Chapter 1674: Chapter 1667: Audacious to the Extre

Was it an illusion? Baiyue couldn’t shake the feeling that the Tangmo before her was becoming more and more obsessive. This reminded her of Tangmo’s other side—the one who would definitely say such things.

Logically speaking, Tangmo’s dual personalities should function independently. But now, the Tangmo before her seed increasingly to resemble that obsessive younger sister, displaying a fierce possessiveness toward Luo’er.

“Could it be… that the two personalities have already rged?”

Baiyue thought silently, feeling a chill run down her spine. While she had reconciled with that Momo side, most of the Advance Team—including Baiyue herself—never wanted Momo to beco the true Tangmo. Because with her temperant, nobody could guess how much chaos she might bring.

Turning a street corner, the two of them kept switching directions—left, then right—since it was their first ti in this city, and they weren’t familiar with its streets. Soon, they had left the bustling crowds behind and ended up in a desolate, silent alley.

“Well, this is just great. We’ve trapped ourselves,” Tangmo muttered as she stared at the dead end ahead.

“It’s not that bad,” Baiyue replied, turning around as she removed the Origin Submachine Gun from her shoulder and unlocked the safety.

“Hold on.” Tangmo grabbed her hand, speaking earnestly. “First, figure out their hostility. Feign weakness before the enemy.”

Baiyue froze for a mont upon hearing Tangmo’s words, then nodded slowly, lowering the barrel of her gun.

Of course, feigning weakness didn’t an doing nothing. Tangmo gently drew the Magic Wand from her waist, keeping it poised for imdiate use.

After all, Tangmo wasn’t just anybody—she was a high-level mage skilled in Semi-Forbidden Curse Magic. According to the East Continent’s system, she equated to an early Golden Core Realm expert.

Others might rely on external aid or technology, but the seemingly fragile Tangmo was by far the most formidable mber of the Advance Team.

The two of them pivoted to face the direction they’d co from. Before long, four or five figures appeared at the alley’s entrance. Seeing that the two were cornered in the dead end, the figures slowed their pace and began closing in.

“Why’d you stop running? Pretty fast for amateurs!” the man leading the group sneered.

“It’s you…” Tangmo’s gaze darkened, her eyes fixed on the leader.

He wasn’t just anyone—he was the man who had blocked their carriage at Jufeng Pass two days ago. No one knew how he’d ended up here in Guyi Governnt instead of holding the fort at Jufeng Pass.

“Heh heh…” The man stared lecherously at Tangmo, shalessly licking his lips.

The reason for his appearance here was simple—he was just on rotation. Yet he couldn’t stop thinking about Tangmo’s graceful figure and radiant aura from their first encounter, qualities that captivated him completely.

Back then, Tangmo had deliberately adopted a high-and-mighty deanor, looking down on the crowd with an air of superiority to suppress the local soldiers. Unexpectedly, soone actually fell for her act and beca utterly bewitched.

Tangmo wasn’t exactly an unparalleled beauty, but as a half-Elf, her appearance was naturally above average.

Moreover, due to her lineage, her aging process was extraordinarily slow. Though she was well into her twenties, she looked as young and pure as a girl experiencing her first crush.

Of course, this wasn’t unique to her. One look at Luo’er, and one could understand the true aning of tiless beauty.

“What do you want?” Tangmo asked coldly, her expression grim.

“Don’t be so tense. I heard of your long journey here and wanted to offer a host’s hospitality. But who would have thought you’d run so fast!” the man said with a twisted smile.

“Spare the pleasantries. Why don’t you leave us alone?” Tangmo replied.

“Heh heh heh, that’s not for you to decide,” the man said, his disgusting grin widening and his expression growing more distorted.

The five of them had completely blocked off Tangmo and Baiyue’s exit. They all had knives tucked at their waists but seed to underestimate the duo’s strength; none of them had drawn their weapons yet.

“Oh, I get it—you’re interested in ?” Tangmo suddenly switched tones, speaking calmly.

“With your heavenly beauty, of course we want to host a banquet to honor you. Would the young lady grace us with her presence?” The man licked his lips as he spoke.

“You disgusting frogs think you’re worthy of ? Clearly, you don’t know your place,” Tangmo sneered, her tone dripping with mockery.

Beside her, Baiyue tightened her grip on the rifle and turned to look at Tangmo. There was no mistaking it—she recognized the familiar aura emanating from Tangmo. Yes, it was Momo. She was here.

“Just wait until we properly entertain you, and then you’ll know who the real frogs are.” The man’s expression darkened, his voice icy.

“Leave now, or don’t bla for spilling blood,” Tangmo said ominously, her face clouded.

“You think your Ghost Race sorcery scares ? Everyone knows it’s just trickery—smoke and mirrors,” the man scoffed dismissively.

“Oh really? Then why not give it another try?” Tangmo tilted her head, her voice laced with nace.

“Hey, maybe we should just let it go—that woman is dangerous,” one of the n muttered uneasily.

“What’s there to be afraid of?” the leader snapped at his companion. “I told you, it’s all smoke and mirrors. That woman isn’t even a true cultivator! I, with my Jiedan Realm cultivation, have no reason to fear her.”

“Ah, so you’re a cultivator…” Tangmo mused, her eyes drifting to Baiyue’s Origin Submachine Gun.

For cultivators, this was the most terrifying weapon imaginable. A single bullet could cause an Inner Core Explosion, destroying years of cultivation and rendering them unable to practice ever again.

Even worse, a cultivator’s Dantian would exhibit the Black Hole Effect toward the Yuanzi particles, actively attracting them off course until they struck the core. This was why the Advance Team never dared to use firearms around Feng.

“As a cultivator, you should use your skills for virtue and justice,” Tangmo said coldly. “But instead, you degrade yourself, bringing harm to others and intending to prey on travelers. Don’t you fear the punishnt of Family Law?”

In Qi State, invoking national law was futile with such n. Family Law was the only deterrent that had true weight.

“Don’t try to scare . Others might not know, but I’m not fooled. You’re spies posing as emissaries!” The man shouted, pointing at Tangmo.

“You were already chastised by Anxiang Mao earlier. So why, even now, do you think you know better than the border guards about spotting spies?” Tangmo replied mockingly.

“Driven by lust, yet claiming clarity of judgnt. n like you only erode the Anxiang family’s foundations. It’s only a matter of ti before you bring disaster upon yourself.”

Her biting words ca one after another, stoking the man’s rage to a boiling point.

There are only two reasons soone might rage so fiercely—either the insults were unbearable, or the insults struck a nerve, accurately pinpointing their biggest insecurities.

“Enough nonsense! Co with us, and we’ll find out if you’re spies!” The man bellowed, leveling his finger at Tangmo.

“Check? You think you’re worthy?” Tangmo’s voice was icy as she declared, “My body belongs to Luo’er—no one else can touch it. Those harboring wicked designs will either lose the top two or the bottom two!”

Her shocking words left Baiyue even more convinced—the Tangmo before her was none other than that unhinged younger sister. Only she would make such brazen declarations, openly exposing her obsessive feelings for Luo’er.

“You’re welco to co and take them yourself!” the man retorted, a trace of hesitation betraying his otherwise confident words.

“Fine by . Just stand still and don’t move,” Tangmo said, suddenly drawing her Magic Wand as she shouted hysterically. “You all think we’ve gone too long without shedding blood, don’t you? That we Advance Team mbers are just talkers relying on rhetoric to walk the world. Have you all forgotten how many lives are on our hands?”

“That woman’s got a screw loose. Maybe we should back off…” murmured one of the n, his anxiety palpable.

“What are you afraid of, you coward? She’s just trying to intimidate us. If she really had the ability to strike, wouldn’t she just do it already instead of wasting words?” the leader reprimanded him harshly.

Despite his bold words, the leader’s unease was evident. Slowly, he drew the knife from his waist. Seeing his actions, the rest of the group followed suit, each unsheathing their weapon.
