1187: Chapter 1180: Rescue Fulanta 1187: Chapter 1180: Rescue Fulanta Ever since he bid farewell to the troops of over two thousand, Fulanta had been feeling uneasy, always sensing that sothing was about to happen.

In recent days, the ssages from Lipei had been frequent, constantly inquiring about these individuals in great detail, including where they usually stayed, when they slept and woke up, and what they liked to eat, among other things.

Fulanta was exhausted from the running about, and he nearly exposed his whereabouts several tis, but fortunately, he managed to cover them up each ti.

Just when he was on tenterhooks, another ssage from Lipei arrived.

This ti, the letter did not inquire about ssy details but contained only one sentence: “Wait by the pond outside the manor between five and six in the morning for rescue.”

When he received the letter, it was already past one in the morning, and at the sight of this letter, he felt a sense of relief, but it was quickly replaced by an acceleration of his heartbeat.

That night, he stayed awake, not even undressing.

Squinting until five in the morning, he looked at the pocket watch in his hand, and his body sprung up from the bed like it had springs, then he walked over to the window and looked out.

At that mont, the sky and the earth were enveloped in the cold night, and only dark silhouettes were visible around.

But he knew that in the forest, there must be many fully ard soldiers already lurking and restless.

Without caring about other things, Fulanta washed his face with water, then opened the room door and stepped out.

The corridor was brightly lit at this ti, yet scarcely populated, save for the occasional passing rcenaries and servants keeping watch at night, leaving the corridor mostly empty.

He took a deep breath and then hurried to the stairs.

Just as he reached the end of the corridor, he bumped full into soone.

“Mr.

Fulanta, what are you doing up so late without sleeping?” the person stepped back and then scrutinized Fulanta, asking.

“Oh, this, I couldn’t sleep, felt uneasy, wanted to take a walk,” Fulanta replied calmly.

“What’s there to be uneasy about?

In a little while, there should be good news coming from the front.” The cor said with a smile.

“Hopefully so,” Fulanta nodded perfunctorily.

“Where would Mr.

Fulanta like to go to clear his mind?” the person continued to ask.

“Well, outside, to walk by the pond,” Fulanta said sowhat hesitantly.

“May I have the honor of joining you?” the person asked tentatively.

“Uh, sorry, I prefer walking alone, it allows to think without having to be distracted by conversation,” Fulanta tactfully declined his offer.

“I see, then please proceed as you wish.” The person nodded with a smile, then made a gesture of permission.

“I’ll take my leave.” Fulanta nodded lightly and then turned to walk down the stairs.

Little did he know, that person had always been suspicious of Fulanta’s true identity, so as soon as Fulanta walked a short distance down the stairs, that person quietly followed him.

Possibly eager to get ho, Fulanta did not notice that soone was tailing him.

He hurried out of the mansion, then down the steps of the hill to the boundary wall.

After speaking briefly with the guard, the guard opened the gate and let him out.

The pond was positioned about ten ters outside the wall, a favored spot for relaxation among the manor’s dwellers, hence it was slightly cultivated, with stone paths laid on the ground and a statue of the god of light standing in the center of the pond.

The pond was semi-encircled by the forest, and the lord of the manor had carved out a path around the pond for walking and leisure.

Fulanta walked slowly along the path around the pond, carefully observing the movents in the jungle.

“Boss, soone is coming!” Seeing Fulanta, an Assault Team mber tapped the drowsy Hu Daoke, saying.

Upon hearing this, Hu Daoke opened his eyes and scrutinized carefully, and after confirming it was Fulanta, nodded and said, “Good, it’s him, go tie him up to prevent him from screaming.”

Just as his subordinates were preparing to move, an Assault Team mber suddenly said anxiously, “Boss, there’s soone following him, be careful!”

Looking in his designated direction, they saw three sneaky figures closely following Fulanta, who was only focused on the movent in the woods, completely unaware of those behind him.

These were the n following Fulanta, summoned from standing guard at the door to trail behind him.

Should Fulanta make any suspicious move, they would rush forward imdiately to capture him and take him back to the mansion.

“Boss, have we been set up?” an Assault Team mber asked anxiously.

“Stay calm, just a few n trying to ss with us?

This idiot doesn’t even realize he’s being followed,” Hu Daoke responded lightly.

“What should we do?” the team mbers asked.

“Hmm, you two go tie up Fulanta.

And you two, take out those two flunkies, and I’ll handle the leader,” Hu Daoke said as he pulled a gleaming dagger from his pocket.

At his command, the group sprang into action.

Two Assault Team mbers lifted their rifles, aiming at the two flunkies.

As the rifles trembled, the Magic Silencers ensured they made no sound, only the flash of gunfire visible.

The man closely trailing Fulanta felt a pair of eyes flash in the not-too-distant woods, followed by agonizing moans from the two guards behind him as they collapsed to the ground one after another.

Just as he turned to observe, a burly figure darted out of the woods towards him, a powerful hand suddenly covering his mouth, silencing him.

As he prepared to resist, he felt a chilling sensation on his neck, followed by numbness.

He felt a hot liquid spraying from his neck, and his body gradually weakened as this liquid poured out.

The burly figure pinned him firmly to the ground, making movent impossible.

He exerted all his strength but could not free himself from the restraining hand over his mouth.

Eventually, as the strength continued to spray from his neck and the liquid filled his lungs, he felt increasingly powerless and suffocating, soon losing all signs of life.

When Hu Daoke felt no more movents, he removed his hand from the man’s mouth, his hand now sared with bright red blood.

He stood up from the ground, shook off the blood from his hand, looked around, then headed to the pond to clean the blood from his dagger.

Elsewhere, the two Assault Team mbers executed a lightning-fast ambush.

One held Fulanta while the other covered his mouth and forcefully dragged him into the jungle.

Hu Daoke ordered the team mbers who had fired to drag the three bodies into the woods, then approached Fulanta himself.

The team mbers still restrained him, forcefully covering his mouth.

Out of fear and unaware of what had happened, Fulanta struggled continuously.

Hu Daoke walked over, signaled the team mbers to release Fulanta, covered his mouth before he could scream, leaned in close, lowered his voice, and scolded, “That’s enough, you recognize , right?

Keep thrashing about, and I might just slaughter you too.”

After speaking, he let go of Fulanta.

Fulanta did not continue to scream but instead stared at him with wide eyes, asking in surprise, “Is it really you?

You actually ca?”

“What kind of question is that, shouldn’t we co?” Hu Daoke shrugged and said.

“No, no, I an, why would you co to rescue ?” Fulanta stamred.

“The attack is about to begin, better to rescue you first to avoid any accidental injury or persecution,” Hu Daoke rolled his eyes as he spoke.

“Thank you, thank you so much,” Fulanta said, bowing repeatedly with excitent.

“Alright, enough with the niceties, tell us what’s happening inside first, then we’ll arrange for a Transport Plane to get you out of here,” Hu Daoke said, waving his hand impatiently.

“Up in the air?” Fulanta asked in surprise.

“Can you stay on topic, please?” Hu Daoke said irritably.

“Sorry, sorry, I apologize, uh, the situation inside is…” Fulanta apologized profusely before briefly reporting on the situation inside the mansion.

Hu Daoke had the communications officer record the information and then transmit it back to Headquarters, then pointed to a spot not far away and said, “You were followed by three tails, don’t tell you did that on purpose.”
