156: Chapter 152: lia Visits 156: Chapter 152: lia Visits “What’s wrong?” Seeing Luo’er’s change in expression, Murong curiously moved closer, trying to read what was on the paper.

But embarrassingly, his Tasta language skills were lacking, and he hadn’t practised much after his tests, so he couldn’t understand what was written.

Luo’er ignored him.

He looked around and noticed that Li Si was not nearby the training ground.

After a mont of hesitation, he waved at Cheng Ziang in the distance.

Getting the ssage, Cheng Ziang stood up and rushed towards him.

They discussed for a mont, then hurriedly headed towards the manor.

“Luo’er, where are you going?” Seeing Luo’er turning to leave, Tangmo couldn’t help but ask loudly.

“Nothing’s wrong, continue your training!” Luo’er waved back without turning his head.

“What happened?” She turned towards Baiyue and asked.

Baiyue glanced at Luo’er, then at Murong before answering in a clear and precise tone: “Princess lia is here!”

“lia,” Tangmo quietly repeated the na, before suddenly realising its significance.

“lia, that princess of Masya…” She watched Luo’er’s retreating figure, muttering to herself.

“What’s lia up to?” Luo’er asked Cheng Ziang as they walked side by side.

“Not sure, but she’s probably seeking help.” Cheng Ziang pondered for a mont before replying.

The letter was personally written by Princess lia, informing Luo’er and the others that her party had already arrived at the outskirts of Yazhi City and hoped they could put in a good word for them at the headquarters.

Upon arriving at the manor, they found Li Si in his room, staring out the window in silence, much like Wang Xu.

Luo’er and Cheng Ziang handed him the letter and briefly explained its contents.

“Why did Princess lia co to Yazhi City?” Li Si asked.

“Perhaps she wants to discuss cooperation with us.” Luo’er replied.

“Cooperation?” Li Si turned and looked at him, questioning.

“Yes,” Luo’er nodded, adding, “Princess lia’s brother is now the heir to the throne of Masya, but she has always coveted the throne.

The siege of Obus last ti had sothing to do with her.”

The battle of Obus ended shortly after Luo’er arrived in Yazhi City.

Although the rebels couldn’t capture Obus, they heavily depleted the kingdom’s forces.

The Crown Prince’s front-line troops were also almost completely consud, losing their offensive capabilities.

Princess lia had few, if any, supporters within the kingdom.

Therefore, despite successfully undermining the Crown Prince, she didn’t have the resources for a drawn-out struggle against him.

If the king were to die and the crown prince ascend to the throne, she would have nowhere to turn to.

“Does lia want us to help her seize the throne?” Li Si asked.

“I’m not sure, but the urgent issue now is whether or not we should et lia.” Luo’er said.

“Hmm,” Li Si nodded, paused and said, “Anyway, let’s first send a ssage to the front-line headquarters and see what they think!”

“Understood!” Both Luo’er and Cheng Ziang nodded in agreent.

“If we need to et her, you two will go to Yazhi City to introduce them, while the rest stay here and continue training,” Li Si instructed.

“Understood!” Both agreed, exchanged a glance, then nodded.

Soon, Luo’er called Tangmo back and sent a letter to Wang Xu using her magic ssenger.

The magic ssenger is naturally faster than a carrier pigeon, so within two hours, they received a ssage from the front-line command.

The letter was brief.

Wang Xu had reported the situation and was awaiting a response from the headquarters.

In the anti, Luo’er was told to return to the frontline command post.

As per Li Si’s arrangents, Luo’er and Cheng Ziang, as introducers, returned to the front-line command post.

The rest stayed behind to continue training.

So Luo’er and Cheng Ziang rode their horses, brought with them Princess lia’s carrier pigeon, and hurried towards Holy Heart City.

The journey from the manor to the command post was two days by road, but they could arrive within 24 hours if they galloped non-stop.

And that’s exactly what they did, arriving at the base by noon the next day.

The two of them entered the office together, where Wang Xu was as usual, sitting at his desk analyzing stacks of intel.

When he saw them co in, he put down the files in hand.

“What do you know about lia?” Standing up, Wang Xu asked.

“lia wants to snatch the throne of Masya from her father and brother.

She is cunning and ruthless.

For her own interests, she will sacrifice anyone who is irrelevant to her,” Luo’er relayed his thoughts on lia.

“Do you think lia’s attempt to take the throne could succeed?” Wang Xu continued to ask.

The two exchanged a look, then Luo’er answered, “Right now, Princess lia is at a disadvantage and I can’t guarantee anything.

But I believe if she has enough supporters, her chances of gaining the throne would be rather high.”

After listening to Luo’er’s words, Wang Xu nodded, not asking further questions.

Luo’er couldn’t help but ask, “What’s the attitude at Headquarters?”

“Still no reply.

You guys should rest a bit first, you hurried back for a full day and night.” Wang Xu shrugged and said.

At Wang Xu’s words, the two did indeed feel a bit sleepy.

After returning to their rooms, they collapsed on their beds and fell into a deep sleep.

They didn’t know how long they slept, but when Luo’er opened his eyes, it was already dark and the Magic Crystal Lamps in the mansion were lit.

A staff mber knocked on his door, asking him to co to the office.

Arriving at the office, he found that Cheng Ziang had already arrived.

Wang Xu sat behind the office desk.

Seeing Luo’er, he stood up and relayed the opinions from Headquarters.

The opinion was just four words: Recomnd contact!

As for how to make contact, it was left to the frontline Headquarters to decide.

In terms of decision-making, Headquarters had always adopted an empowering model, giving the frontline Headquarters great autonomy to deal with special situations flexibly.

“So, what do you intend to do?” asked Luo’er.

After a mont of silence, Wang Xu said, “Firstly, we need to confirm whether she is deceiving us or not.”

Luo’er said, “I sowhat understand Princess lia.

She’s bright and thorough, qualifying as an effective politician.

So, I think, if she wants our help, she must also have what we need.”

“Indeed you say so, but how would she know what we want?” Wang Xu asked with skepticism.

“Luo’er, answer ,” Wang Xu stared at him, asking seriously, “Has your identity been exposed?”

Luo’er hesitated for a mont, then nodded, continuing, “Princess lia had discovered our identities, so I had to disclose our identities to her.”

“So, it’s clear then.

Princess lia wants to use the help of us Earthlings to seize the throne.” Wang Xu nodded.

“Shall we make contact?” Luo’er asked tentatively.

“Hmm,” Wang Xu nodded his head, “We should first secretly contact her and see what she wants and what she can offer.”

“Understood, we’ll make arrangents right away!” Luo’er said while nodding.

“Just arrange for her to co to the mansion!” Wang Xu suggested.

“Understood!” Luo’er nodded, and the two turned to leave the office.

Stepping out of the office, Luo’er took a pigeon out of its cage, prepared a letter, and released it into the sky.

The distance between them and lia was only a few dozen kiloters, so they believed that lia would soon receive the letter and respond.

After arranging all of these things, both of them went back to their dormitory for a nap.

At dawn, Luo’er received a reply from Princess lia.

She was located in a farmhouse on the outskirts of Yazhi City.

As per their previous requirents, both of them had to go and pick up Princess lia and bring her to their station alone.

Luo’er looked at the map.

The distance to lia was less than twenty kiloters, so the two of them mounted their horses and moved towards the location of Princess lia.

By the ti the morning fog had completely dissipated, they had finally arrived at the farm where Princess lia stayed.

Outside the house stood several burly n, cloaked and wearing chainmail, with exquisite and gorgeous long swords buckled around their waists.

Seeing Luo’er and the others arrive, the burly man at the front gave a cold snort and turned his head in disapproval.

Luo’er recognized these guys.

They were the knights who were trapped by the rebels while protecting lia.

The man leading them was the chief knight.

“Please inform Her Highness, the Princess, that Luo’er has arrived!” Luo’er said to the chief knight while riding his horse.

“Dismount and speak, is that how you talk to ?” The chief knight pointed at Luo’er and said loudly and vigorously.

“Chief Knight, if you love making trouble and if Princess’s plan fails because of this, can you bear the responsibility?” Looking down from his horse, Luo’er sneered.

“You!” The chief knight pointed at Luo’er and was about to draw his sword when a maidenly salute made him retreat.

lia erged from the house, clad in a simple black dress.

Her hair rolled into a bun beneath a transparent black veil.

“Long ti no see, Lord Luo’er!” On seeing Luo’er’s arrival, lia slowly lifted her veil and revealed a sweet smile.

“Long ti no see, Your Highness!” Luo’er also bowed slightly as a courtesy.

lia looked different from the last ti they t, she no longer had the exquisite, gorgeous jewelry she used to wear.

Her plain appearance made the freckles on her face more obvious.

Still, her complexion was fair.

As a princess, she was spoiled from childhood.

Her every move revealed an elegant deanor.

For all their ti spent traveling north and south, this was the first ti the Advance Team had t such an attractive woman.

“Princess, according to our prior agreent, you must co with us to the headquarters alone.

If you agree, then we should leave now!” Shaking his head to ward off fanciful thoughts, Luo’er said straightforwardly.
