Chapter 1718: Chapter 1711: Lack of Experience

“If I defeat you, you shall pay with your life and atone for your cris!” Xing Hu raised his sword and pointed at the man as he spoke.

“Alright,” the man smiled faintly, then changed his tone and said, “But if I defeat you, you shall withdraw and leave my matters alone. How about that?”

“It’s a deal!” Xing Hu gritted his teeth and nodded fiercely.

“Manor Lord, may I request you to bear witness.” The man turned to Anxiang Zheng as he spoke.

“Hmph…” Anxiang Zheng let out a cold snort but remained silent.

He knew that he had already fallen into the trap set by the other party. Even if he killed the man now, it would be of no use, as his subordinates had scattered, and his secrets would be exposed sooner or later. It was better to hear what the man intended to do.

“Let us begin then.” The man said confidently.

“Wait. Before we start, declare your na. My sword does not cut down naless ghosts.” Xing Hu said.

“Hmm, you may call Yebo.” The man thought for a mont before casually giving a na.

“Fine.” Xing Hu seed unconcerned and nodded in response.

Feng and Fulajie’er were hiding in the shadows, observing the situation under the moonlight. Fulajie’er asked anxiously, “That reckless kid is really charging in thoughtlessly. Should we help him?”

“No need. I feel that the man doesn’t seem intent on killing him.” Feng shook his head and replied.

“That’s hard to say. He looks like the kind of person who speaks deceptively. His words can’t be trusted.” Fulajie’er remarked.

“For now, you return to report back. I’ll stay and monitor the situation. If things go awry, I’ll intervene.” Feng said.

“Alright, but you must be careful.” Fulajie’er said, then vanished promptly, leaving Feng’s domain.

“I am Xing Hu, disciple of the Hongying Sect. Prepare yourself for my teachings!”

As Xing Hu spoke, the sword in his hand tore through the air, releasing a sharp Qi Force that shot diagonally toward Yebo.

But Yebo seed unflustered, dodging the lethal strike by sidestepping and drawing closer to Xing Hu.

Seeing this, Xing Hu swung his sword again, unleashing more Qi Force, converting the magical power stored within him into razor-sharp attacks, intending to use the dense assault to block his opponent’s approach.

Facing the successive waves of Qi Force, Yebo showed no panic. While advancing, he activated his Qiyun Zhoutian, followed by a surge of magical energy enveloping his body to form an invisible shield.

With this shield, he crossed his arms before his eyes and forcefully blocked Xing Hu’s attacks.

As his opponent drew near and increasingly nullified his attacks, Xing Hu grew tense. He retreated in broad strides to widen the distance between them. Then, he struck a peculiar pose and focused his energy again.

This ti, he changed his approach, channeling the energy into his sword instead of unleashing Qi Force attacks. With a resonant sound, flas ignited around his longsword, illuminating the surroundings.

“Oh, interesting!”

Yebo widened his eyes with a hint of surprise but remained composed. Undeterred, he continued advancing without regard for Xing Hu’s actions.

“You go too far!”

Xing Hu bellowed, swinging his fiery sword once more. This ti, instead of Qi Force, it unleashed a blazing fla.

Unfortunately, his attacks seed to have little effect. He swung three to four tis, yet all were easily dodged by Yebo without encountering resistance. Yebo’s agile movents clearly showed that he had practiced the Ba Path Flow Redirect.

“Well then, in that case—!”

Taking a deep breath, Xing Hu faced the relentless approach of his foe with resolve. Calming himself, he channeled his magical energy once again.

He stepped back two paces before plunging his sword into the ground. As the blade sank, a burst of chilling air emanated from the sword’s core, rapidly spreading outward. It was so fast that within seconds, Yebo felt the piercing cold engulf him.

“To reach this level, truly impressive.”

Yebo’s body trembled as the bone-chilling cold pierced him, causing involuntary convulsions and slowing his movents.

Yet, strangely, instead of panic, Yebo reacted with a pleased expression.

Soon after, Xing Hu’s actions not only stunned Yebo but nearly caused Feng, watching from the shadows, to cry out. Feng quickly covered his mouth with his hand.

Seeing his opponent’s slowed movents, Xing Hu did not continue using Qi Force attacks. Instead, he gleefully struck out with a direct palm thrust aid at Yebo’s face.

“Idiot!” Feng cursed inwardly, covering his mouth.

Yebo responded to Xing Hu’s strike with a disappointed expression. Though his movents were slightly sluggish, they were still sufficient to counter effectively.

As Xing Hu’s palm struck forth, Yebo delivered a palm of his own. The two made sudden contact, their palms colliding forcefully.

A surge of energy erupted instantly. Feng, who had learned the art of Magical Fluctuations sensing, could clearly feel the imnse wave of magical power.

The outco was completely within Feng’s expectations. A cry of anguish echoed as Yebo remained rooted while Xing Hu was sent flying backward, landing heavily on the ground, his sword flung far away.

Resisting the urge to intervene, Feng bit his lip and continued to observe the scene patiently.

After defeating Xing Hu, Yebo did not imdiately deliver the finishing blow. Instead, he lowered his head to inspect the blood on his palm and shook his head, lanting, “As expected of a disciple from a sect, still lacking in skill.”

Gripping his left hand tightly, Xing Hu could not suppress his screams from the searing pain. Blood flowed endlessly from his palm, which was visibly wounded by Yebo’s Flow Redirect technique.

As a novice in the martial world, Xing Hu lacked battle experience and had not learned the golden rule—to never use one’s body to directly engage an opponent unless absolutely necessary.

This was the reason Feng cursed him as an idiot since Huayu Ting had repeatedly emphasized this point during her teachings.

“I won’t kill you. Go ho and train properly. Don’t co out and embarrass yourself again.” Yebo stood still, speaking coldly to Xing Hu. His disappointnt was evident.

“What… what did you… do… to ?” Xing Hu gasped, drenched in sweat.

“Just a minor trick. You brought this upon yourself. What kind of fool are you?” Yebo rolled his eyes and shook his head.

Having said that, he ignored the disgraced Xing Hu and turned his gaze toward Anxiang Zheng, who had been observing all along. He then said, “Now, Manor Lord, have you made your decision? Will you lend us a small hand, or let chaos run its course?”

“I’ll help you,” Anxiang Zheng replied coldly, his tone shifting suddenly as he added, “But I must kill that brat.”

“No, no, no. I didn’t say that Manor Lord could kill soone in my presence.” Yebo gestured dismissively.

“Who exactly is he? Why are you protecting him like this?” Anxiang Zheng asked icily.

“All young talents in the martial world are potential assets for us.” Yebo answered vaguely.

“He knows my secret.” Anxiang Zheng said.

“I promise he won’t speak of it. Alright?” Yebo’s voice grew stern as he continued, “And let clarify, I’m not asking you—I’m commanding you. Anxiang Zheng, don’t be ungrateful when given respect.”

Faced with the threat, Anxiang Zheng lowered his head, deep in thought.

“Now that Anxiang Cai is not in the city, this is the perfect opportunity to transfer the Saint. Miss it, and Manor Lord, our promise will expire.” Yebo urged further.

“If I transfer the Saint and the higher-ups reprimand …”

“We have our thods. Manor Lord can still maintain his position. How about it?”

“What thods do you have?”

“Ah, that, I can’t disclose.”

“Fine…” Anxiang Zheng lowered his head again, then raised it to ask, “Will you keep threatening in the future?”

“That depends on your fortune. If we no longer need Manor Lord, there’s no reason to waste ti.” Yebo replied.

Hearing this, Anxiang Zheng clenched his fists tightly, his veins bulging on his forehead.

“Manor Lord, no need to be angry,” Yebo remarked, sensing his fury, and smiled. “Your little sches, should we wish to uncover them, are not difficult. In other words, you have no secrets before us. Understood?”

“We need the Saint, so we’re obligated to pressure Manor Lord. If we have no business with you, we naturally won’t bother. Rember, it’s not because we know your secrets that we threatened you; it’s because you have no secrets before us.”
