1124: Chapter 1117: Greeting in Divine Wood Town 1124: Chapter 1117: Greeting in Divine Wood Town Soon, the woods were again filled with bursts of commotion, and the Advance Team rushed out, guns in hand, only to be stunned by the scene before them, as if ti itself had stopped.
“This…” Luo’er looked at the people hanging in mid-air, seemingly in mid-run, and felt as though ti had been frozen in this area.
“I told you I could handle it,” Xia Yue said lightly, sitting in the carriage, looking down at her fingers.
“Tie them all up,” Luo’er ordered, turning his head, then reassuringly set down his weapon and walked towards Xia Yue.
“Are you alright, Lord Xia Yue?” Luo’er asked, frowning as he looked at the Aud man suspended in the air.
“Nothing much, just felt offended,” Xia Yue said, without lifting her head.
“Is it him?” Upon hearing this, Luo’er suddenly drew his pistol from his waist and aid it at the head of the Aud man.
“Ahhhhhhhh!!!” The Aud man, unable to move, but still able to think and speak, scread in terror when he realized Luo’er’s hostility.
“Shut up!” Luo’er said coldly.
“It’s my first ti seeing you like this,” Xia Yue then lifted her head, smiling rrily at Luo’er.
“Humans are very complex creatures,” Luo’er said.
“I am a god, not qualified to deal with these people, you decide for yourselves,” Xia Yue said, and with a casual snap of her fingers,
it was as if ti resud its flow, and the Aud man, propelled by his previous running effort, crashed into the carriage, rolling on the ground clutching his head in pain.
“Don’t move, put your hands on your head and kneel,” Luo’er commanded loudly, pointing the pistol at him.
Clearly, the Aud man had no intention of surrendering without a fight; he imdiately targeted Xia Yue, who was within arm’s reach.
If he could take her hostage, he might have a chance to escape.
However, he never got the chance to act because the mont he made his move, Xia Yue sensed his intention.
The Aud man didn’t even manage to touch her fair, delicate foot before he was frozen in place again, unable to move from his original posture.
“I’ve said that gods are not to be desecrated, why don’t you believe it?” Xia Yue, shaking her little foot and tilting her head with a smile, finally looked up at Luo’er, “Luo’er, you know what to do, right?”
“I know!” Luo’er nodded coldly, took out a Magic Silencer from his pocket, fitted it on the muzzle of his pistol, and then shot the Aud man in the temple.
The bullet silently passed through his head, blowing a large hole out the other side.
As his head exploded, Xia Yue released him from his bondage; the Aud man collapsed onto the carriage, his body completely limp.
Luo’er was more than willing to play the role of a saint protecting a god; he had to.
He knew very well that Xia Yue was the most powerful force in this world, unmatched by any other.
Unless the Ancestors were resurrected and their technology restored, there was scarcely anyone in this world who could contend with Xia Yue.
To kill her would an having to destroy the world.
Such a cost, even if it succeeded in killing Xia Yue, would be futile.
Thus, in a sense, Xia Yue was a supre entity in this world.
Even if Luo’er was reluctant, he had no choice but to submit to her power.
Looking at the man collapsed on the ground, Xia Yue’s eyes showed a tinge of greed.
Although her true form did not need to eat, this body still needed energy to sustain itself.
And the best way to maintain this body was to rapidly assimilate other carbon-based life forms.
But after just a glance, Xia Yue quickly shifted her gaze, sighing sowhat regretfully.
After so consideration, she decided to maintain this low-energy state.
After all, as a god, she should not interfere too much with this world.
Although the man was already dead, she could not devour him.
It did not matter to her, but the mbers of the Advance Team might have reservations, and Xia Yue did not intend to tarnish the image she had in their eyes.
“Dispose of him, and let’s get moving.
If we don’t leave now, you’ll encounter more ti-wasting trouble,” Xia Yue said indifferently.
“Traveling at night?” Luo’er looked at the increasingly dark sky and asked hesitantly.
“What’s there to fear?” Xia Yue said.
“Yes, we’ll pack up and leave imdiately,” Luo’er nodded and then turned around to give a loud command.
“Boss, what about them?” Hu Daoke tied up the remaining mbers of the hunting team and then looked up at Luo’er and asked.
“Tie them here, a Wood Elf will co and take care of them,” Luo’er said.
“Understood!” Hu Daoke nodded, then bent over and patted a man’s face, smiling as he said, “Brother, life and death are decreed by fate, wealth is in the heavens, take good care of yourself.”
The man looked at him blankly and in terror, bewildered because he hadn’t understood a word of the Chinese that Hu Daoke had just spoken.
Thus, the group left the mbers of the hunting team behind and urged the coachman to start the journey.
If those n were lucky, it wouldn’t be long before a Wood Elf patrol or villagers traced and found them.
Of course, if they were unlucky, there were still many fierce beasts in the woods of Ilanadale.
They raced along the road all night, safely and without incident.
According to the coachman, the woods of Ilanadale were still very dangerous, although they had only been opened recently, but there had already been more than five incidents of convoys being attacked by wild animals.
Their safe passage was probably largely due to Xia Yue.
By noon the next day, the horses finally gave out, so they had no choice but to stop and rest in place, waiting for the horses to recover.
They needed a rest too, as the continuous jolting had made it impossible for them to sleep well.
After lunch and a rest in the woods, they heard the thundering sound of hooves coming directly towards them.
The group looked at each other and then turned to Luo’er.
After a mont’s thought, he waved his hand, signaling them to pick up their weapons.
Before long, a troop of Elven Cavalry appeared in their view.
It was a troop composed entirely of won.
They wore dazzling light armor, beautiful head ornants, and each one carried an automatic rifle on her shoulder.
Upon seeing the Advance Team, the cavalry imdiately stopped.
Then, a leading female Elf on horseback ca forward.
She was quite burly, unusually so for the Elf Race, and if Cheng Ziang and the others rembered correctly, they seed to have seen this woman in Divine Wood Town.
With sharp eyes, the leading female Elf eyed Luo’er, her sexy thick lips barely moving as she declared loudly, “By His Majesty’s command, I am honored to welco Captain Luo’er to Divine Wood Town as a guest.”
“Captain Perlo, how did you know we were coming to Divine Wood Town?” Luo’er stepped forward and asked calmly.
“The Priest told His Majesty,” Perlo replied straightforwardly without evasion.
“The Priest…” On hearing this na, everyone imdiately thought of that gentle and graceful male Elf whose every move exuded elegance.
“Could it be Tana’s command?” Luo’er muttered, turning to look at Xia Yue.
“Don’t ask , I only asked her to remove the Wanted Order,” Xia Yue shrugged, looking innocent.
With Xia Yue’s statent, Luo’er felt more certain and turned back to Perlo after a mont’s thought and asked, “Where is my mother?”
“You…” Perlo pursed her thick lips and then said, “Princess Nina is waiting in Divine Wood Town.”
“Does she know I’m going to Divine Wood Town?” Luo’er continued to ask.
“She does…” After a mont’s hesitation, Perlo nodded.
“That’s fine, lead the way,” Luo’er nodded and said.
Although unsure whether dangers awaited them, Luo’er knew that as long as his mother was aware of his situation, she would definitely not ignore it.
The character of Nina, Luo’er knew well, and so did the other mbers of the Advance Team.
She was the kind of woman who would dare to sacrifice everything for her child.
The scene of her furious outburst for Luo’er’s sake was still vivid in their minds.
