"I’ll make arrangents and take my leave here,"
Fran said, standing up and bowing deeply before turning to walk toward the door.
When he reached the door, he suddenly paused, looking thoughtful. He then turned around and respectfully said to Luo’er,
"Commander, your integrity and moral standing are truly admirable. If Lipei had soone like you in power, I believe it would quickly regain its forr glory and beco the land of prosperity once more."
"Thank you for your blessings,"
Luo’er responded with a faint smile.
With the end of the war, life for the Lipei people gradually returned to peace. Everyone went back to their forr hos, and the reconstruction work proceeded busily.
However, there were occasional reports of unexploded ordnance, prompting the bomb disposal teams to frequently mobilize. The sudden sounds of explosions always caused a brief panic among them.
On another front, Luo’er began to organize a joint military tribunal to conduct post-war trials and settlents against Gudelv and dozens of other Odelanqi military and governnt officials.
Although the Church Court was reluctant, they still sent personnel to participate in order to sanction Gudelv.
The joint tribunal consisted not only of people from the Otherworld but also judges from Earth and a committee of prosecutors from various countries. They gathered in Lipei to conduct lengthy trial proceedings against these individuals.
This process was long, lasting three years in total. Finally, the tribunal announced that Gudelv had orchestrated a series of cris against humanity, including but not limited to arms smuggling, violent abductions, and planning to start wars.
Ultimately, Gudelv was sentenced to death, to be carried out imdiately. This ambitious hero finally t his end in Lipei.
With the complete takeover of Lipei by the Church Court, they reinstated a new king as a puppet, who was also from the Fiolonte Family and a distant relative of Gudelv.
In accordance with the post-war ceasefire agreent between Lipei and Odelanqi, Odelanqi ceded territory with a hundred-kiloter radius centered on Lipei, expanding Lipei’s scale once again, and a new wave of immigration began.
The Otherworld returned to normalcy once more, and Lipei, now free from threats, began its scheduled plans to assist the Science Academy in formally launching the Magpie Bridge Plan, seeking the Otherworld Gate to open a pathway from the Otherworld to Mars.
Half a year post-war, although the trials were proceeding busily, Luo’er had already started to attend to his personal affairs.
Flags and banners adorned Lipei City, with flowers and ribbons decorating the streets. Today was the day Luo’er and Baiyue were getting married.
Although Luo’er repeatedly emphasized a simple ceremony, he could not resist the love the people of Lipei had for him, as everyone voluntarily contributed to Luo’er’s wedding.
Countries from the Otherworld sent their blessings, and lia, having successfully ascended to beco the Queen of Masya, also sent her blessings, although she did not attend in person.
Nina traveled a long distance just to witness this special mont. Luo Qishan, who had been recuperating, also dragged his frail body to Lipei just to attend his grandson’s wedding.
Back when Nina and Luo Chuan relied on each other to survive in the canyon, they never imagined what the future would hold or what path their child would walk.
Although Luo Chuan passed away early, Nina was fortunate to witness this mont.
The wedding was bustling with activity. As the best man, Cheng Ziang found a mont to pull Luoya aside to a secluded place. He explained his experiences in East Continent and earnestly sought Luoya’s forgiveness.
With so diation from Yalunte, Cheng Ziang was finally able to face this relationship honestly, so he mustered the courage to confess everything to Luoya.
After hearing his account, Luoya asked expressionlessly, "Let ask you, if she were still alive, would you give up on ?"
"I don’t know..."
Cheng Ziang lowered his head deeply.
"Look into my eyes and answer , did you really like her?"
"I don’t want to lie. When I was with her, I did feel moved..."
"And you two..."
"No, absolutely not!"
"Sigh..." Luoya sighed deeply, looking up and saying, "Let think about it for a while, okay?"
"Sorry for playing with your feelings all this ti."
"It’s human nature, so there’s no need to apologize. It’s just that we didn’t spend enough ti together to understand each other well enough..."
"Then..."
"So," Luoya raised her head again, a crafty smile on her face, "in the days to co, you must accompany well and nurture our feelings."
"I, I will try my best," Cheng Ziang said, both surprised and delighted.
"You mustn’t fall for other girls again, okay?"
"I promise, for sure!"
The two embraced each other. As Cheng Ziang put his worries aside, he gained a deeper understanding of the beauty in his arms.
"By the way, where’s Sister Moumou? Isn’t she attending her brother’s wedding?" Luoya suddenly asked.
"How could she attend? You should have guessed it," Cheng Ziang said, forcing a smile.
"Then she..."
"Don’t worry, your brother and she are both long-lived, they have all the ti in the world."
"What about you," Luoya released him, gazing at him with concern, "I am also one of the long-lived, while you..."
"My father is from Northern Aud," Cheng Ziang explained.
"What does that an, Northern Aud?"
"Um, it ans a hybrid of Snow Elves and Aud people."
"You are an Elf too?" Luoya widened her eyes.
"Don’t I look like one?"
"Not at all."
"That’s the adaptability of the Snow Elves; they beco more like the Human Race over ti."
"You’re not lying to , are you?"
Luoya squinted her eyes.
"How could I lie to you? I’m just afraid that after a hundred years, you might grow tired of ."
"Perhaps,"
Luoya said, showing a crafty smile.
The massive Xuanwu Ship hovered in the skies above Lipei, waiting for orders from higher up. Tangmo sat in the Captain’s seat, gazing through the observation window at the bustling Lipei City, sighing incessantly.
"Captain, do we really have to set off today? If you don’t attend, you’ll lose the chance forever," the First Officer walked over and said with concern.
"I want him to understand two things," Tangmo said calmly, withdrawing her gaze. "First, I’m generous, so I allow him to fall in love with another and even marry her. Second, I’m petty, so I won’t attend their wedding."
"After all, both of you are the Captain’s..." the First Officer said hesitantly.
"Different matters," Tangmo took a deep breath and turned to ask, "By the way, have orders co from above yet?"
"Yes," the First Officer handed a docunt to her, speaking cautiously, "If the Captain doesn’t attend the wedding, we can set off now."
"Then let’s set off," Tangmo said, taking the docunt.
"Are you really not attending?" the First Officer asked one last ti.
"No, compared to this, the great journey of humanity seems more important, doesn’t it?" Tangmo said, lifting the docunt in her hand and loudly commanding, "Warship, set sail! Find the Otherworld Gate, let us usher in a New Era for humanity!"
