to happen, they would probably be crippled for quite a while.

The Blaiqi people are frivolous and greedy.

As long as Earth offers a price, they might even refuse to sell the most basic supplies to Ilanadale, completely cutting off the country’s external economic trade.

“This…” At Cheng Ziang’s question, Millie fell into panic.

“Her words can’t be taken seriously.

She’s just a patrol captain.

She never consulted about this,” before Millie could respond, Princess Nina stepped in and coldly replied.

“Of course, as long as Princess Nina is here, we still believe that Ilanadale and Earth are in a state of peace.” Cheng Ziang expressed his basic interest to Nina.

Nina looked at the young man before her.

Although he was much younger than Luo, he acted very mature.

If they didn’t call Luo their captain, she would rather believe that this young man nad Cheng Ziang was the team captain of the advance team.

“Alright, we’ve explained our identities, Captain Millie.

We, as a team under the command of the headquarters, represent the interests of the Shani people.

We seek an audience with your queen, can you let us pass?” Cheng Ziang asked her.

Before she could respond, Cheng Ziang continued: “If you don’t know about the headquarters or the Shani people, it’s a good idea to ask around in the north.

Don’t always hide in these deep mountains, unaware of what’s happening on the outside.”

Even after translating Cheng Ziang’s words, Nina stood stunned.

She completely forgot about it.

Luo’s father was from headquarters.

Naturally, Luo was also from the headquarters.

Since it was impossible to ask the queen to acknowledge Luo’s identity, they could completely request on behalf of the headquarters.

Cheng Ziang was full of confidence in his approach.

They still hadn’t reported Luo’s disappearance to the headquarters, only ntioning that Luo had an accident.

He believed that if anything happened to Luo, the people at the headquarters wouldn’t stand idly by.
